05/05/2026: If you like standard Sicilian food served in large portions don’t go here! If you want something a bit different from the run of the mill restaurants, fantastic combinations of flavours and a fine dining experience you must go to this restaurant. The whole experience was wonderful, the service was superb, the presentation of the food a work of art. Can’t recommend it enough, the best restaurant I have been to in Taormina.

A Quiet and Beautiful Location It is nestled between beautiful alleys that exude the unique charm of Sicily. In contrast to the hustle and bustle of the alley right next door, the outdoor terrace seating is incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to fully focus on the meal and enjoy the atmosphere. 2. Personalized Recommendations by a Wine Expert Not only are the servers incredibly friendly, but a wine expert (sommelier) personally visits your table to recommend wines that pair well with the dishes. The recommended pairing was truly "amazing," so if you enjoy wine, be sure to ask for a recommendation. 3. An Impressive Course Meal (Soup Highly Recommended!) While the entire course was excellent, the soup served first was particularly impressive—so much so that I would call it the best meal of the entire trip. 4. Overall Review For those wondering, "Do you want to experience a proper Michelin-starred restaurant in Sicily?", I don't think there is a better option than this. It was a meal where everything—taste, atmosphere, and service—was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal! ^^!

06/04/2026: We visited at the beginning of March, and it was one of, if not the, most memorable meals we’ve ever had. The service was impeccable from start to finish: attentive without ever being overbearing, striking the perfect balance throughout the evening. My partner has a fish allergy, which was accommodated seamlessly across all courses, with no fuss at all. We ordered from the à la carte menu and the food was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients truly shone through, and the level of care across every dish was first class. Highlights included the beef tartare with shaved truffle, as well as the lamb ragù and cheese-filled pasta (both the staff and other reviews insist you order this - and they’re absolutely right!). Finally, the wine: Paolo’s pairing recommendations were spot on. A brilliant mix of interesting local Sicilian wines alongside excellent Italian and French options - the Burgundy selection in particular is seriously impressive.

05/05/2026: We came around 11 o'clock to ask what time they open because we wanted to plan lunch there - I heard that it's not a bar and they open at 11:30. We arrived a moment after this hour, we had large backpacks with us so we took a seat at a table for 4 people (me and my fiancé) - I would like to emphasize that no one was in the restaurant. The waiter came and told us to move to a smaller table even though there were no other people. The food and drinks were very good - I don't want to miss it. Then people started to gather - each table got a welcome treat, unfortunately we didn't - maybe a moment after opening they didn't have ready yet. 2x service was added to the bill - 3 euros per person, which in my opinion should count from a larger group or one service to one bill - especially since we took 1 pizza for half

16/11/2025: Delicious food and great service. This quaint restaurant with terrace overlooking Taormina’s public gardens and located off the beaten track and away from the tourist traps. Highly recommend it to anyone who is not looking for the usual dishes found in most the restaurants. Well presented and fresh local food. 10 out of 10. Well done!

03/11/2025: A delicious dinner. Eva was such a gracious host and server, and each dish was prepared with affection and care — the octopus was perfectly cooked and I delighted in my spaghetti with gamberi. Thank you and your colleagues for the incredible hospitality and kindness!

01/01/2026: A memorable December 31st: we ate outside even though it was raining, warmed by blankets, the fire, and above all by the attentive staff who pampered us until the very end. Jacqueline was an excellent hostess.

21/12/2025: What an experience ! Fantastic apetizer (sardinas fried to perfection with a simple home made mayonaise) and ensalata de bacalao with grapefruit and olives. My taste sense just exploded. Luckily there was a glass of the finest sauvignon to help getting back to earth 🙈😇. Delicious it was. Thank you very much.

09/04/2026: The most beautiful view in all of Taormina, impeccable service and exceptional food. We met the Italian Chef and he was really good. All the staff made us feel very welcome. The prices were right for the location, service and quality of food.

02/05/2026: After several days in Taormina, we ate at four restaurants, and this was by far the best I've had, along with Mama Rosa's restaurant. We had a fantastic evening! The pistachio and guanciale pasta was exceptional! Don't bother going to Don Nino's tavern a little further down; it's not quite as good as here at La Grotta Azzura. Thank you so much to the whole team at La Grotta Azzura!!

02/05/2026: The waiter was super friendly, the food was exceptional, and they've changed the restaurant's decor, which is much more elegant! Don't bother queuing for another restaurant further away, because this one is better :)

01/05/2026: I recently visited this restaurant and had a truly fantastic experience. The staff was immediately welcoming and professional. The food was simply excellent: carefully prepared dishes and quality ingredients. Each course was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The live music made the evening even more special, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy dinner. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, excellent service, and a pleasant overall experience!

10/04/2026: Lovely discovery whilest walking around!my ravioli with salmon was tasty. One comment for improvement, it would be great to have a smaller bottle of water as for 1 person 75cl is way too much! I ordered a fresh orange juice instead. Staff was very friendly and I felt welcomed! Grazie mille 🙏

09/04/2026: My family and I went here twice in four days - that should speak for itself. Very easy and quick, and the food is delicious. Staff is also very friendly. If you sit outside, the people watching is great, as this restaurant is located on a busy side street.

02/05/2026: The best restaurant in Taormina, with exceptionally friendly service, a homey atmosphere, delicious food, and fresh fish—not so easy to find on this island. We're going back tomorrow. Plus, the view of Mount Etna—wonderful! I hope there are more places like this!
