27/06/2025: Tasty dishes (mostly seafood), fresh ingredients (fish was from the catch of the day), nice atmosphere and personnel. We had dinner here both days while in Gallipoli. Definitely not a tourist trap.
26/06/2025: A completely overrated place, in my opinion! We ordered the tasting menu, and it left us somewhat indifferent. The service was a bit unfriendly, and they brought our dishes practically at the same time, which meant we didn't enjoy the meal because we had to eat as quickly as possible so the dishes wouldn't get cold. Quite disappointing because we had high expectations. Still, the place is beautiful and the wine was delicious, which is why I'm giving it three stars.

12/06/2025: Totally by chance we ended up at this restaurant for lunch this afternoon.
It was very quiet, the gentleman was sitting outside on his terrace and looked around.
When he noticed us he came to us, the calm and friendliness itself, with advice, clear explanation and attention for us.
We had a fantastic lunch, the waitress and the lady herself were also very hospitable and had an eye for us as guests. The portions were large, we were given the leftovers carefully packed to take home.
And that in a tourist town, you don't expect it (anymore).
A unique meeting and experience that we will always remember with emotion and much pleasure.
Thank you dear people of Portolano!!!

Servizio curato e professionale, grazie Francesco!, e grande empatia con il proprietario Sig Paolo, sempre disponibile e aperto a mettere le persone a proprio agio. Grazie sempre! 01/07/2025: Small restaurant in the center of Gallipoli we ate very well in particular I focus on the seafood salad that in addition to the freshness of the ingredients was also spiced to perfection to absolutely take, prices slightly above average but repaid by the quality, friendly and kind staff they offered us bitter and sorbet; If you pass by Gallipoli stop by.

10/06/2025: A very good restaurant, with locals, that's unmistakable. Efficient service and impeccable prices.
We had a lemon sea bass, a seafood starter, very fresh. The owner lends his hand in a good mood. I recommend it.
09/06/2025: In the center of Gallipoli, among the charming and cute streets, the very pleasant restaurant. The staff very friendly and welcoming. We ate in 2 people for dinner, 2 appetizers and 2 first courses, we paid an average price. I recommend it to everyone.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for a long time and I can only confirm the excellence of the fish: always fresh, cooked with care and served in generous portions. Each dish is an explosion of authentic flavors, from raw fish to spaghetti allo scoglio. The staff is friendly, helpful and makes you feel at home right away. A place to return to again and again. Highly recommended!

20/06/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nella Gallipoli "nuova", in una via non molto di passaggio.
Il proprietario è molto attento nello spiegare i piatti, ricercati ma con porzioni abbondanti.
Attenzione per intolleranza al lattosio.
Ottimo antipasto di mare caldo e il polpo con crema di fave e erbette.
Lo consiglio!!!
06/05/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo in una calda giornata di maggio da Olga.
Il nostro tavolo si trovava nella veranda esterna dove con una temperatura perfetta abbiamo goduto di piatti della tradizione presentati in maniera sublime con ottime materie prime.
I crudi, in particolare seppia e gambero spettacolari, notevole anche il primo piatto con ragù di polpo.
Se tornassi a Gallipoli certamente riandrei da Olga per assaggiare altri piatti del menù.

07/06/2025: Abbiamo cenato a base di antipasto di pesce a buffet che sapeva di aceto e quello grigliato di ghisa(lasciato a metà). Ordinato pizza e fritto misto che non sono arrivati nello stesso momento, praticamente ho finito la pizza ( buona a parte un po carbonizzato sul contorno) ed è arrivato il fritto( troppo cotto perciò duro). La cameriera bionda e riccia, sempre gentile.

12/06/2025: Al Pescatore is the perfect place to enjoy the freshest fish in a welcoming atmosphere.
The dishes are very well-prepared: the raw seafood is always fresh and the chef Luciano's specialties such as paccheri with grouper and sgonfiotto filled with burrata and red shrimp are impeccable. The service is courteous and attentive, the quality-price ratio is excellent. Ideal for any occasion to have a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
12/06/2025: The hotel was truly beautiful – we received a warm welcome and had a wonderful room with a view of the harbor. The service at the hotel was excellent overall, everything was fine.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was a completely different experience: chaotic service, overpriced food, and then we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. This unfortunately significantly spoils the overall impression.
Conclusion: We'd happily return to the hotel – but we certainly won't go to the restaurant again.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful – a warm welcome and a splendid room with a view of the harbor. The service at the hotel was also impeccable, completely perfect.
Purtroppo il ristorante is in an old story: served with coffee, served at a cost of 1.5 ore per cigarette. Questo ha rovinato un po’ l’esperienza complessiva.
Conclusion: torneremmo volentieri all’hotel – ma al ristorante sicuramente no.
