03/06/2026: Old-fashioned restaurant. It's not a welcoming atmosphere. The service was polite. The owner offers dishes, probably those that suit him. Grilled shrimp with cocktail sauce, likely store-bought. Barely warm ravioli with a Barilla-style tomato sauce. A place to avoid.

11/05/2026: A well-appointed restaurant in the historic center of Cagliari. The interior is immaculately clean and harks back to Cagliari's traditional style. The staff is polite, kind, and hospitable; we were greeted in the dining room by Roberto, who displayed great professionalism. In the kitchen, Chef Marco and his assistant, Matteo, created excellent dishes, from appetizers to first courses, second courses, and desserts. The freshest seafood and meat products were prepared to perfection. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

08/06/2026: As a guest at a wedding, my menu was vegan, requested well in advance. I was worried from the start about the dishes I'd be served, but I was reassured by the chef's expertise.
My appetizers were: fried potatoes and battered vegetables, then two plain first courses of zucchini and peppers, and then zucchini again. The second course was a "delicious" dish of roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables. The end.
In 2026, with all the ways to get information, it's embarrassing and ridiculous to serve such a dinner in such a renowned and expensive place. This menu cost the newlyweds €100.
01/06/2026: Last Saturday, my husband and I celebrated our wedding at Locanda di Baccalamanza. The location was fabulous, the staff was incredibly professional and eager to accommodate our requests. Not to mention the food was spectacular. Thanks again to Antonella and Enrico and all their staff.

24/07/2026: We stopped for dinner along the way and found a welcoming place that perfectly complemented its surroundings. The cuisine offers a variety of options, some of which are unique. Excellent ceviche, spectacular grilled octopus, and spectacular fregola and lobster spaghetti. We loved the ambiance so much that we returned two days later for the afternoon. The daytime service is just as excellent as the evening one, and the option of dining right on the beach is the icing on the cake. Recommended for those seeking relaxation and pampering.

15/07/2026: Found by chance while strolling through the Marina neighborhood. What a pleasant surprise! The somewhat modest entrance doesn't give away the intimate, refined atmosphere. The dishes are noteworthy, and the experience is definitely worth repeating for a more thorough review.
09/06/2026: It's been a while since I've eaten here, but I'll definitely be back soon. I chose the menu with eight courses plus dessert and a bottle of white wine.
I was full and happy to have savored several dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The menu could have ended sooner. I was already full a few courses before the end, but I wanted to try the last few as well, and I wasn't disappointed!
Everything was delicious: top-quality ingredients and exceptional cuisine. The attentive service and the quiet, elegant, and intimate atmosphere were an added bonus that made a normal evening with friends perfect.

04/07/2026: We were served immediately, the pizzas were superb, the service was truly excellent, fast, and professional. The location was beautiful, but above all, it was very cheap compared to other places around, and the quality is still high.
30/06/2026: I had already booked a couple of days in advance, but when we arrived there was no reservation. They sorted it out right away, however, by placing us at a table for four, even though there were six of us. On the plus side, we ate excellent pizza. Perhaps they could use more decent tables, since ours consisted of two different tables, and above all, good knives. A word of advice: perhaps let them know that there is only the outdoor dining area.

22/05/2026: The hotel is well-located and central, yet we were able to park on the street every day without any problems. It's nicely renovated and comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant because we went on a day trip to the beautiful beaches of Sardinia. We would definitely return.
22/05/2026: The central location is excellent for the feast of Sant'Egidio on May 1st.
The breakfast isn't the best, it's standard. But the staff is always helpful. The rooms aren't bad, a little dated but comfortable. Antique in the beautiful sense.
In any case, there are some valuable collectibles. Kudos to the owner for that.

13/03/2026: Even though there wasn't one, we asked for a daily menu and they accommodated us at a fixed price. Everything was delicious. I would put a TV or some music on, as it was too quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

03/06/2026: Dinner for two on a trip, the staff were kind and attentive. The food was good and beautifully presented. Fresh fish and generous, light pizzas. The atmosphere was family-friendly and well-maintained. The owner, Mr. Aiana, was very kind and helpful, offering us their own myrtle liqueur. The garden was lovely. The price was reasonable. Recommended!

La Pirata 2-la vendetta

18/07/2026: We were welcomed by Graziano, a maître d' of rare elegance, kindness, and professionalism. With his smile and attention to detail, he escorted us to a table with a breathtaking view of the splendid Marina Corta. The soft lighting, the sea as a backdrop, and a romantic and refined atmosphere made the evening special from the very first moment.
We trusted his advice completely, and we couldn't have made a better choice.
The entrée was a delicious squid ink arancini, crispy on the outside.
This was followed by an appetizer that won us over: creamed fava beans with baby cuttlefish. The baby cuttlefish were incredibly tender, literally melting in our mouths.
Then came a simply impeccable fried calamari, octopus, and vegetables: dry, light, crispy, and never heavy. A fried dish where the authentic flavor of the fish took center stage, enhanced by perfect cooking. To round out the meal, a tuna caponata, rich in flavor, balanced, and profoundly Sicilian.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a photo of the first course... but it would have been a shame to interrupt that moment. A red mullet ragù perfectly encapsulated the philosophy of the kitchen: simplicity, technique, and absolute respect for the ingredients.
Finally, two desserts rounded out the dinner in the best possible way.
A blancmange that brought us back to the authentic flavors of Sicilian tradition...delicate, fresh. And finally, a cream puff with white chocolate and apple, where the sweetness of the chocolate met the freshness and lightness of the apple, creating a refined and surprising contrast.
Compliments to the entire staff and a special thanks to Graziano, whose professionalism made an already beautiful evening even more memorable.

If you're looking for a culinary experience that combines the freshness of local seafood with refined creativity, "Al Pirata" in Lipari is a must-visit. The refined and elegant setting, and the enchanting seafront atmosphere make it the ideal place for a special evening. Special praise goes to the staff, who are truly courteous and attentive to every need. The quality of the ingredients is unquestionable, and every dish reflects the passion of the chef. I'll definitely be back!

03/08/2026: Fish tasting menu for €45, drinks excluded. Seafood spaghetti was good, only mussels and clams were good. Fried calamari was average, it looked like the one from a bag. Chips were undercooked. Sorbet and coffee were served with the menu. Not worth the money.
