09/10/2024: They spoke well to me about this place for its simple hospitality and menu. I had a great time with the environment, the helpfulness of the owners and the quality of the food. A few notes, some dishes in my opinion should be better tested before offering them to customers. I'm referring to the busiate with mussels and rocket pesto. Perhaps I would have preferred to tone down the intense flavor of the rocket with a sweeter fish rather than mussels. But these are personal considerations that are possibly not reflected in other guests. For the rest really happy. The appropriate price

09/03/2025: Parto dall’unico neo della serata, la location è carina ben curata ma veramente piccola, forse nel periodo estivo con la saletta esterna si sente meno, ma il locale o interno è molto piccolo e più volte mi è capitato di toccare e far traballare i suppellettili del locale, ma siamo comunque nel centro storico di taormina e ci sta. Detto ciò andiamo in discesa, il personale gentile e formale il giusto un plauso e le mie scuse al sommelier, gentilissimo colto e professionale, mi scuso per non aver seguito la degustazione dei calici consigliati ma abbiamo trovato una bottiglia troppo interessante che era una vera bomba a mano! Il percorso degustativo è interessante gusti sempre centrati senza nessun eccesso ma tutti bilanciatissimi. Complimenti vivissimi a tutto lo staff, perché si vede che è la realizzazione di un sogno. Torneremo anche per fare la degustazione dei vini. Cantina top! Piatto top la seppia zero waste il meno riuscito il tortello ripieno( ma solo per la pasta un tantino spessa)

20/02/2025: Positive experience, very small and welcoming place..opens at 1pm, welcomed with prosecco, we opted for a fried dish with two very tasty first courses, the fish was really good and fresh. Cooked with skill, really good cheese, pepper, mussels and lime, I had never tasted a similar combination, certainly not cheap but if the fish is good you can't complain about the price

16/02/2025: A friend took me there for lunch. The welcome with a glass of prosecco was an unexpected and very welcome touch of elegance. We took the house starter and saying "very good" is not enough. Particular combinations but for my tastes all spot on. The red Mazzara prawn melted in your mouth. The desserts were also delicious. A place where the love for good food shines through, where you experiment with fresh, local products. I will definitely go back.

02/02/2025: I went for lunch today, absolutely inadvisable, and not for the goodness or quality of the food, which certainly passed the test, but for the quantity of the portions, truly a scandal, the first a bottom of the plate (about twenty of euros), the second mixed grilled fish, four tiny things!! (25...28 euros), a fool's errand, I'll never go again!!

08/01/2025: Excellent location well located on the sea front with free parking, fast and attentive service, the only negative note is the excessively high price for dishes that are really very poor in quantity, the grouper could barely be seen

25/09/2024: Esposa y yo hemos visitado La Caravella muchas veces a lo largo de los años, Dominic y su equipo siempre nos han cuidado mucho y nos trataron como familia. Durante esta visita pasamos cuatro días disfrutando del paisaje y almuerzos tranquilos. Las tumbonas de playa están muy bien espaciadas y tiene una sombrilla bien anclada para proporcionar sombra si se desea. Su equipo nos recogería en nuestro hotel Taormina y nos transportaría a la playa donde nos recibirían y nos mostrarían nuestros lugares para el día. Camine unos pasos hacia atrás hasta el restaurante cubierto donde el menú es bastante grande y variado, a un precio razonable y la comida siempre deliciosa. El servicio es siempre amable, eficiente y atento. Al final del día el transporte de Dominic nos lleva de vuelta a nuestro hotel. Gracias a Dominic y a todo el equipo por otra maravillosa visita de varios días!

13/09/2024: Gran experiencia en la playa. La Caracalla nos recogió con su lanzadera y nos llevó al club de playa. Incluido en nuestro precio era el servicio de transporte, 2 sillas y una sombrilla. La playa estaba limpia y el mar claro. Tuvimos un almuerzo fabuloso en el restaurante y el propietario nos organizó un viaje en barco por la zona. Muy recomendable.

11/11/2024: My husband and I spent two nights in Taoromina and both nights we ate at Al Giardino! Everything we ate was incredible! The Marsala chicken with a side of vegetables - outstanding! Impossibly moist chicken. Tagliatelle with red prawn and pistachio - unlike anything we’ve eaten in Italy and so delicious! Spaghetti with anchovies and fried bread - oh my god I will be dreaming of this dish! So comforting and very umami! And of course the eggplant parmigiana! Unbelievably flavourful and so meaty. Definitely try it! The minestrone and meatballs were also fantastic! Great service! Everyone was super attentive and kind. A true gem of a spot and I hope to return one day! Grazie!

30/10/2024: You sit a little apart in a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is run with passion and the food is worth the price! We have rarely eaten so well. Don't be afraid to come here with children, the chef is also ready to prepare pasta with tomato sauce for the little ones 😊 Absolutely recommended in all respects!

19/02/2025: Tornato da poco dalla Scozia dove il fish and chips rappresenta uno dei piatti nazionali. Ho provato il baccalà croccante dell’ossidiana e devo ammettere che è il migliore che ho mangiato negli ultimi anni. Eccellente il prodotto ma soprattutto Fantastico il piatto, una gioia per il palato. Il secondo veramente buono con degli scialatielli con pesce spada. Ottimo anche il salmone in crosta di pistacchio. Ringrazio mia zia per avermi consigliato questo ristorante.

07/03/2025: Disastrous experience, i had the Paccheri con tonno there a few days ago, and the pasta were totally hard = completely undercooked (not 'al dente', but undercooked). I asked the waiter to take back the dish and recook it, which he finally did after trying to convince me they were just 'al dente'. When he brought back the plate, he admitted the pasta were too hard indeed, but the 'new' ones were not much better. Instead of apologizing and making a commercial gesture for their missed dish, they counted 1 liter of water, although i asked for a small bottle, and additionally for the 'coperto'. Please go somewhere else, they are far better and cheaper restaurants around!

25/02/2025: Fantastic service, food, atmosphere- a wonderful team who not only shared their knowledge and experience of the cuisine but also went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. The cheese selection with honey and marmalade was sublime, the homemade agnolotti with shellfish sauce was unbelievably good and the steak excellent. It was my husband’s birthday and the staff brought out a slice of candle-topped chocolate cake, really a memorable evening- thanks - check out the offer on The Fork if you would like to experience this with other budget-friendly options - definitely worth it ☘️

01/11/2024: Titolare gentilissimo, locale pulito praticamente sul mare. Siamo andati fuori stagione ed il titolare ha aperto a pranzo appositamente per noi (eravamo in 6). Antipasti di mare ottimi e spaghettata di vongole gustosa: ottimo rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Ritorneremo al prossimo giro in moto!
