20/10/2025: Yesterday, October 19, we went to this quaint restaurant for lunch. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food excellent, and the staff very kind and professional. The homemade pasta is sublime, as are the desserts, even the homemade ones. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a day surrounded by chestnut trees and to anyone who wants to enjoy the authentic flavors of yesteryear, featuring all kinds of game. We'll definitely be back.

The whole setting was also excellent: the welcome bruschetta on homemade charcoal-baked turmeric bread, the food, the amazing desserts, and—last but not least!—the owners' extreme kindness, courtesy, and friendliness. They made us feel right at home. And what's better than eating a delicious dish when you feel right at home?!? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

09/11/2025: DON’T COME HERE! The Food sucks!!! I got the spaghetti and meatballs and was very salty and meatball wasn’t fresh. It’s not even an Italian thing. They charge $4 euro for water and $2 a person for cover charge, ripped off!!!

If you've never tried Istanbul pizza kebab in Cuveglio, you should try it right away. It's huge, overflowing with top-quality meat, and the dough is cooked to perfection. A true delight for the palate, probably the best in the area. The kebab is always fresh, the meat is flavorful, and the portions are decidedly generous. The bread is heated to perfection, and the ingredients are fresh. The piadina is thin and crispy, and the spicy sauce has just the right kick. I have to give an honorable mention to their pizza kebab: if you've never tried Istanbul pizza kebab, you should try it right away. It's huge, overflowing with top-quality meat, and the dough is cooked to perfection. A true delight for the palate, probably the best in the area. The staff is quick and friendly, the place is spotlessly clean, and the service is super efficient even at peak times. Perfect for a quick dinner or a post-evening treat. Unbeatable value. A must-see in Valcuvia! If you're passing through Cuveglio and don't stop by Istanbul, you're missing out on a piece of the valley's history. Awesome!

11/03/2026: Shambò is a pizzeria I've been wanting to try for a while because I'd heard so much about it! I'm usually very critical of pizza dough because it often makes me indigestible, makes me feel bloated, and sleeps poorly. I watched the pizzas pass by and knew from the look of it that I wouldn't have any problems here. In fact, the pizza was cooked to perfection, and I didn't even feel thirsty all night! The atmosphere inside is very welcoming; even from the outside, you'll want to go in because of the well-lit terrace and the greenery all around. In the summer, it's definitely pleasant to sit outside; the street is quite quiet. The place isn't big, but the tables are well-spaced. And everything is very clean and tidy. Raji is the owner, a handsome Indian guy who works in the kitchen but often comes out to check on everything. He's always smiling, and even though we were the last customers and the place was closing, he asked if he could offer us some Nutella pizza... which, of course, they didn't refuse! Excellent service. Delicious food. Romantic atmosphere. I recommend it to everyone!
