05/01/2026: My wife and I had lunch last Saturday at this restaurant, where we've been before. As on other occasions, it was a truly satisfying experience. We opted for two four-course tasting menus, requesting a change to the appetizer, accompanied by a bottle of Roero Arneis from Negro. The amuse bouche alone were worth the trip! Then, the appetizer, which we chose instead of the tomato puree included in the menu, was an excellent "Hokkaido scallop, kiwi, green apple, and avocado." This complex dish successfully balanced the various flavors, although, based on personal taste, we expected the scallop to dominate, which instead was lost. The first course was the "24-month-aged Parmigiano buttons, clams, and mint consommé": what can we say other than that this will be one of the dishes we'll remember for a long time? A dish that reveals meticulous attention to detail: exceptional veal and mint consommé. On the palate, the button accompanied by clams, and the consommé is perfect in the balance of such diverse flavors, all perfectly balanced. A dish you wish would never end, and it almost moved me. For the main course, "Amberjack, garden zucchini, and Livorno-style caciucco," featuring amberjack perfectly grilled, accompanied by a bisque that recalls the flavors of the caciucco, and various versions of zucchini from their garden. The pre-dessert was excellent: chopped strawberries marinated in three different vinegars, placed on a sort of basil cream and covered with sheep's milk ricotta topped with tomato powder, all accompanied by a very unique and delicious juice, the fruit of a long preparation. Truly delicious, as was the dessert, "Yuzu curd and exotic fruits," a truly exquisite creation. The small pastries accompanying the coffees (four ingenious reinterpretations of four desserts, including bonet, pavlova, and lollypop) were the perfect complement to a journey that allowed us to reach the end without feeling weighed down. A special mention goes to the young man who supervised us, who we can reasonably expect to have a bright future in the often-underestimated art of service. As for the cuisine, it's not our place to celebrate Chef Musso, but our thanks and best wishes for the future go to the sous chef, who gave us the opportunity to delve deeper into the conception of the dishes and who was interested in our opinions. The tasting menu costs €90, and in my unquestionable opinion, it's worth every penny once you understand the work that goes into these creations. We'll be back again and again ❤️

27/12/2025: Quiet location a few kilometers from the highway from Bologna to Turin. Friendly owners who will happily cook you a delicious meal. Local truffles are available as an option (regional product), and delicious, affordable wines from the Asti region are available.

25/12/2025: Very good food. Excellent location. Excessively long waits between courses. On Christmas Day, a little sparkling wine would have been nice with the panettone course... One more constructive criticism... A centerpiece that releases glitter everywhere, and if you put the bread down, you risk eating it; it's not ideal. Small things that risk ruining an otherwise excellent service.

18/10/2025: I can only leave a positive review. A beautiful room with ancient vaults, and the pizzas on the menu are innovative and creative. Well done 🤗 A choice of different doughs, which I personally found myself using in the black version. Wonderful pizza🫨🫨, and above all, separated into slices with a little bowl of heavenly cream in the center😝. Delicious, including the crust (not necessarily a given; I couldn't eat the crust in other places). Another positive note is that they don't waste the toppings. My wife had a pizza with Robiola d'Alba, and it had all of Alba inside 🤭🤭 adorable. The two little girls had pizza with fries and sausage, and they arrived already cut into slices with a basket of fries in the middle to arrange as desired... so much stuff. Kudos to the owners for their attention to detail in the ambiance and the food. A few extra euros on the bill are definitely worth it for the QUALITY and abundance of ingredients. 🔝🔝🔝 Another shout-out for the niche beers that I've only ever tasted at your place; I wasn't familiar with them before. Try the Alba IPA 75cl, a delight for the palate!! Well done, well done, what quality!

13/01/2026: I used to go there in the 90s for work reasons in the area, I came back and I must say that nothing has changed, a restaurant from other times with an excellent quality/price ratio, excellent and abundant dishes, a big thank you to all of Marcello's family for the welcome. Well done

07/10/2025: Great, very stylish accommodation in an old castle. Delicious food. The hostess, Paola, was super nice and told us a lot about the surrounding area and the origins of the food. Highly recommended. Oh, and in good weather, you can see all the way to the Alps.

07/10/2025: Paola was a fantastic host. She's super nice, not at all pushy. But if you ask her, she'll happily tell you about all the local partners. The room was a dream. The bathroom was very modern, but the room still had an old-world charm. Dinner and breakfast were prepared with so much love. Everything was locally sourced. The pool was wonderful – with a view of the magnificent castle. Paola and her husband are truly lovely people, and you should definitely visit them. A tip: a wine tasting at Maranzana. It was wonderful and very close.

07/12/2025: 🦆 Osteria Oca Giuliva: A Pleasant Stop, But the Bill Leaves Some Questions We recently had lunch at Osteria Oca Giuliva, and the overall experience was decidedly good, despite a small reservation at the end. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal, ideal for a quiet evening. Strengths Service: The staff was attentive, courteous, and quick. We were treated with the right amount of discretion and professionalism. A real plus. Food: The quality of the ingredients and the execution of the dishes were impeccable. We ate very well, appreciating the authentic flavor of the preparations. Wine: The selection of wines offered is top-notch, and the one we chose turned out to be excellent and paired well with our dishes. The Only Downside Everything was perfect until it was time to pay. Despite the deliciousness of our meal, we felt that the balance between the quantity and type of dishes chosen and the final price was slightly unbalanced. In short, for what we ate, we spent a bit more than we expected. In Summary: Osteria Oca Giuliva is a place where you can eat and drink well, with excellent service. If you're willing to overlook a bill that's perhaps a little above average for the offerings, it's a recommended place for lunch or dinner.

07/12/2025: We had dinner and ate well, the mushrooms and fondue were excellent, I was a little less appreciative of the way the meat was cooked but that's okay, it was very plentiful.

09/01/2026: À la carte sushi that stands out for its quality food, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere. It attracts a discerning clientele, far from the usual crowded all-you-can-eat restaurants. Good value, with a much-appreciated discount.

18/09/2025: Excellent gelateria in the city of Asti. Wide selection of gelato, parfaits, and other desserts. Overall, the prices are quite reasonable, not overpriced. I recommend avoiding the afternoon, especially on weekends, as there may be a long line or you might not find a free table.

17/12/2025: I wasn't familiar with this place even though I live near Asti. A lovely, relaxing atmosphere. Soft lighting adds a touch of mystery to their dishes. The food was excellent. The cod was delicious, and the baked pears were truly delicious. Compliments. The owner is truly kind. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back.
