31/05/2026: Very, very BAD. I went with great enthusiasm. I love old trattorias, and I consider them superior to many contemporary restaurants. Unfortunately, this is NOT the case at the Roma restaurant in Grana. The menu is always the same, so I expected a good result; it's incredible to mess up such a limited menu. Appetizers: sautéed artichokes, cold from the fridge, straight from the jar, but the real BAD surprise was the bagna cauda full of anchovy bones. It didn't taste fresh, horrible, the worst I've ever had. The finanziera, although cooked adequately, was ruined by an overpowering vinegar flavor. The mixed fried fish was a nightmare: heavy, mushy, the wrong size, and above all, the liver was not fully cooked, pink inside, unacceptable. Even the carrots on the side were flavorless; the only pleasant thing was the sweet semolina. I won't talk about the service—I know what you'll find in a trattoria—but their complete disinterest in our enjoyment was perhaps a symptom of their awareness of what a miserable experience a diner can have. The prices are low, but for what we ate, it was far too little. Overall, I find such little attention to the cuisine and such little respect for tradition a real disrespect. I advise everyone against going there; there are some good trattorias in the area.

27/05/2026: We've been there a couple of times on a trip into the Monferrato hills and were happy and satisfied with the food and the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend it, especially if you want traditional Piedmontese food. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back 👍

07/06/2026: We've dined at this restaurant many times and it was such a fantastic experience, so we decided to celebrate our little girl's baptism there as well. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, the buffet was perfect, pleasing everyone, and the atmosphere was great. Last but not least, the play area and green space were appreciated by everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended! All I can say is a heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire team! ❤️

30/05/2026: Nice place and welcoming staff, but unfortunately the food wasn't to our liking at all. There were three of us, and none of us appreciated the dishes, all of which were seafood. Being from Genoa and accustomed to eating fresh, high-quality seafood, we weren't happy with it. We sent back several full plates, and when we expressed our disappointment, the response was simply, "That's strange." I'm sorry, but I personally wouldn't recommend it.

24/05/2026: A fantastic place...excellent ingredients...impeccable service and top-notch customer service. It's incredible how you can enjoy excellent seafood dishes in Monferrato. Everything is top-notch and the place is meticulously clean. The price? Perfectly in line with the quality of what you get. Recommended? No! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

08/08/2026: 2 overcooked fillets, 1 still water, 1 Coke Zero and 2 sorbets that weren't sorbets but ice creams. Total 75 euros. YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN!!

20/07/2026: The service is pleasant, friendly, and attentive. We've been here a few times on different occasions and have always had a wonderful time; everything we've eaten has been thoroughly enjoyed. We also enjoyed the wines from the local winery. In the evening, it's lovely to dine al fresco on the outdoor veranda. Parking isn't a problem, and even though it's not very close to where we live, we definitely prefer it; what can I say, highly recommended! They periodically organize themed evenings: fish, paella, etc., which you can follow on Facebook. It's worth mentioning the Pollo Marengo, for which they even won an award. Thank you for the wonderful and delicious evenings, see you next time 😊

27/04/2026: We stopped for a snack and ordered a pizza for three to share... and it was a perfect choice! The pizza was truly delicious, well-made, and very tasty. The owners were super kind and helpful: in particular, he immediately realized we weren't local and took the time to recommend some areas and places to visit. A simple but truly appreciated gesture that makes all the difference. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, absolutely in line with the quality offered. If we return to Calliano, it will definitely be a must-visit. Highly recommended!
