26/08/2026: Let me start by saying that I'm Sicilian and passionate about both meat and fish. I've traveled extensively in my life, and I can say, beyond any reasonable doubt, that "Il Solito Posto" is the best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. I have nothing else to add. My compliments, truly.

21/08/2026: The fish is definitely very fresh, but some dishes, especially the first courses, could be made with a little more creaminess to make them tastier. For example, the spaghetti with sea urchins, very fresh but with a slightly bitter aftertaste and a lack of creaminess, too runny. The appetizers are good. Friendly staff, efficient service, and good value. The location is distinctive, with its beautiful cross-vaulted ceilings.

16/07/2026: We'd heard great things about this place, and that's exactly what we got. We had the fish couscous: spectacular. The lady, I think the owner, welcomed us with rare kindness. But what really stuck with me was her honesty. She advised us to stop for the couscous and then decide whether to order something else. Because here, the priority isn't quantity, it's quality. And the line outside proves it: fresh produce and a lot of professionalism. Truly well done. We'll be back before we leave.

27/06/2026: Go early cause it is hard to get in without booking. The food was very good and fresh! The service was excellent - one waiter saw there were mosquitos bothering me and he brought mosquito spray without having to ask!! I was really happy i could enjoy the meal in peace thanks to that 😃

11/04/2026: Too bad you can't give less than one star, otherwise I would have. We went to eat the "famous" couscous with fish. A total disappointment. They brought us a huge plate but with a small central base, so if you wanted to fill up on couscous, it was just an illusion. There was a bit of fish on top of this couscous that wasn't even separated well but all mushy, a bit of concentrated fish broth on the side to moisten the heart of the couscous. I expected much better, to tell the truth, the fish on top was mackerel for me and inside the couscous no other type of seafood. My stomach and palate refused to eat the rest after a couple of forkfuls, so I left it there, also because after asking the owner what fish was in it and having listed sea bream, grouper, scorpionfish, and the best fish, he told me that they make the broth with fish "carcasses"! According to this, I left half the portion inedible! A total disappointment and not at all cheap! A bottle of water and half a glass of wine cost a whopping €36! When I got home, I ate it again because I was hungry! Think about it! Before paying a fortune and eating badly, enjoy a cheap and much better street food pie! A waste of money.

09/04/2026: I had dinner at this restaurant with friends who recommended it to me, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Elegant, sophisticated dishes with rich seafood flavors. Their couscous with broth is a must-try: exceptional 😍 The trio of appetizers is also excellent. Compliments to the owners.

The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. The ambience was warm and inviting, making for a wonderful evening. What made the experience even more special was the generosity of the staff. They offered us an incredible fresh fish that wasn’t even on the official menu, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the meal. They also spoke excellent English, which made us feel very comfortable and added to the overall experience. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly set this restaurant apart. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

18/06/2026: During a sunset trip to Erice, a friend and I found this little spot, a bit hidden but definitely worth a try. I ate a delicious sweet and sour tuna steak, while enjoying a breathtaking view.

20/05/2026: We had a great meal, the restaurant is well located, the welcome was warm, and the service was pleasant and quick. I recommend it.

24/08/2026: The food is good, but the service, while friendly, is rather slow. Worst of all, there are two areas, one air-conditioned and one not, and if you're placed in the non-air-conditioned one on hot evenings, you're in for a real treat: it's absurd to have both first-class and second-class customers in the same place.

28/07/2026: We had a delicious meal here! Highly recommended. Friendly hostess. Took the time to tell us about the dishes. We ate delicious fresh fish ‘Orato’, fried in a bread crust. Our 5 daughters also enjoyed the Sicilian dishes. In addition, we drank a delicious white wine ‘Grillo’, naturally from their own vineyard.

14/08/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant, I'll start by saying it was my favorite... I can confirm that the staff is exceptional, very kind and professional. But I can also say that the lady at the cash register, in my opinion, is unprofessional and very attached to every penny, considering that my 15-month-old son accidentally broke a bottle of wine. She gave me the bill and charged me €26, telling me I had to pay. Of course, I also paid for the wine, and obviously the lady didn't realize that we left the two starters because they were brought out. She obviously shouldn't have put a table with a small child attached to the wine bottles!!! This place is absolutely not recommended for families with small children, obviously as long as the "lady" is present.

09/08/2026: If I could give a 0, I would have done so. I ordered pasta with scampi. Well, I didn't get scampi, but 4 small prawns and 2 large gambas heads, and then you pay 26 euros for this.

16/08/2026: The appetizers were fresh, the first courses tasteless, the service terrible, I don't recommend it. The table was booked for 9:30 pm... the food arrived at 11:00 pm... not recommended for those with children.

11/08/2026: Good food, but extremely slow service. The first courses arrived after 2 hours, and not even all of them at the same time. The table was reserved, but upon entry they said there wasn't a reservation. After several minutes, they admitted they hadn't noted it. Too bad.

We had paccheri with red shrimp and spaghetti with sea urchins, and they were perfect: fresh ingredients and authentic flavor. Welcoming place and breathtaking view. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.
