13/09/2025: This was our favorite meal of our entire honeymoon! The service was phenomenal and they treated you like family. My ravioli was delicious and my husband greatly enjoyed the seafood risotto. We were treated to complimentary lemon sorbet and limoncello shots. We truly felt celebrated and loved. 11/10 recommend trying this restaurant. If we are ever in Sicily again, we will definitely be back!

14/09/2025: Service: They are friendly, polite, serious, good, informative, impeccable. The food is excellent quality, I won't add anything else; it's not industrial, it's excellent, EXCELLENT! If you want a small place, without clutter and with good, well-organized food, La Pigna is perfect. Atmosphere: Small, Hobbit-like, beautiful, too beautiful. I had a risotto, excellent rice, excellent quality, with exquisite lupini beans, and I also had some delicious, pre-cleaned shrimp, perfect oil, and the fish is something else, especially Muddicca pasta. Excellent pasta, breadcrumb-filled pasta. For dessert: delicious tiramisu, delicious Zibibbo, and then the black cherry one, made with four flavors of delicious sugar balls, white balls that enclose the lemon and black cherry cream balls with a mint flower on top. 28/09/2025: The best Pasta A la Norma we had in our week here, between Catania and the islands north. Everything was delicious; dessert should not be skipped, also phenomenal. The staff was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Families were happy eating here and I would swear the manager knew everyone in the neighborhood as a regular if I could understand Italian. I felt welcomed and was well cared for nonetheless. One of our favorites of many restaurants visited around Italy. I wish the car wash across the street would close for a better atmosphere.

18/08/2025: A simply unforgettable dinner in the heart of Ortigia! We started with a breathtaking appetizer: a fresh, flavorful, and top-quality tuna tartare, which immediately raised the bar. Then came the fried fish: crispy, light, perfectly executed, and accompanied by a truly amazing sauce. But the real spectacle came with the first courses: the shrimp and pistachio spaghetti was an explosion of flavor with every bite—sea and land came together in an embrace that was almost touching. And then... the sea urchin carbonara. Words are insane. A dish worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, a unique and perfectly balanced combination that deserves every possible applause. The staff? Simply exceptional. The chef deserves an award, and the chef's wife was exceptionally kind, always with a sincere and welcoming smile. We left the restaurant so satisfied that we wanted to take up residence nearby, just to return more often. An experience that goes far beyond just eating: here, you can experience a passion for cooking. Highly recommended!

18/08/2025: Elegant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent food. Definitely worth returning. N.B.: They'll soon be changing their name from "Perle d'Ortigia" to "Osteria Illuminata," but the chef will remain the same. Highly recommended.

21/08/2025: I ordered with the Fork, I don't know if it depends on this but it was repeated again that some first courses like linguine with sea urchins, or grouper ravioli, quite important dishes, are not available, I had spaghetti with clams, 8 clams in number and abundant pasta but only with the flavour of oil and parsley, a shame because even if the service is excellent but the burners are few and the waiting times are long, I don't know if I will return.

22/09/2025: Grazie per tutti Gabriele and team. I rocked up a little.lost after days at sea and an unexpected disembarkement. I was brought to this lovely hotel and restaurant by a helpful and friendly delivery driver who found me stranded with no phone data, Italian language or Euros! :) Its been my home for 4 days and they have been so helpful. Looked after me, helped me.woth immigration technicalities, driven me places and printed off tickets for onward travel im case my phone runs out on my long, and somewhat uncertain journey ahead. Aswell as all that, beautifully located and delicious food and drink. 🙏🦪

24/09/2025: I stopped by almost at closing time and they were extremely helpful and kind. The shrimp, calamari, and zucchini skewers were simply superb! The fish was incredibly fresh, tender, and cooked perfectly... delicious.

02/10/2025: We had a delicious meal, fish of the day. My partner had meat, which wasn't as good. The place is beautiful, spacious, yet intimate thanks to the various nooks and crannies.
