06/01/2025: We were 2 adults and 1 little girl for dinner. We were welcomed to a table on the mezzanine with warm bread and top-quality oil. We took a first for me and a second for my partner. The spaghetti alla guitar with prawns and truffle was exquisite. I tried the second course, i.e. pork cheek with potato puree and carrot and ginger puree with very tender meat, perfectly cooked. Aglianico del Vulture. The presentation, cooking, quality, selected raw materials were the expression of a chef worthy of the name.

06/01/2025: Excellent experience, we tasted typical local and abundant dishes. Right quality-price ratio and correct waiting times. I recommend it when returning from a walk among the stones as the place is located in the area.

06/01/2025: We went to the Van Gogh pizzeria during our trip to Matera. We were looking for a place in the center and we came across this place where we could taste their pizzas, excellent in terms of dough and ingredients used. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the service is fast despite so many people in the room.

Externally you can easily find parking spaces for cars and motorbikes. Conclusion: it would be great to find the availability of a tourist menu, it is recommended to everyone.

09/11/2024: In a characteristic village in the province of Matera, outside the most well-known tourist routes, Cirigliano, there is this beautiful place, where the local stone and the rustic environment reign supreme. Welcomed as one does with a relative in the family, we ordered a varied appetizer of local specialties, where the pork is served in different ways: one of them the egg cooked with sausage with a cascade of paprika covering. Two samples of first course, one with cavatelli, bran peppers and fried breadcrumbs and the other with excellent fresh pasta tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Roasted lamb and sausage cooked directly over hot coals in plain sight. Local wine and bitters to complete lunch. The price? Absolutely convenient. To return.

03/11/2024: Fantastic discovery to say the least! We were in the village for a short stay, fantastic welcome, everyone was super kind and friendly, food beyond expectations! Small tip, try all the starters, they are exceptional, the first course with crusco pepper is delicious. If we are passing through or in the surrounding area, Il Caminetto will be our fixed stop!
