08/11/2025: Return to the 1970s. To the kitchen as it was before the world went crazy. To find water already at the table and no sticker on the door inviting you in because Gambero Rosso or the Michelin star rating says so… To note with pleasure that everyone in the dining room knows each other, that the dogs come in and sit silently under the table, that the house wine comes from large green bottles that taste so much of the distant past and leave your tongue a little black, to browse a menu with three first courses and three second courses and where on the dessert page you'll find "dessert of the day"…and to eat well and feel at home even if you're a pilgrim on the Via Francigena. Thank you for the excellent dinner and for the sensations you gave me. Thank you

24/10/2025: The most wonderful experience and the best food. We ordered the set menu for two. The absolute highlight: the braised roast beef. It melts like butter in your mouth. Bravo! Bravissimo!

30/07/2025: A Corner of Sicily in the Heart of Ivrea: An Experience That Warms the Soul This afternoon, as the summer sun caresses the streets of Ivrea, a city famous not only for its enchanting historic Carnival, dating back to 1808, but also for the epic Battle of the Oranges, my husband and I are strolling hand in hand along Corso Vercelli. In these frenetic times, carving out a moment of pure carefree relaxation is a rare luxury, and in one of these precious moments, we stumble upon a little magic at number 10. Red and eager for a break, our attention is captured by an inviting wooden totem pole outside a delightful café. The words "Sicilian Granita" and "other delights" resonate like a sweet call, a whisper of home that immediately rekindles memories of our Sicilian roots. Crossing the threshold is like being immediately enveloped in the air and scent of home. The medium-sized and beautifully airy space welcomes guests with neatly arranged tables, suggesting a palpable care and attention to detail. A heart-warming touch is the presence of "La Sentinella," the local newspaper, which, unlike many other establishments, is prominently displayed, a silent witness to the countless hands and thoughts of passing travelers. Despite the constant comings and goings of people, the place stands out for its cleanliness and order, an unmistakable sign of careful management. This tobacconist, which feels family-run, is clearly a popular destination. The counter, a feast of visual delights, is a richly stocked display case, with still-inviting-looking croissants and, the crowning glory, a small section dedicated to gelato and the beloved granitas. But the real added value of our experience is Lorenzo, the young counter attendant. From the first moment, his genuine smile and the professionalism and kindness with which he welcomed us deeply touched us. In an era where passion for one's work sometimes seems exceptional, Lorenzo embodies dedication and love for what he does, encouraging us not only to stop by for a purchase, but also to exchange words and a sincere smile. On his recommendation, in addition to granita and gelato, we opted for the famous "Brioches con il Tuppo," a true symbol of our region. Lorenzo explained the option of tasting "Bigusto" granitas and gelato, demonstrating his attentiveness and knowledge of the products offered. As we sat down at our table, we were soon served not the usual paper cups, but two delicious glass cups, where our Sicilian dreams reign supreme, accompanied by two small glasses of water and our brioche. Topping it all off was his exquisite courtesy. When you do your job with passion and dedication, you've already won. We also notice Lorenzo speaking in English with a tourist, a significant detail for a bar in the city center, testifying to his expertise and attention to his international clientele. In the tobacco area, we glimpse a kind and smiling young woman, whom we assume is the owner, to whom Lorenzo turns to ask permission to take photos. Today is an exceptionally positive experience, a little gem worth treasured. I assure you, this bar exudes a magical, homely atmosphere, capable of warming the heart even on the darkest days. It's a place where professionalism meets passion, and where every detail, from Lorenzo's smile to the choice of glass cups, contributes to creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

08/09/2025: Great potential, but unfortunately the place is run by inexperienced people, and the service is slow and inconsistent. The other places in the center are also neglected and have a sense of abandonment, likely due to the area's crime problem.

09/10/2025: I just had a coffee and sat outside. I had time to read a bit. The atmosphere was delightful and quiet, and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. They had some lovely pastries on display, but alas, my diet...

02/09/2025: Superb establishment. We have 1 aperitif, systematically served with 1 plate of appetizers, the glass of wine being 6€. Then, we decide to have dinner: Piedmontese beef slices (280/300 g) with Gorgonzola cream on a bed of arugula, served with eggplant and peppers baked with capers, olives, oregano and fries* for 19.00 € ... plentiful and delicious. Not to mention, the lounge bar-style musical atmosphere ... what more can I say, almost perfect with prices in the right range. Go there with your eyes closed.

30/11/2025: We had a wonderful visit to Santuzzi in Ivrea. Chef and owner Stefano is a fantastic host who creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that transports you straight to Sicily. The food is very authentic and incredibly tasty, with every dish prepared with great care and passion. We will definitely return and highly recommend a visit.

25/10/2025: Great warm feeling in the dining room, service could be more efficient specially on busy nights and the food has a lack of seasoning on certain dishes.

12/09/2025: A real surprise! The owners were extremely courteous, kind, and professional. The piadina was truly delicious. A wide selection of piadinas. Superlative Viennese coffee. Excellent quality ingredients. A very welcoming atmosphere. And... something very rare nowadays: beautiful jazz music in the background. We'll definitely be back.

13/08/2025: What a wonderful experience. The place was so clean, both inside and out. I had a piadina with grilled vegetables and brie. Delicious, rich, with a light, whole-wheat dough. It was generously filled. Miss Sofia presented me with a very professional and intelligent presentation of the range of drinks to pair with the piadina. She carefully selected the most evocative and appropriate adjectives for the taste. I chose "Hugo." Fresh. Spicy. It transported me from the warmth of the city to the Alpine clearings. But the "gem" was watching the owner Laura prepare cream and hazelnut coffee for other customers. The artist's concentrated expression as she forges the substance. The place houses a spectacular Coffee Museum, with a tiny coffee maker that produces a single drop of coffee. Excellent value for money. Not a lunch break, but a treat. A high-quality experiential moment, with great attention to detail, where you realize you're not just a "customer" but a special person. THANK YOU
