That branch of Lake Cono... in Arona, on Lake Maggiore, right on the promenade with a beautiful view is this restaurant, housed in a historic building. Friendly and welcoming, the kitchen is open to the public, and the food is excellent (especially the desserts, in my opinion).

The food was acceptable, unfortunately a bit thrown on the plate without love, endless wait times.... with a reservation we sat down at 1 pm, for a starter and a main course that left the restaurant practically at 3 pm.... Part 2 of the review: since the restaurateur responded to my review rather rudely, and instead of taking my comment about the timing as a suggestion to improve the service, given that all the diners were complaining that day, he was only able to tell them to go eat at a service station, I would like to point out that perhaps I am used to restaurants of a much higher standard, not touristy, where ultimately the customer doesn't matter because today I am there and tomorrow 100 others are passing through, and in those restaurants where I am used to going, the waiting and kitchen staff are adequate for the number of customers. Ultimately, it was one of your staff who answered my question about the timing like this: "We only have one grill in the kitchen, and if, like you, you've brought stuff to grill, you'll have to wait." Dear Owner, there are two options: either buy another grill or reduce the number of seats. And since you're also making fun of a TV show, I suggest you participate in one of these, Kitchen Nightmares, so maybe Cannavacciuolo can reorganize your kitchen. Best regards

The restaurant is full of fancy items, but it's a great place to be, and I really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The menu is inviting and varied, and the food is tasty. I recommend it.

We ate fish. Except for the mussels, which were nonexistent. Everything else was average, nothing out of the ordinary. The service needs to be reviewed, especially by the order taker.

"You can tell a good day from your order..." We arrived at 12:20, with a reservation, when the restaurant wasn't yet full. The dish we ordered was good and well-prepared, with no complaints about the quality. However, the service organization left a bit to be desired. Every request made to the waiters had to be met with the usual "yes, just a minute, the lady will arrive," resulting in a delay. The lady—who I presume was the owner and in charge of taking orders—seemed to be the sole decision-maker, creating inevitable delays. There was also a sense of resignation on the part of the waiters, who were often called directly by customers to place their orders, only to be promptly answered with the same phrase: "the lady will arrive." This made the service unsatisfactory and less efficient than one might expect. For two main courses, a glass of red wine each, and a coffee, the total cost was around €70. Overall, the dish was good, but the organization, timing, and value for money could definitely be improved. We're still waiting for our coffee, we're waiting for "the lady," we'll let you know... 😑

A traditional restaurant offering lake fish specialties, just a few meters from Arona's lakefront. The atmosphere and decor are rustic yet elegant, and the food is delicious and well-prepared. The flavor of lake fish may not be for everyone, but if you appreciate it, or are curious and just want to try it, this restaurant is for you. Recommended.

As soon as we entered, we loved the restaurant, with its rustic, vintage decor. At the end of the meal, we also loved the food, especially the fried lake fish. From the dining room, you can watch the chefs at work.

Interesting bar for a cocktail or gin. There were three couples. We all ordered gin and grappa, recommended by the young employee with glasses. Five stars for him, who explains everything with great passion.
