30/11/2025: This is a special place, found by chance; I kept returning throughout my short stay in Galliate. It's unusual for someone coming from a big city; there's an old-fashioned atmosphere. Once upon a time, you'd seek out the excellent trucker trattorias just outside the city center, and this one has something similar, even though it's right in the center: simple home cooking at rock-bottom prices and a friendly couple running it. Unlike the local competition, where you pay for the set menu regardless of what you order, here, if you only eat a first course and side dish (I don't eat meat), you only pay for that. The Torino flag behind the counter is a plus.

22/02/2026: "You can tell a good day from your order..." We arrived at 12:20, with a reservation, when the restaurant wasn't yet full. The dish we ordered was good and well-prepared, with no complaints about the quality. However, the service organization left a bit to be desired. Every request made to the waiters had to be met with the usual "yes, just a minute, the lady will arrive," resulting in a delay. The lady—who I presume was the owner and in charge of taking orders—seemed to be the sole decision-maker, creating inevitable delays. There was also a sense of resignation on the part of the waiters, who were often called directly by customers to place their orders, only to be promptly answered with the same phrase: "the lady will arrive." This made the service unsatisfactory and less efficient than one might expect. For two main courses, a glass of red wine each, and a coffee, the total cost was around €70. Overall, the dish was good, but the organization, timing, and value for money could definitely be improved. We're still waiting for our coffee, we're waiting for "the lady," we'll let you know... 😑

22/01/2026: A traditional restaurant offering lake fish specialties, just a few meters from Arona's lakefront. The atmosphere and decor are rustic yet elegant, and the food is delicious and well-prepared. The flavor of lake fish may not be for everyone, but if you appreciate it, or are curious and just want to try it, this restaurant is for you. Recommended.

23/11/2025: An absolutely top-notch horseback riding experience in the beautiful hills of Lake Orta. The ride was spectacular, made unforgettable by the quality of the service. The instructor is professional, knowledgeable, and very approachable; she guided us with skill and warmth. The hospitality was evident throughout the facility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an excellent equestrian experience in a beautiful natural setting.

29/10/2025: I went to this place for the first time, it's small and the staff are very kind and polite, I had a brioche and a cappuccino, the milk in the cappuccino was too hot, everything else was ok, the place is located in the centre

28/09/2025: A very family-friendly atmosphere, where on Sunday lunchtime (and really anytime) it's a pleasure to go with your family and where customers are pampered throughout. The hardest part is deciding what to eat, because every dish is cooked to perfection, from the pizza (in a wood-fired oven) to the seafood appetizers (oh, the peppered mussels are divine), to the meat and fish main courses. I recommend the fried calamari or the calamari steak. The highlight is the final indulgence with their liqueurs (licorice, banana, pistachio, melon, etc.).

29/01/2026: I found a piece of iron and I let you know and you think it's a game it's not safe to eat anymore I don't even think I'll order from this place anymore because if you eat an iron you can die it's not a game it's not safe to eat

09/01/2026: I just left the restaurant, the welcome was as cold as ice. There were four of us plus three small, very good dogs. The girl who took our order made a disgusted face as soon as she saw me walk in with my dog. My dog, after my friends with their dogs, made a disgusted face. Plus, "maybe the owner" put us at a table near the door, freezing cold. I also politely asked the girl for more meat on the pizza, but there were just a few pieces here and there. I'm sorry, but it will be the first and last time I pay for such a horrible meal. I recommend the two kebabs in Oleggio.

29/11/2025: It's our favorite place for breakfast and aperitivo. The staff is always friendly and smiling, which is helpful for those of us who have family and friends far away. We've discovered Luca's extreme kindness, a discreet and attentive young man. His popcorn with a "secret" ingredient is unparalleled in its deliciousness, and the genius of Luca's idea is worthy of our attention. Kudos to the entire staff. Highly recommended.
