12/04/2026: Service was so slow that we left after waiting for over 20 minutes just to be able to place our order. Can’t judge the food.

05/01/2026: Visited for beers and coffee. Beautiful location, luvly inside area, again beautiful views. Area worth a visit. We walked up to the Mottarone go carting track, so was ideal place to visit afterwards. :) :)

04/01/2026: Beautiful place, very friendly staff, breathtaking view. The only flaw is the bedroom: the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows a bit hard, and there was no TV in the room. After dinner at 8 PM, if you don't bring a laptop or even a board game, time will stand still. If they fixed a few things in the rooms, it would be truly perfect.

13/12/2025: I went for lunch with a friend and we had a great time. The fried food was excellent and the service was very attentive and friendly.

28/11/2025: we just had a wonderful lunch at GranoDuro thanks to the amazing chef and our wonderful server David. We were very hungry after a long hike and ordered PARMIGIANA MELANZANE 13,00 1 PATATINE FRITTE 6,00 1 PIZZA SALSICCIA FRIARTELLI 12,00 1 ACQUA 1/2 L NATURELLE 2,00 1 VINO CASA ROSSO 1/2 L 7,00 Everything is was perfect! 04/04/2026: Simple and effective for a good breakfast

02/04/2026: I was at the restaurant. Upon entering, I asked if I could eat and they said yes. I asked for a turkey salad, like Caesar salad, and they said, "Okay." Okay. After 10 minutes, the very kind waitress arrives, followed by a woman in her 50s. She says, "We have a salad like the one the woman at the table next to her is eating." I ask her, "If you put turkey in and don't put corn, okay?" The answer is like, "We don't put corn in." I mean, if you don't have what I order, tell me it's sold out, and maybe I'll choose something else. To finish, I order the salad offered. It comes without turkey, with an orange Zola and another cold one. I immediately made a mistake in the sum, but I was hungry, so I paid and left. The next evening, I went to another restaurant, everything was fine. It's a shame, the place is nice but poorly managed. I'll start by saying that the waitress is very kind, but the 50-year-old is a little less so. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.

18/04/2026: Lastresa was a great find, it’s situated on one of the back streets of Stresa and has a more relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was sweet and professional. We were fortunate to be seated without reservations as we were at the door when they opened, but reservations are adviced in this busy, charming, resort town. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant in Stresa, Italy!

07/04/2026: From the outside, it looks very inviting. Friendly, but very slow service. The meat platter was ridiculously cheap at €16, with only two paper-thin slices of each of three different meats (ordered as an appetizer in case of a long wait, but even that took ages). So, if there are three of you, you won't even notice the thinness of the platter. The breaks between dishes were incredibly long, and the staff were even walking between the tables – not a good impression and certainly not conducive to a pleasant atmosphere. The service was also inattentive – spaghetti was brought without a spoon, salad without dressing, and oil only after we asked. The cheeks with polenta were so tiny you had to search for them on a plate that looked like something you'd find in a school cafeteria, and there was a single lamb's lettuce leaf as a garnish – quite embarrassing. In short: overpriced, nothing special. I'd rather go to a pizzeria for takeout. What a shame.

09/03/2026: We stayed for one night. That's fine. The hotel is located right in the middle of the small town, very close to the lake. That's perfect. The hotel is a bit dated, but the service is extremely friendly. Breakfast consists of cake. If you ask nicely, they'll also give you bread. The coffee is excellent. There's no elevator, so it's difficult for older people.

04/11/2025: Centrally located hotel, very close to the lake and within walking distance of the station for those arriving by train. Unfortunately, the bed cover in the room we were assigned was falling off and the mattress cover was missing. The bathroom had no bidet, which was another major drawback. When we requested a replacement room, we were unfortunately told they were fully booked. I recommend including photos of rooms like the one we were assigned on Booking.com and also include the option of bathrooms without bidets. The included breakfast was pleasant and served at the table, not a buffet, but there was a decent selection.

23/03/2026: The two of us went for lunch, enjoying a meal overlooking the lake. A pleasant experience, the staff were friendly, and the food was tasty. They offer a variety of menu options at very affordable prices. Recommended.

11/10/2025: The coffee wasn't an original Italian sieve-type machine, but capsules. The focaccia was very lightly topped with salami and cheese. Prices are okay. The service was irritated and unfriendly.

11/10/2025: We found the focaccia rather dry. There were hardly any toppings, barely any cheese. There were signs saying "Original Italian Coffee" and it looked like a portafilter machine. They use capsules. It was all fake. We also found the lady at the counter rather unfriendly. She had a bored expression and was chewing gum in an annoyed manner.

13/04/2026: the pizza was frozen and inedible, I went in convinced by a lady outside and that the pizzas and other dishes were invited but in reality it turned out to be the complete opposite

01/05/2026: I had lunch, and as soon as I entered, the atmosphere was gloomy. I had an appetizer, a main course, dessert, and coffee. The appetizer consisted of a platter of local cured meats that actually looked like they'd been bought at the supermarket. The main course was a slice of Fassona beef that was actually difficult to cut and full of sinew; the side dish was just roast potatoes that tasted of sweet vanilla. The dessert was an apple tarte tatin, but I found green pieces of mold inside. Obviously, I didn't eat it and pointed it out to the manager, who simply replied, "Excuse me." My husband and I were served coffee with two packets of sugar, one of which was already opened.
