My partner and I visited this wonderful place, where we ate and drank truly well... we were welcomed warmly by the lady and all her staff, making us feel right at home. The location was beautiful, the staff were super helpful, kind, and attentive, the food was delicious, from appetizers to dessert, all carefully prepared with top-quality ingredients, and there was a wide selection of wines from various wineries. We were also very pleased with the value for money.

Locale accogliente con servizio ottimo, la proprietaria Susanna, ci ha consigliato il vino perfetto per le portate del menu degustazione. Materie prime di primo ordine, lavorate in modo da esaltare i sapori. I proprietari del locale Susanna e Mario sono due persone disponibili e appassionate, ci hanno consigliato anche altri ristoranti e cantine della zona per completare al meglio il nostro tour gastronomico. Grazie ancora per il buon cibo e la disponibilità, torneremo sicuramente a trovarvi

Menu semplice ma completo
Due piatti mancanti al pranzo domenicale(?) Di conseguenza scelta limitatissima per vegetariani
Peccato per il pane (surgelato e di qualità mediocre)
Suggerisco di non servire un paniere di grissini a pezzettini (forse avanzi)

Kindness and local products are the perfect combination at this restaurant, not to mention the characteristic location with its grand vaults and family atmosphere. I return every time I'm in Moncalvo to buy Barbera, the iconic wine of this magnificent area. So if you're in Moncalvo, you have to go to Monsu' Mario. Enjoy your meal.

We discovered this place by chance while looking for a good restaurant to dine in, and what can I say? An excellent choice!
The owners, Susanna and Mario, welcomed us with a delicious house appetizer. The tajarin with sausage and porcini mushrooms was truly excellent, and the recommended wine paired perfectly.
If you want to eat in an intimate, welcoming setting with delicious cuisine, you've come to the right place.

A little gem in the Monferrato hills: an authentic atmosphere, local cuisine, and a heartwarming welcome.
The dishes are authentic and carefully crafted, from homemade tajarin to veal with tuna sauce, accompanied by excellent local wines. Everything speaks of tradition and passion.
A special thanks to Susanna and Mario, impeccable hosts, who made us feel at home with their kindness and attentiveness.
