03/01/2026: Enchanting place, very good value for money, staff attentive to customer needs, always generous portions, we had lunch there on New Year's Eve, what can I say? Amazing, every now and then we don't miss the opportunity to go for lunch there, compliments to everyone.

03/01/2026: First time at a farmhouse. Enchanting place, fantastic staff, especially Manu, Leo, Stefano, and especially the great Lorenzo 💪. The food is very, very good, and congratulations to everyone!

23/10/2025: Most bizarre place. I tend not to give negative reviews so will give a short but, in my view, fair assessment. The rooms are clean but that’s about it. The location is uphill and not very easy to find. The rooms are very basic and decor is highly questionable. Painted tiles on the floor and metal doors don’t add to the warmth of the place. We didn’t feel at ease there. Seems like a place from a horror movie, if I am honest (it may just us). The host was alright but not too friendly, at least to us. We had dinner there and the menu was surprisingly expensive for what you get. I didn’t realise it was a bit of a fine dining (but for that the place needs to work on ambience and at least have tablecloths) but the portions were quite tiny. Breakfast was alright but again not hing to fancy (not a single vegetable?)… I wish them well but won’t be returning for sure.

12/10/2025: Wonderful place! We chose it for our wedding. The cuisine is delicious, carefully crafted, and original. The rooms are perfect for an overnight stay. Nature, tranquility, and a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. Ivan organized everything perfectly.

06/12/2025: Visited with a group of friends a few weeks ago for lunch in a deserted Stresa. Everything was excellent: the dishes, the platter, and the wine. The girls were super friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

29/11/2025: A lovely wine shop with a wide selection of wines and excellent platters. There were four of us, and we ordered a half-meter and had a nice selection of carefully selected, high-quality products. Then we ordered the specials of the day: two polenta and Zola and two chestnut and Zola gnocchi, and everything was delicious. Thanks to the owner (I think) who also recommended a pastry shop for margheritine. A recommended place if you're in Stresa and looking for something traditional and different from the usual restaurants.

04/01/2026: Hello, and here we are again on the road 😎 As you all know by now, my reviews are sincere and, above all, real. Today we chose to have lunch at the Lago Maggiore pizzeria restaurant, where we'd already had lunch a year earlier and found excellent service, remembering the lovely experience. I opted for a Diavola pizza, while my companion had a mushroom risotto. The food was good, the pizza a little salty, but overall good. Afterwards, we ordered two coffees, and here, unfortunately, is a sore point. As we were finishing our coffees, the waiter came to the table with the bill in hand, saying we had to leave because there were other people waiting to be seated. I'd like to point out that it generally takes an occupied table an hour to an hour and a half to eat. Perhaps you could relax for those 10-15 minutes and not be kicked out after 35 minutes. Half the room was practically empty. Furthermore, upon arrival, it would have been appropriate to inform you that the table had to be vacated within thirty minutes. I don't feel like not recommending this restaurant, but before you go, make sure you have enough time to eat to avoid having your food stick in your stomach (like what happened to us). 06/01/2026: Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

05/01/2026: My husband, our dog, and I had lunch here yesterday. Everyone was very kind and answered all my questions. The risotto alla Borromeo is highly recommended. We'll be back.

03/10/2025: A truly beautiful location right on the lake. We had a Caesar salad and a club sandwich, everything was perfect and plentiful, fresh, and delicious. My Vono was also perfect; everything was perfect! We thought the price/performance ratio was absolutely excellent! The service was very friendly.

21/11/2025: Thank you to the chef and the service, which were impeccable. We were fortunate enough this evening to enjoy marinated sashimi, lobster dumplings, perfectly cooked fish, and tender squid with katsuobushi. Everything was truly delicious. A wonderful discovery.

28/10/2025: We were there for lunch with friends. The location is superb: a lovely garden near the lake with vines and a stunning view. The food was very good: shout out to the risotto. The service was perfect: kind and attentive. The price was high but not overpriced.

02/01/2026: Excellent seafood restaurant in an authentic setting. Top-quality ingredients: the mixed antipasto of lake fillets (5 different selections) is the perfect way to savor the local flavors; you can taste that it's prepared and marinated in-house. The tagliolini with fish ragù is a must-try. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.

06/01/2026: We returned to the Osteria Mercato today, welcomed as always with kindness by Chef Alessandro and his staff. The dishes were plated like "all-rounders," good and high-quality. The coffee was also very good, which is not a given in restaurants. Congratulations.

11/10/2025: The coffee wasn't an original Italian sieve-type machine, but capsules. The focaccia was very lightly topped with salami and cheese. Prices are okay. The service was irritated and unfriendly.

11/10/2025: We found the focaccia rather dry. There were hardly any toppings, barely any cheese. There were signs saying "Original Italian Coffee" and it looked like a portafilter machine. They use capsules. It was all fake. We also found the lady at the counter rather unfriendly. She had a bored expression and was chewing gum in an annoyed manner.
