18/07/2025: A kitsch and unglamorous place. As you enter, you're greeted by the original armor of Lancelot, the famous Knight of the Round Table. The interior is no less impressive: shelves packed with knick-knacks and various furnishings, including a proud-looking eagle statue, a miniature sailing ship ready to set sail into the unknown, and even a replica of a fish fossil. A charm reminiscent of a treasure trove of memories. However, the atmosphere quickly becomes... torrid. The air conditioning, if present, seems more like a summer memory than a current reality, leaving guests immersed in an enveloping heat that turns dinner into a mini-test of endurance. Making the experience even more memorable is the persistent presence of a swarm of mosquitoes, which join the diners with perhaps excessive hospitality. That said, it's only right to highlight the quality of the food served: excellent, high-quality, and expertly prepared fish. The service and welcome are attentive and professional. Prices are average for Milan.

08/04/2025: Tornato in questo ristorante che però a distanza di un anno non ha cambiato il menù (prevalentemente a base di pesce). Ambiente un po’ cupo (arredamento scuro), staff cortese, cibo discreto. Gustato come piatto principale un trancio di spada alla messinese ( con olive, capperi e pomodorini) preceduto da un antipasto di code di gamberi e calamaretti serviti tipo insalata di mare con senape, olive, ecc. Con acqua, coperto, bicchiere di vino e sconto the fork del 20% si sono pagati 35 euro a testa.

11/05/2025: Mi fermo qui, mentre sono di strada per tornare a casa. Non ho letto le recensioni.... Era ora di pranzo e dovevo aggiornare alcune cose del lavoro.... Entro, il locale è carino e il personale è gentile. A parte questo il resto da dimenticare.... risotto di mare costoso e mal fatto... Purtroppo.... Mangiare il pesce bene....? Da Carlo a Senigallia...👍 🇮🇹 ❤️ Giusto per fare un esempio. Comunque una foto rende bene l'idea. Pagato 24 euro per un risotto 🥘 non proprio mangiabile, acqua, caffè e coperto 3 euro.... Da dimenticare, mai più, cancellato dalla mappa. Mi dispiace, però la cucina è una cosa seria e per di più quella partenopea..... Migliorate molto, ma molto su qualità e prezzi e forse tornerò. Per ora bollino rosso anzi nero. 👎

08/08/2025: I stopped for lunch with a colleague on a tight schedule. The first course arrived at 12:30 PM, and at 1:30 PM, the pasta was raw and stuck to my roof of my mouth, and I even felt sick and sick. 30/06/2025: Unmöglich!! Leckeres Essen, angemessene Preise, ganz nett gestaltetes Lokal- allerdings ist das Verhalten des Inhabers völlig inakzeptabel!! Wir waren mit Freunden und unseren beiden Kindern im „Le Soste Al Mare E Non Solo“ und wollten dort einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen- bestellt wurden Pasta und Fischgerichte. Als nicht Fischesserin lachte mich das Risotto Milanese mit Ossobuco an- gestolpert bin ich dann aber über die englische Übersetzung, bei der „Fischrisotto“ und „ab 2 Personen bestellbar“ stand. Ich nahm zwar an, dass sich da vermutlich ein Fehler eingeschlichen hatte, wollte aber keine böse Überraschung erleben, indem es womöglich in dem Fischlokal eventuell eine abgewandelte Form des Klassikers geben könnte und fragte bei der Bestellung nach. „Beim Risotto Milanese ist kein Fisch dabei, richtig?“ „Nein, natürlich nicht!“ dann erlaubte ich ihn auf den Fehler in der Karte hinzuweisen- anstatt dies dankbar anzunehmen, wurde ich äußerst unfreundlich und genervt unterbrochen- ob ich das Risotto denn nun bestellen wolle oder nicht… ja, bitte… „eine Portion oder zwei?“ Ich wunderte mich etwas, da es laut Karte ja ein Gericht für mindestens 2 Personen sein sollte… auf meine überraschte Rückfrage, ob das auch möglich sei, wurde ich wiederum genervt unterbrochen und schnaufend wurde ein knappes „Ja, natürlich!“ erwidert! Alle am Tisch waren sehr irritiert. Mein (zugegebenermaßen sehr leckeres Gericht) kam als letztes- als sogar die Kinder schon längst mit dem Essen fertig waren. Selbstverständlich ohne irgendeine Begründung, geschweige denn Entschuldig… So geht man NICHT mit Gästen um!!

25/03/2025: Siamo capitati in questo ristorante di lunedì sera un po’ per caso ed è stata una piacevole scoperta! Il ristorante ha una piccola ma bella terrazza vista lago ed è molto familiare. Dopo poco ci siamo subito resi conto di aver fatto una buona scelta perché era frequentato da gente del posto, per niente turistico. Abbiamo ordinato Risotto all’Amarone (x2), branzino spadellato alla mediterranea, ma il piatto che più ci è piaciuto è il Luccio alla gardesana. Era davvero ottimo!! I secondi accompagnati da un buon calice di Lugana. Consigliamo questo ristorante per una buona cena dai sapori locali. Prezzo medio a persona 50-60€

17/03/2025: Wir waren mit acht Personen hier, um meinen Geburtstag nachzufeiern. Wir haben uns voll und ganz auf den Chef verlassen und uns auf seinen Menuvorschlag eingelassen. Eine fantastische Entscheidung. Ein gelungener Abend mit Antipasti, Risotto, Kürbisravioli, Fiorentina-Steak sowie verschiedenen Desserts. Toller Service der zu 100% gepasst hat. Alle Freunde waren begeistert, der Preis mehr als fair und wir werden wiederkommen. Lieben Dank noch einmal. Eine echte Empfehlung.

13/07/2025: The best pizza in Luino, and more. The seafood dishes are also excellent, as are the meat dishes. The owner watches over everything, adding a touch of lightness and courtesy. Prosecco is offered to all diners as an opening. Refinements from a bygone era, which are a delight.

12/07/2025: Pizza molto buona e grande! Prezzi abbastanza in linea per gli standard di Luino. La maggior parte delle pizze andavano dagli 11€ in su.

15/08/2025: We had a wonderful week here, and the breakfast is highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back anytime. Great with a dog, too. One thing to note: the hotel doesn't have any parking in the immediate vicinity. Nevertheless, there's a good shuttle service from the pick-up point.

20/06/2025: I was sitting in the restaurant, just settling in and trying to decide what to order. The food looked promising — presentation was clearly a priority. As I looked around, something caught my attention: the plants. They looked like they were struggling a bit in the heat. I thought, "Would it be possible to get a bit of water for them?" — not to cause trouble, just trying to help keep the space looking as nice as the food. When I asked, the atmosphere shifted noticeably. It felt like my question created friction. It seems like my request was taken the wrong way. Was there something about how I said it? Is there a reason that kind of request might be sensitive here? Just across the road, there’s another restaurant. The vibe over there is immediately more relaxed and welcoming — the kind of place that makes you want to linger. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to eat there this time. Still, I left wondering: What kind of culture is the team here trying to build? Because the food shows promise — it’s just the warmth that was missing.
