Very friendly staff and fast service. We had asked to have dinner quickly as we had a ferry back at 8pm and we were satisfied. The fish is very fresh; we were recommended spaghetti with catch of the day, really good. Excellent value for money. Must try.

20/06/2025: The waitress was rude to us. She bought the bread but no side plates or oil and vinegar. My husband and I were still eating our starters when our main courses arrived and where just put on the table. When we had finished our dinner we sat there for 15 minutes with empty plates and glasses while our waitress stood next to our table chatting with other guests and totally ignored us. Please do not waste your money going to this restaurant!!!! There are a lots of nicer restaurants in Taormina.....

05/06/2025: Want to eat like a Sicilian local, this is the place to go. Fresh catch of day is so. Fresh pasta is something to taste. The vin selection is great including the dessert wines and aged grappa ( barricate).Reasonable price for the quality of food.

We arrive at the restaurant and after a few minutes the waiter shows up to take our order in a hurry, we ask for a few more minutes and he disappears completely from the radar! After a bit of time spent admiring the plastic flower at the table and the lady who poured us the water by stretching her arm in front of the diner's face rather than going around, we manage to complete the order in a few seconds and almost without a response to our thanks.
We receive the appetizer with boiled octopus completely overwhelmed by the taste of the giardiniera full of vinegar, a scampi not properly cleaned of the intestine, a tasteless raw shrimp and a few other normal things; only during the work did they bring us the spoon to divide the portions throwing it on the cuttlefish boat fortunately already empty.
The main courses arrived when we still had the appetizer plates on the table and we had to help the guy in trouble, who when we asked for a knife, spoon and plate for the shrimp heads looked at us as if we had asked for the moon, in addition to the wait of several minutes, which however gave us time to appreciate the parsley leaf with jaundice that decorated our plates of couscous, marked on the menu as hand-cooked. And here a chapter opens, since it was clearly pre-cooked. When we asked for confirmation from the phenomenon who had taken the order, he began with a loving "let's not talk stupid things" seasoned with a series of stories about how they have been offering top-quality food for 35 years and how we clearly didn't understand anything, all without even letting us finish a sentence without interrupting us. When our request to speak to the owner was completely ignored, we decided to leave everything at the table and end the evening like this. The lady at the cash register couldn't do anything beyond shrug her shoulders and round up the bill by €2.50.
We were robbed of a good €70 for eating almost nothing and being taken for fools by people who present themselves as a high-class restaurant when the quality of food and service are to be considered below the worst dive, where at least you eat well.

12/06/2025: Avoid the fish of the day. I paid Euro 50 for a small circa 300gm Sea Bass. I love good fish but hate being ripped off. I was told it was 500gms. Manager very unapologetic.

04/05/2025: Ambiente encantador justo al lado de una calle concurrida en Ortigia. El personal era amable y servicial con la organización de una mesa más grande para nosotros, incluso en un espacio reducido. Carta diversa, con muchas opciones geniales para un banquete más grande o un almuerzo más ligero. Sabroso marisco fresco y buen antipasto. Los platos de pasta eran maravillosos y llenos de sabor. Recomiendo encarecidamente los raviolis caseros con cerdo. No había muchas opciones de cócteles, pero el mojito virgen era tan refrescante que tuve que tomar otro.
15/04/2025: Preciosas opciones de comida siciliana en el menú. Restaurante íntimo muy popular con buen servicio en la noche que estuvimos allí. Iría de nuevo. Recomiendo reservar como puede estar ocupado.

04/11/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo affascinante ristorante il cui affaccio sul mar mediterraneo è intervallato dalle dolci colline con le verdi vigne senza soluzione di continuità fino all’orizzonte.
Il sapiente e competente sommelier Dragos ti abbina i vini che meglio aderiscono organoletticamente al cibo che vai a degustare.
La brigata opera in cucina in perfetta armonia ed elabora piatti sintesi di tradizione locale ed innovazione creativa. Cialde di melanzane con gelato di provola ragusana; tartare di seppia nel suo guazzetto; crostino con la galletta al nero di seppia e mousse dei suoi fegatini ; l’umile merluzzo nobilitato dal caviale.
Insomma grande armonia e sobrio stile Planeta in ogni oggetto ed in ogni scenografia.
Ho messo 4 pallini perché quella sera lo chef Angelo Pumilia era assente, perché i piatti mi sono stati descritti in modo superficiale e perché c’era poca luce sui piatti.
Ritorneremo.
