07/06/2025: Nowadays, finding a dish that surprises you and makes you discover totally new flavors is definitely not easy. For this I am grateful to the chef. For example, I think that the spaghettoni with anemones and sea urchins can only be tasted here and it is really worth it! And in any case, all the dishes are prepared with care and attention to the raw materials. Just to give an example, for each dish the oil with which it is prepared is mentioned!

01/06/2025: Excellent. I don’t have a lot to say but this: The service is exceptional, the chief comes to present you your dishes, and everyone is nice. When it comes to the food, it’s simply amazing. And for the place itself, it’s decorated with taste and the place is calm.

31/05/2025: I found this restaurant in the heart of town — very cozy and comfortable, yet also quite posh. They told me all the paintings in the restaurant are by the owner, who’s also an artist. So imagine dining in an atmosphere filled with art and jazz. A beautiful experience — I definitely recommend it!

24/06/2025: We booked this restaurant for both the aperitif and the dinner, attracted by the beautiful location. Upon arrival, the terrace was undoubtedly suggestive, but the organization left something to be desired: even though there were free tables in the front row, we were shown a table in the second row with the unpleasant effect of admiring the heads of our neighbors more than the view. The aperitif confirmed the tendency of the entire island to have decidedly high prices: 15 euros for a gin and tonic served without even bringing the bottle of tonic to the table — a small gesture that would have made the service more attentive. For dinner we were accompanied upstairs: here too the few tables with a view of the sunset were reserved, even though some remained empty until late at night. Our table for two gave us a view that was not breathtaking: I was facing the mountain antennas, my partner was facing the entrance to the restaurant. The food, it must be said, was of good quality, but once again the price seemed disproportionate to what was offered. The final bill of 170 euros leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, not so much for the amount itself, but for the general feeling of an experience that, with a little more attention, could have turned into a beautiful evening. It is a shame to note how in many locations on the island that little “cuddle” that often makes the difference is missing: a thoughtful gesture, a detail of courtesy, that care of the guest that transforms a beautiful place into a special place.

The lifeguard of the pool super attentive, polite and professional. The guys at the bar top. The restaurant staff super ready to welcome and satisfy the requests of the customer... Tutti i piatti che abbiamo ordinato avevano qualcosa di magico, presentazione sapori in pratica una delizia. Una menzione speciale merita lo chef davvero bravo e cordiale. Tornare a Taormina significa tornare al ristorante Le Naumachie. A presto

04/06/2025: Tuvimos un tiempo tan encantador recibiendo el menú del almuerzo que regresamos un día diferente para la cena. Durante nuestro tiempo en Sicilia, comimos de todo, desde restaurantes con estrellas Michelin hasta cafés casuales. Este fue uno de los lugares más memorables y deliciosos de todos ellos. Fue una verdadera experiencia gastronómica con excelentes y reflexivos cursos que destacaron la cocina de Sicilia. Te ahorraré todos los detalles, pero cada plato de la bolsa de diversión, pan para el postre estaba bien preparado y con sabor. También me gustaría señalar que mi esposa es vegetariana y sus comidas eran todas reflexivas e igualmente deliciosas como las mías. Por favor, hazte un favor y prueba este lugar, no te decepcionará. Es muy fácil gastar mucho más en una trampa turística en Taormina, con poca o ninguna recompensa. Esto es una joya y vale cada centavo y más.

21/06/2025: I ordered a prawn pasta, unfortunately the shrimp was very mushy (clearly been frozen for a while and not fresh). The pasta got nice sauce, but what a let down by the quality of prawns.. To be honest, they did put on the menu that prawns may be frozen, but I have asked the waiter to check if prawns are fresh and he said he would check but no response after that until the pasta was served. My husband had a seafood pasta, which turned out to be good, it had mussels, clams, a langoustine, all seemed to be fresh. Lastly, waited for a check for half an hour even though there were only 2 other tables.

22/06/2025: Fantastic food and service. Cozy atmosphere and great location. A bit hidden away but would recommend anyone visiting Taormina to eat here! Order something from the "catch of the day" menu and you won't be disappointed!

31/05/2025: We really enjoyed visiting La Caravella while on holiday in Taormina. Our hotel recommended it to us and arranged for their shuttle to come and collect us. This was great as we later found out that taxis to go down the hill from La Taormina are extremely expensive. We were very warmly greeted and offered a pick of sun loungers. This excellent service continued all day, with the waiters and beach boys quick to offer any help or service you required. The beach is stony with small pebbles so bring water shoes or flip flops. This place is clean and well maintained but does not have the glossy chic ( or cost!) of some fancy beach bars which are perhaps for younger people more interested in a party vibe, but the service and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for. A great team of people supervised by a hands-on, friendly proprietor. The highlight of the day was the food. Julio recommended the daily specials on both of our visits, and both were outstanding. They have a very talented chef for sure. I have never tasted tuna steak so moist and flavoursome. The pasta with fresh anchovies prepared Sicilian style was also delicious. There are also much plainer offerings on the menu. The shuttle bus returned us to our hotel at the end of the day. Thoroughly enjoyable day and I highly recommend.
