GranoDuro In Stresa

Historic restaurant in Stresa. The pizza is good, as are the classic dishes they serve. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, considering it's not located in Stresa's main square.

I wanted to share one of my favorite gastronomic experiences in Stresa. I went to GRANODURO with a group of friends, one of the best restaurants in the area. I recommend it to everyone. The pizza is truly delicious, soft, and tasty, with top-quality, high-end ingredients.

We went here on a Sunday night (21/06/26) the place wasn't rammed , but a few people in (it was also quite early) . We shared a Caprese salad to start. Followed by the Fritto Misto for me and my wife had the Pork Shank . The food was excellent, the pork was "so tender you could eat it with a spoon" according to my OH and the seafood was delicious and a big portion , we ordered a side of the Patate mediterranea so that we had some carbs , with all the protein , but but barely ate half the portion between us. The total bill ,including a bottle of water ,Campari Soda and 0.5L of the (excellent) house Red wine was €76 .

Excellent pizzeria/restaurant. The staff is always very friendly.

Hidden gem on the outskirts of Stresa. Great for anyone who enjoys honest, no-nonsense Italian cuisine

If you walk off busy tourist main street a bit, you find this restaurant. Waiter is very friendly, food is great, and price is good.

We received a very warm welcome and were seated in an outdoor courtyard, which was much appreciated as it was very hot. We chose the paccheri alla genovese, cooked al dente, perhaps a touch too much, but with a distinctly homemade taste, and a steak tartare with caramelized onions and burrata, which was replaced with a mixed salad. The tartare could perhaps have used a little more depth of seasoning. The glass of Chardonnay was very pleasant.
