28/02/2026: For me, one of the three best restaurants in all of Irpinia. Aside from the excellent menu (the pomegranate with pork capocollo is brilliant, and the arancini are top-notch), "La Pignata" has what many restaurants in this region lack. They want to be a bit more sophisticated (I'm obviously not talking about traditional, popular osterias), but they don't know how to make a living (they don't understand the rules of restaurant culture). Here, however, it's there: kindness when making a reservation, impeccable service, with discreet courtesy and a sommelier in the dining room (many in Italy and around the world know Irpinia only for its wines, and it would be wise to ensure they find a respectable sommelier when they enter a restaurant), and the entire "liturgy" that introduces and concludes the menu, from the chef's welcome to the pre-dessert to the small pastries. Plus, it offers a quality/price ratio that's hard to find in more renowned tourist destinations. Moreover, the restaurant is right below the Norman castle and the municipal villa. Worth a trip or a detour.

30/12/2025: Although it's located on a busy street, the restaurant has a relaxing, homey atmosphere. We arrived around 6:00 PM, so we were the first ones there. The staff kindly explained the menu to us, and since we were looking for seafood, we ordered octopus salad, shrimp and mussels pasta with zucchini cream sauce, sautéed cod and potatoes, tomato bruschetta, and lemon cake for dessert. We were so satisfied that it was a little overwhelming for two people! However, it was a bit disappointing that the appetizer, pasta, and fish all came out together. I wish I had tried the appetizer first. Another table ordered calzone, so maybe calzone is a specialty. Thank you for the meal.

Stefano, the other owner and creator of these delicious pizzas, always had something new for his customers to try. You can tell there's a lot of passion and research behind the dishes, with always high-quality, homemade ingredients. Highly recommended!

12/02/2026: I went for dinner with my partner and sister. The place was super cute and welcoming... We got our table right away. The waitresses are nice and friendly and explain the dishes well... My squid ink pizza with cod was amazing... The simple capricciosa was also very good... I highly recommend the fried pizza with tomato and mozzarella... the bill was reasonable. I'll definitely be back. It's a real miracle to find a pizzeria with such high quality. 🥰🥰🥰

16/02/2026: A fantastic stop on the way from Florence to Rome. Osteria del Gusto, in San Giovanni, has delicious food and incredibly friendly service, especially Rafi, who took excellent care of us. We went with three children, and everything was so easy. The linguine all'imperiale is spectacular, some of the best I've ever had. The spaghetti carbonara and tortellini al pesto are also very good, and the artichokes and fried fish are delicious as starters. It's right in the town center and easily accessible from the Autostrada del Sole. Excellent value for money and top-notch service. Highly recommended.

07/01/2026: Went tonight to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday... Nice, kind, and professional lady... all fish, excellent food, but also two starters that were amazing in terms of quality and quantity... all at a great price... I will definitely be back and I recommend it to all of you too...

22/02/2026: A great local pizzeria for those craving a quick pizza. A wide range of dishes with very original ingredients. The dough is perfectly thin, and the amount of ingredients is balanced. The interior is small, but it has a very atmospheric feel. The wait is standard, and the prices are perfectly proportioned. Edit: After two years, still excellent!

05/11/2025: It’s really worth the journey. Great tasting pizza. We tried four different pizzas and they were all fantastic, made with the best ingredients on an absolutely flavorful and crispy base. We tried their Tiramisu for dessert. Not recommended at all. Just have the pizza! Also make sure to book in advance.

28/02/2026: For me, La Lampara is one of the best seafood restaurants in Civitanova. Definitely the best value for money. The freshest ingredients, cooked with simplicity and skill. Impeccable service. Located in a quiet area facing the beautiful beach on the northern seafront. We'll be back again and again. Highly recommended.
