Monastero In Ivrea

At Caffetteria Il Monastero, you'll find a wide selection of croissants, cakes, and savory pastries. The atmosphere is lovely, with pleasant music and decorations that change over time. The staff is friendly. I always order the same thing because I've fallen in love with it: a cappuccino with just a little coffee, because it's too bitter for my taste. The "buondì" is also excellent, simple but truly delicious. The tables outside along the river are also lovely; it's truly delightful to have breakfast on a beautiful sunny day.

It's a real shame that they replaced the red umbrellas, which are aesthetically very beautiful and a truly original idea, with anonymous blue awnings... 😔

I went to this place for a quick brioche, delicious, freshly filled, and soft as a cloud. The girl was also really kind. The display cases were packed with all kinds of food, even for lunch, and it's really hard to find places that stocked so well these days.

I've had lunch here a few times. The service is inconsistent, depending on the fact that the staff I've encountered isn't always the same. Good food, average prices, if we exclude the American coffee... 2 euros... it usually costs the same as a regular coffee, but often 10 or 20 cents more, but I almost never find it more than a cappuccino... 😀
