18/04/2026: We were there on Thursday and had two simple margheritas. We were intrigued by the high donut-shaped edge... the inside was decidedly raw. Obviously, this is my opinion of the place, very nice and simple, the guys were very polite and helpful.

09/05/2026: A very good place, fantastic gourmet pizza and delicious traditional Neapolitan fare.
Impeccable service, panzerotti aren't the best, but they're much better (you can have them filled with your choice).
Wide selection at the counter and elsewhere.
The only flaw, and I'm very sorry about that, is that the chairs outside were slightly dirty, but I can't fault the service overall.

24/05/2026: Unfortunately, the service was unprofessional and unfriendly. Since we didn't have our phones, we asked for a menu. They said there wasn't one and pressured us to order. Later, we found one at the next table, which was occupied by Italian guests. The pizzas alone aren't worth coming back for.
05/05/2026: This restaurant is not just a pizzeria, but also a grill. The pizza is very thin but delicious and, above all, very digestible. While the meat was some of the best I had in Puglia during my vacation, I recommend the T-bone.

09/05/2026: Delicious pizza, one of the best I've ever eaten. My favorite is the Grimaldi with burrata from the Bitritto dairy: truly spectacular, with quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors.
It's a shame about the service, which is very slow, and the lack of punctuality in managing reservations: you often have to wait a long time to be seated. With better organization, it would be a practically perfect place.

20/05/2026: A very basic place, unpretentious but authentic. It only serves appetizers and pizzas. The appetizers are excellent and very reasonably priced. The appetizers aren't as generous as those you'd typically find in the area, so they're best paired with pizza. We didn't order them, but looking at the tables next to them, it looked good. We were happy, and will definitely return.
14/05/2026: A place that endures and retains its authenticity. Excellent, authentic appetizers, just like the ones my grandmother used to make. The staff is truly kind, friendly, and genuine. The quality is top-notch because it's homey.
The atmosphere isn't fancy, but it's wonderful precisely because it's so authentic, making it special. There used to be so many places that made you feel at home, and I almost didn't appreciate them, but now that everything is so commercially driven and I miss my grandmother, I think this place is a rare gem worth preserving.

07/06/2026: Very nice and well-kept place, the staff is really friendly, but the downside is that we arrived at 9:00 PM and were served at 10:30 PM. The appetizers were poor, the bread was hard, the pizza was dry and salty, and the tortelloni were completely undercooked, floating in a river of sauce! The presentation was too much showmanship! It's a real shame considering the beautiful location and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Regardless of personal taste, the prices are fair!

07/05/2026: The appetizers were generous. We had pizza and pasta, which were very fresh and delicious. Anthonio speaks a little French, which made it easier to get menu recommendations. The friendliness, service, and welcome were all excellent. We had a wonderful time!
03/05/2026: I visited Alta Marea Lab in Villanova (Ostuni) and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
I ordered an Angus tagliata, expecting the classic preparation: a whole cut of Angus beef cooked properly and sliced into even pieces. Instead, it was served as small, irregular strips, more like “straccetti,” with no proper presentation and not representative of what a tagliata should be. Having traveled extensively, this is the first time I’ve seen it served this way.
Overall, disappointing. The ingredients may have potential, but they are not handled or presented with the care you would expect.

22/04/2026: A very good restaurant frequented by locals. Fresh ingredients, curry risotto, gnocchi alla vongole, grilled swordfish, tiramisu. Impeccable service and a swim at the beach to aid digestion.
22/02/2026: The Universo restaurant is truly a universe of flavors and Salento hospitality. I stopped for Sunday lunch and everything was delicious: fresh and tasty dishes, good house wine, and the orange and almond cake that finished it all was excellent.
The staff were truly kind and helpful, never intrusive.

13/08/2025: Excellent experience! The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, especially the owner, Mr. Raffaele. The dishes were delicious, carefully prepared, and plentiful: the secret, he told us, was his mother's cooking. There are very few restaurants like this in Salento. Highly recommended!
