31/05/2026: We decided to return to this restaurant despite two previous bad experiences with slow service, with us waiting up to an hour for two pizzas. Yesterday, confidently, we invited some friends along to anticipate the problem, but they broke all records by making us wait about 30 minutes for water and beer. After 45 minutes, the appetizers finally arrived, all staggered, and finally, after a good hour, the pizza arrived, followed by a course every 30 minutes. Our friends' two entrees still hadn't arrived after 30 minutes. Upon our prompting, we managed to get them, only to be told they'd "perhaps" forgotten the delivery. In short, everyone ate cold food and did their own thing. We were hoping the other courses would arrive. Do you think we got a simple apology? Arrogantly, we were shrugged, as if to say, "That's how it works here!" Good luck to the poor, unsuspecting customers.

30/05/2026: AMBIENCE: Today I had lunch at the "da Marcello" restaurant in Pontinia. The restaurant is very well-maintained and spacious, both inside and out. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. EXPERIENCE: The house mixed antipasto consists of several courses, including: tomato and basil bruschetta, mixed cold cuts, fried meats, olives, vegetables, eggplant parmigiana, polenta, and mozzarella balls. Everything was fresh and delicious. For starters, I had a sample of strozzapreti with speck and radicchio, which were truly delicious, and a sample of gnocchi with ragù, which were equally delicious. For dessert, I had vanilla ice cream with apples and cinnamon, which was a delightful and surprising end to my meal.

29/04/2026: If you're nearby and don't want to go downtown and spend €100 on a good meal, dessert, or wine, this is your number one choice. Everything was delicious, the service was super fast, and the place is spectacular. I'm a tourist, and I preferred this place a thousand times over eating at a restaurant downtown.

03/05/2026: We went for Sunday lunch, 4 adults and 4 children. The service was friendly and courteous. The location was beautiful, right on the waterfront with large windows. The food was excellent: fried fish; sea bass; mussels soute; "veliero" (a dish for two with tuna steak, 2 king prawns, shrimp, fried fish and chips); gnocchi with clams and mussels; wine and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. The price was reasonable.

20/05/2026: I want to share my bad experience at this restaurant. I walked in around 10:45 PM. My friends were waiting for me, and as soon as I arrived, I asked if I could have a pizza, since they had already started eating. I was flatly refused, even though the kitchen was still open. Only later, after speaking to another waiter, who took my order, did the pizza arrive, but without cutlery or a napkin, just scissors. I ordered a water, which was brought without a glass, and I had to ask a friend for a tissue. (Photo attached) While I was eating, the cashier came to the table, a little annoyed, to bring us the bill. And as I was about to finish, I left a last bite on my plate to take a sip of water, and the waiter, without asking, took the plate right in front of me. So, annoyed, we decided to settle the accounts, go pay and leave. I went to pay first, having only ordered one pizza; the others would then add their share (calculated Roman style). As soon as I arrived, I told them what I was paying, and the cashier was abrupt and told me I had to pay 25 euros, because I would have to pay Roman style like the others or I would have to pay the entire bill. Having only ordered one pizza, I rightly didn't think it was fair to be forced to pay for what I hadn't consumed, like wine, beer, and appetizers my friends had eaten earlier, so I objected. An argument broke out, and one of my friends was attacked; the pizza chef snapped at him and started yelling. A friend of mine, exhausted by the situation, decided to pay the entire bill just to leave. But once we left the restaurant, as we were walking towards the parking lot, the owner chased us in his car, pulled over, asking if we'd had any problems, and met us in the parking lot to clarify. But at a certain point, the pizza chef appeared, along with other waiters and his cousin, surrounding us, and from there, we started another aggressive argument. I really thought it was going to end in physical altercations. It was an embarrassing situation, and it seems absurd to me that there is such staff. I've never seen such rude service, and I'll never return.

17/05/2026: Really good pizza, amazing fried food. If I could give you a tip, get the Iberian fried fish. The owner and his team are really kind and friendly.

12/12/2025: Title: A pizza dinner with friends, with an appetizer, dessert, and bottles of Moscato, not sweet sparkling wine. At the end of the dinner, when it was time to pay, the owner got annoyed simply because there was pizza left over, along with a bottle of Moscato and not sweet sparkling wine. We asked her to provide us with what we needed to take away what was left. I advise anyone who wants to eat here in the winter to bring appropriate clothing to withstand temperatures of 12 degrees Celsius in one of the dining rooms, and also to consider the cover charge without adequate heating. Finally, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE BOTH FOR THE RUDENESS OF THE OWNER AND THE CONDITION OF THE COVER SETTINGS IN THE COLD. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

03/12/2025: Excellent and plentiful food, amazing focaccia, a welcoming atmosphere, but it could use some updating; the pellet stoves aren't exactly in keeping with the decor. A little more attention could be paid to the details, such as the wine served in a bucket. Overall, a positive experience.

08/05/2026: I went to this pizzeria today... €9 for 250 grams, or a maximum of 300 grams of pizza plus half a glass of water. It seems absurd, we're talking about pizza... exorbitant prices, arrogant service, no receipt, and absolutely average quality.

21/02/2026: I'm not focusing on the product, which I don't know, but on the person. A few days ago, I went for an interview because they were looking for a pizza chef, and the owner offered me a contract—I'll leave it up to you to judge whether it's legal or not—for 46 hours a week, 6 days a week, complaining that only foreigners show up (why are you complaining, I wonder?). I accepted it and dared to ask if she could grant me the morning shift only on Tuesdays because I needed the afternoon off to take a course I'd previously paid for, and therefore I would have been willing to work all the other days of closure. I should point out that she previously canceled a test for me without reason, the afternoon before, when I'd canceled other interviews to do it, and oh well. Then the agency, which protects her interests, called me back, telling me that the woman would like to make a new appointment for a new test, and I foolishly accepted, given certain behaviors she'd already demonstrated. So, returning to what I wrote above, faced with my futile request for Tuesday afternoons off, while still guaranteeing her the lunch shift and accepting even more hours per week than the law allows, she once again dismissed me because she wasn't happy with Tuesday afternoons off, despite all the other conditions I had accepted. Obviously, it's better this way, because if this was the appetizer, imagine the rest. However, when you talk about "poor entrepreneurs" and "people who don't want to work," keep these stories in mind, because if Italy is a country slowly dying, it's also thanks to these individuals who feel they're in the right. I will boycott this pizzeria because, like me, there are many people who want and need to work and don't deserve to be treated this way. On Monday, I'll report everything to the agency and hope they can permanently end their collaboration with this business, because this kind of mentality is the bane of this country. Thank God, I have messages and phone calls that testify to what I'm describing, and I'm sorry to say it, but only people who come from worse and more desperate living conditions can accept this kind of bullying. You deserve the perpetually empty place. Never again.

18/05/2026: Terrible welcome and disappointing service. An experience I wouldn't recommend: there are many other more pleasant places in Rome, where quality and hospitality truly make guests feel welcome.

05/05/2026: A very well-kept restaurant offering traditional Roman pizza and delicious desserts. I gave it 4 stars for the atmosphere because I think it's a bit dark. I highly recommend it.

13/05/2026: Excellent pizza, very friendly staff, and excellent service. It's become our go-to pizzeria, and we go there almost every Saturday night. In the summer, you can sit outside, right in the town hall square. From there, weather permitting, you can even see the sea.

12/05/2025: Negli anni ci sono stata più volte e mi è sempre piaciuto, ieri sono rimasta molto delusa. Servizio totalmente disorganizzato: i camerieri che non sapevano dove portare i piatti, il vino l’abbiamo dovuto chiedere 3 volte e dopo aver chiesto di metterlo in ghiaccio non è stato fatto. Abbiamo preso i primi di pesce che erano un lago di olio all’aglio e basta (allego foto di quelli che dovevano essere spaghetti con vongole). Mi dispiace molto, ma è un grande no.

12/05/2025: Siamo venuti in questo ristorante per cena. Già all' entrata ci siamo trovati molto bene, il posto è luminoso e molto accogliente. Gli ordini sono arrivati e subito e nonostante abbiamo ordinato 5 piatti diversi, ce li hanno portati tutti insieme. I camerieri sono molto gentili e il cibo è molto buono. Consiglio.
