05/05/2025: You have to try the catch of the day! The best fish we have in Italy so far. Fresh, cooked to perfection with amazing sauce and tasty vegetables. The owners are so sweet and we felt really welcomed. The limited English skills aren't an issue – they still provide a great experience.

I due primi ottimi e ben bilanciati nel gusto. La "pasta ca muddica" mi ha riportata indietro nel tempo a quando la mia nonna preparava questo piatto. 02/05/2025: We had a great dining experience at Le 7 Spezie in Syracuse, Sicily. We ordered the pistachio trofie, scampi linguini, seafood risotto, and grilled swordfish. The pastas were outstanding—some of the best we’ve ever had. The standout was definitely the pistachio trofie, which had a unique, flavorful sauce that was incredibly tasty and memorable. The grilled swordfish was a bit of a letdown—it came out quite dry—but the quality of the pastas more than made up for it. One thing to note: there is a €3 per person bread service charge, which is common in the area but worth mentioning. Google says the restaurant opens at 7 but when we came, it was only opened at 7:30. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the pasta alone!

23/03/2025: This is the best restaurant in Italy! Beautiful place with amazing food! And the hostess lady is an angel! My family dined two nights in a row when we were there. My daughter very much enjoyed the mango sorbet on the house.🩷

07/03/2025: Dit restaurant is fantastisch. Het interieur is smaakvol ingericht en de bediening is supervriendelijk. We dronken een lekkere fles Frappato (rode wijn), kregen brood met heerlijke olijfolie en dan namen we lekkere pasta en nadien superlekkere zwaardvis. De gerechten zijn een tikje origineel en heel smakelijk. Goede prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Ook willen ze voor kinderen een apart gerecht maken. Absolute aanrader als je iets verfijnder wil eten zonder te duur te zijn.

27/04/2025: Recommended by friends, we finally managed to try it and I must say that in Avola it is among the best. Very pleasant place, well furnished, with a relaxing atmosphere. We chose the fish menu and were satisfied with the quality and quantity. The staff is present, numerous and ready. Prices are not prohibitive. We will be back!

27/04/2025: In posizione strategica, a pochi passi dal ponte che conduce in Ortigia, questo locale si rivela schietto, casalingo, autentico e tradizionale. Poco turistico anche se, inevitabilmente, i turisti ci arrivano e si mescolano con piacere alla numerosa clientela locale. Il menu è ampio, i prezzi sono nella norma, anzi considerata la media dei locali della zona li definirei accettabili. Io provo un’ottima e abbondante pasta con le sarde e un’insalata mista. Con acqua, pane e una gradevole apparecchiatura spendo sui 25 euro. Ambientazione marinara, servizio gentile e ‘rallentato’.

03/05/2025: We ended up here because it was close to our hotel. The location is great, and the staff were friendly and spoke English well, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The tuna steak was far too thin and one of the worst we’ve had — I had to send it back because it simply couldn’t be cooked properly. The calamari was just okay, but lacked flavor. The pasta with clams was decent, but that’s a dish that’s hard to get wrong. Bread was also below average . The house white wine was also disappointing compared to other places we visited. Overall, we wouldn’t return, as there are many better options nearby.

21/04/2025: I returned to Perle d'Ortigia after a year and took the opportunity to taste the new dishes on the menu. Quality, cleanliness, kindness and friendliness literally served on a plate!!!! At Perle d'Ortigia the smile is at home, the owners are simply wonderful. Their dishes are studied down to the smallest detail and are a real pleasure. Not to mention the excellent choice of wines. I absolutely recommend it, the best restaurant in Ortigia!.

16/04/2025: Wonderful gastronomic experience Warm welcome from Hostess Viviana, explaining the wines then partner Chef Antonio (Roberto) detailing with passion his creations blending Sicilian old & new. All local ingredients Fresh bread & virgin olive oil served pre food, with a classic chilled Grillo Main course pasta with red prawn & piastcios, good portion, full of deep rich flavours. Fabulous evening Would recommend to book in advance
