21/08/2026: Amazing café with fantastic mango ice cream! Break Café was our last stop on Isola Bella and a real find. It's a bit hidden away in a small side street, up the stairs, but it's definitely worth the trip! The ice cream was absolutely delicious – the mango ice cream, in particular, was incredibly refreshing. Communication was also a breeze: even with just a few words of Italian, ordering from the friendly staff member behind the counter was no problem. A perfect end to our island getaway – highly recommended if you're looking for an icy treat.

17/08/2026: Bagged salad and carrots for the Ricca and sea bream were too small a portion. Avoid it!

11/08/2026: If you have two hours to spare while you wait for a bruschetta, this is the perfect place. Otherwise, move along.

13/08/2026: Excellent selection of cocktails and drinks at various prices, great aperitif! The staff is friendly! There's a selection of both savory and sweet food. Excellent!

08/08/2026: The aperitif was ruined by the owner who "manages" his team during service... his behavior was awful and inappropriate. Luckily, as a customer, I didn't behave the same way towards him... although I regret it now!

01/06/2026: The name is spot on, the portions are generous, and the place is beautiful. As soon as we arrived, they asked us if we wanted to eat inside or outside. We decided outside because it was a lovely, warm evening with a breeze. Within a minute, our food was ready, so it was perfect. Everything was delicious! I certainly wasn't expecting a wedding tablecloth, and Al Rustico lived up to all my expectations! Recommended if you want good food in a family atmosphere.

24/05/2026: A wonderfully authentic restaurant, very good food and wines, and warm, welcoming owners. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed a special moment.

You deliciously fed three hungry Ukrainian women after a busy day. 😊 But even great hunger did not prevent us from appreciating the sophistication, quality and wonderful taste of pasta and pizza. Everything was fresh, fragrant and prepared with soul. Special thanks for the friendly service and cozy atmosphere. We would be happy to come back here again! We recommend it to everyone who will be in Stresa! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

07/08/2026: The service was very slow and poor, and they overcharged us on the bill. Don't recommend! Reply to owner: First of all, we were a group of 15 people and we had a reservation in advance. The issue was not that the food took time to be freshly prepared — we fully understand and appreciate that. The problem was the service itself. Some of the drinks took more than 20 minutes to arrive, taking our orders was unnecessarily slow, and unfortunately, the attitude of the staff was far from friendly or welcoming. None of these issues have anything to do with the fact that the food is freshly cooked. Regarding the tip: had we received good, attentive and polite service, we would have been more than happy to leave one. A tip is a recognition of good service, not something that should be expected regardless of the experience. We simply shared our experience as customers, and unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Considering our bill came out to 750 euros and the restaurant was empty, you could have easily served the cake free of charge

03/06/2026: Among the plethora of restaurants on the island, one stands out for its tranquility, service, and quality food. It's located on the opposite shore from the docks where the boats dock. You'll find an orderly atmosphere with a spectacular view of the lake. The staff is attentive and meticulous. A special mention goes to Cinzia, who quickly arranged for me to have a table even though I didn't have a reservation. Highly recommended!

27/05/2026: Unfortunately, it ended up being very expensive with cover charge and surcharge; the food was rather quick and not particularly tasty.

07/08/2026: You are ushered in with a fast Italian attitude, but the service isn't really friendly; everything is fast, no idea what it is, we are tourists after all.

06/08/2026: Food is reasonable but the staff is terrible! Very unfriendly and uninterested. Boss is shouting the whole evening to his staff at the other and of terrace. Food was not arriving at the same time at the table, had to ask if we could get the last plate. A no go in Stresa!

22/08/2026: What a lucky find! An unpretentious restaurant with a rooftop terrace overlooking the lake. Quiet and with excellent service.

17/08/2026: Nice place for dinner opposite Isola Bella, if you avoid the covered terrace which is very noisy. The waiter was friendly, but I'm giving it one star because the manager blatantly lies to favor certain customers. I won't be going back. The food was decent.
