We stumbled upon it by chance while passing by on January 1st and had a wonderful meal. Highly recommended!

01/02/2026: I've been a customer for a while but lately I've been disappointed, you spend a lot for a terrible service, we book for 3 people a waiter makes us sit on the cold veranda with an unset table with customers who had dogs that were constantly dazzling when inside there was also room on the veranda if anything you only seat customers who have dogs, the bathrooms are very dirty what can I say if I have to spend I must also have an adequate service I really think I will never go back there again
17/01/2026: Poor value for money. The pizza wasn't anything special, but it wasn't cheap: a paper placemat, two pieces of cutlery, and a glass were ridiculously expensive. We definitely won't be back.

20/01/2026: A hotel with a historical feel, located next to the Rialto Bridge, surrounded by restaurants and bars where you can eat or have a drink, just a minute's walk from the vaporettos, highly recommended
05/01/2026: Stayed 2 nights with breakfast included, friendly and welcoming staff, clean room, ask for more information on the ingredients and drinks of the breakfast buffet.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

13/10/2025: Hostaria ai Do Farai doesn't live up to the descriptions in previous reviews. It was a real disappointment! They've probably changed management... Terrible service and food, poor quality and quantity. We ordered seafood, but there was very little shellfish and it was flavorless, and the spaghetti tasted like it was seasoned with butter! They even tried to cheat us by charging us for what we hadn't eaten! They quickly changed the bill when this was pointed out, without apology. I don't recommend it!

The pizza is amazing;
The appetizers are dreamy;
The first courses, made with fresh pasta, are excellent and plentiful;
And let's not even talk about the second courses.
A word of advice: go if you're hungry.

04/10/2025: Delicious Italian food at the Lido. From pasta to pizza and Bellini, everything is available at reasonable prices and tastes great! Highly recommended!

29/12/2025: We had dinner at the restaurant. It was overall not a good experience. While the staff was friendly, the food was uninspired, not made to bring a taste experience to the guest.
The prices however, even for Venice standards, were just over the top.
No problem to pay extra in Venice, but then the quality should follow, and that is not the case here.
26/12/2025: Terrace only: They refused to let us have a drink on the terrace, even though it was practically empty at 3:30 pm, with only three tables occupied, all having drinks... The view was beautiful. The staff were unfriendly.

Pizza with fries: Fries undercooked and soggy.
Carbonara: The "bacon" was pure fat and not even a bit crispy.
Service seemed strained.
02/10/2025: The food is mediocre to good and of varying quality. The service tries to be friendly, but often seems fake and not heartfelt. A no-go is the €3 per person caperto, which is charged even for small children. Many neighboring restaurants don't charge this. I consider charging caperto to be outdated, even for Italy.
