La Bettola In Favignana

We ate couscous there, disappointed because only fish came with it (no seafood or shrimp or prawns). My friend had the trapanese pasta. Disappointing. The waitress forgot my friend's drink.

Disappointed...I expected a little more from a restaurant in Favignana. Good welcome... table found immediately. The first ordered: spaghetti with clams, pistachio pesto and confit tomatoes were overcooked but I would opt for pre-cooked... excellent ingredients but in the end a ready tomato sauce with dry clams. The second courses are good but small portions. Grilled calamari...a squid the size of your finger. Fried calamari ...2..2.5 calamari at most. For dessert...good...but we had to tackle a waiter. Same thing for the bill...I went to the checkout...even though 4/5 staff passed by me, no one even paid any attention to me...I could have left without paying...when I left the amount at the checkout...I said goodbye ...without any response. Goodbye Bettola..ah I've been a chef and restaurateur for 30 years

Restaurant decentralized from the town center (we are talking about 300-400 meters from the main street). Very popular. We went on a Saturday evening, and it was also the village festival but it was October and there was a queue outside the club until well after 10pm. One of their highlights is the fish couscous. Optimal. Really excellent, clearly the best of those tried on the island. I would say that all the dishes were of good quality and quite filling. Maybe I would have expected something more from the busiate (which they offer in numerous versions) but I had very high expectations. Friendly and professional service, the staff all travel with earphones and talk to each other as they would with a taxi centre. Prices slightly lower than average. In short, excellent value for money.

Delicious first courses (spaghetti with sea urchins and spaghetti with mussels, saffron and bottarga). Sorbet, water and wine (half a bottle). 70 euros for 2.
