23/02/2025: Happened by chance while we were wandering around Cortona..incredible town for its views!!..we hadn't booked..and it was Saturday evening!! But the owner, an exquisite person, still made us sit in comfortable armchairs and from there we were able to order our dishes. My steak with porcini mushrooms was... DIVINE!!! not to mention the local oil that they paired with us. Excellent raw materials. Elegant and refined environment Excellent service

23/12/2024: Soggiornato presso Hotel durante periodo di Natale. Ristorante moderno, elegante e proposte molto accattivanti come menu. Carni alla griglia fantastiche , con sapore tradizionale toscano. Pane nero e schiacciata da oscar. Consiglio vivamente ( bambina sempre servita per prima , aspetto da non sottovalutare )

10/01/2025: Sono un cuoco in uno dei ristoranti Michelin più importanti in Italia, tornato a casa per le ferie ho deciso di provare questo ristorante tanto chiacchierato in città. Locale molto bello, spazioso, profumato e ben curato. Il menù è molto ampio e ben costruito, non banale e molto originale spaziando tra tradizione, passione partenopea e modernità. Una delle migliori pasta patate e provola con i ricci che ho mai assaggiato. Servizio impeccabile e grande attenzione per il cliente. Ottima bollicina consigliata dal sommelier. Prezzo giustissimo. Qualità eccelsa per gli standard di Arezzo. Quantità ottima. Servizio ben fatto. Ottimo pranzo.

06/01/2025: Cibo raffinato e servizio eccellente. Il sommelier Maverick è un'ottima guida per il menu. Locale silenzioso con arredo bello di buon gusto. Attuali titolari lo hanno in gestione da oltre 15 anni.

01/01/2025: Nel viaggio organizzato con amici, siamo ritornati dopo tanti anni in questo ristorante. È stata una riconferma della bellissima esperienza vissuta l'altra volta. Locale bello, ben gestito dal gentilissimo titolare Filippo,personale molto preparato e cordiale, portate preparate in maniera favolosa, senza dimenticare le prelibate pizze. Quando saremo nuovamente da queste parti, ci ritorneremo. Consigliatissimo

25/01/2025: Abbiamo prenotato con largo anticipo un menù fisso per 9 persone tra cui una bambina di 2 anni, tra l’antipasto e il primo abbiamo aspettato più di un ora nonostante alcuni solleciti e la bimba alle 21.10 ancora non aveva avuto il suo piatto dalle 19.30 che siamo arrivati. Decidiamo di non procedere con la frittura dal momento che si è fatto tardi per la piccola e passiamo direttamente al caffè. Al momento del conto ci viene fatto comunque pagare il prezzo pieno (antipasto, primo, secondo) pure alla bimba. Avendo lavorato in ristoranti e bar vari posso comprendere alcune problematiche che si possono creare durante il lavoro soprattutto in serate piene bastava solo una accortezza in più da parte dello staff nello scusarsi per la lunga attesa e un po’ di sconto dal momento abbiamo preso alla fine solo un antipasto e un primo. Eravamo andati per festeggiare un compleanno che ci ha lasciato un po’ con l’amaro in bocca. Non ci torneremo più.

24/01/2025: Ottimi i Spaghetti di pesce,porzioni veramente abbondanti ed il pesce era super presente nel piatto! Abbondante anche la frittura,peccato che i gamberetti all’interno non erano freschi ma surgelati… Trattoria piccola ed ambiente casareccio. Non abbiamo assaggiato le loro pizze ma torneremo sicuramente

Giorgio, the owner, has been practicing the art of cooking for many years and has loyal customers who appreciate his dishes. The dishes range from sea to land through pizza. Good value for money. 01/01/2025: I had lunch with my family on the first of the year, the service was very slow (we waited 50 minutes for two roast potatoes) the older waiter was very rude and unprofessional. Used to often eating in restaurants, I found a cold environment and the food of average quality, although the costs were above average. Not recommended.

02/01/2025: A somewhat spartan and basic place, but the cuisine is excellent, the ingredients and raw materials used are good. Pizza, but not only that, really excellent. Managers and staff are very courteous and attentive to customers' requests. I highly recommend for an evening with friends or family.

26/12/2024: I've been once for lunch, ordered a fish menu, the prices are low, too low in fact the quality is lacking, the fish is cooked very well but everything the mussels are also frozen, the seafood salad is ready, you can feel that they are very good in the kitchen but by staying low with the price you lose quality, I will definitely come back to eat the land menu, because the cuisine feels like it is valid.

22/11/2024: My husband and I stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon around Tuscany. This hotel is a very beautiful and special place. When we arrived in from one of our previously visited cities, it was a Monday afternoon and the hotel restaurant was not open that night. Zoe helped us to reserve a table at a delicious local restaurant that was a short taxi ride away. (Definitely rent a car if you can or you will have to pay a pretty penny for the local taxis.) David the owner came to our room when we arrived with an aperitivo of some of their prosecco. The hotel grounds are well kept and very nice for sitting and enjoying the serenity of the area. We booked a cooking class with the executive chef and we handmade amazing dishes and enjoyed them for lunch as a four course meal. Greta helped translate the chef’s words to us from Italian to English the entire class and it all went very smoothly. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights and the food was superb. I ordered the fusilloni pasta two nights in a row because it was that good. The service in the restaurant was exceptional and professional as well. The breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked goods and the fruits were fresh and ripe. The waiters were always by our side and ready to make any hot drinks or anything else hot from the kitchen. We did use the hotel’s laundry service and our clothing was clean and nicely ironed. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, always leaving our room super clean and looking untouched and closing the outside shutters at turndown. All of the staff were readily available to provide anything extra if we needed. David has done a phenomenal job in training his staff. I feel like I have more to say but this will do for now! We would love to return back one day with more friends and family to share Relais La Corte dei Papi with. Thank you all again!!

03/11/2024: Very expensive mirror for decoys Everything is nice as long as you are outside, a pleasant garden. The room, however, is all smoke and little fire, absolutely not in line with what a 5 star should be, there are no excuses. For a suite, the photos speak for themselves and there is really no need to say anything else. The phone doesn't have reception, the TV has 5 working channels, the hydromassage is not very clean and takes forever to heat up, not even 33cl of water offered... It's not the first time I've stayed as a couple in a hotel of this type and I can calmly say that in Tuscany you can find much better for the same price. If you have money to waste and want to be dazzled by the gold finishes, this is the place for you, but forget about cleanliness and those details that really make the experience worth the trip. Breakfast was nothing special, very little choice for savory foods and in general it was a hassle since nothing presented had labels describing what it was. Ditto for dinner where an appetizer is offered placed on the table without half a word of description. In general it can be said that the real sore point is represented not only by the price (absolutely disproportionate) but by the manipulative strategy that we have also had the opportunity to find in other reviews, so be careful because being clever is apparently a trend. The time of our arrival found the kitchen closed so we were offered a platter of cured meats (20 total slices) and cheeses (5 pieces) with a wine of their own production chosen by the maitre. No alternatives. No wine list. No price. Well, that lunch cost more than €100 and that's unacceptable. The maitre d' knew this when he proposed it to us, but we didn't. We felt really cheated, there is no justification, terrible attitude. If you think you're clever enough to fool the customers you manage to fool with two smiles, you deserve all the reviews that highlight how unfair not only the quality-price ratio is but also the lack of transparency of your offers.
