04/02/2026: After much deliberation, due to the numerous bad reviews, I finally gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Indeed, the much-discussed old man is sitting proudly at the entrance, watching television. And yes, he does throw the cutlery on the table. No offense intended; he's seen it all before, and this is just his way of doing things. Inside, someone is eating just a plate of fries, another still has his coat and hat on, and yet another's dog is lying on the couch. If this isn't your style, then stay away. I, for one, feel right at home. This is an Italian restaurant as it should be. Genuine, pure, original, no frills, no fancy stuff. A waiter arrives after me, half an hour late. Another half hour later, another waiter. Half an hour later, a new person gives me a sweet snack. Meanwhile, the old man has refilled my wine. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. The food is delicious, fresh, simple, and affordable. The kitchen is working at top speed. This is quality, honest food, and a cozy atmosphere with real Italians. Appreciate these kinds of places; they're a dying breed. Highly recommended by Hollandstadt.

17/02/2026: We visited this restaurant a couple of Saturdays ago. There wasn't a wine under €50 available (despite the menu offering €25/30 bottles), and the service was pretentious but incompetent. The capon magro was just vegetables and very little fish. The main course was average, but still not worth the expense. It's the first time I've had neither dessert nor coffee in a restaurant; it was a terrible evening. Perfect for tourists.

26/07/2025: Bel ristorante proprio all'inizio della zona pedonale del paese, con bellissima vista sul mare. Piatti di pesce molto buoni, servizio giovane, attento, molto gentile e disponibile.

27/12/2025: Overall the food is very good with fresh fish but the problem that made me give 4 stars instead of 5 is that for 5 people we paid a lot but that's normal yes you could see that the environment and the place from the outside was very expensive but we ate well and the service is very friendly

17/02/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS: A real tourist trap! An absolute disgrace from start to finish. If you value your money and your stomach, walk right past them. The dish (A blatant rip-off): An €18 "Octopus with Potatoes" that borders on insulting. The octopus is tasteless, probably thrown into the water without any preparation, accompanied by undercooked potatoes. Zero seasoning, ridiculously small portion. We're promised a "hearty" meal, we get a "mediocre" one. The drinks: A Hugo cocktail served with blackened and damaged lemons. Serving expired or rotting products at this price is simply unacceptable. The service: A young waiter with glasses who has the friendliness of a malfunctioning robot. No welcome, no smile, no consideration. You feel like you're bothering them. The setting: Old-fashioned, chairs with holes in them... you wonder where the customers' money goes. The bill: Over €57 for two mediocre starters and two cocktails, plus a €2.50 "service charge" (a joke considering the poor service). Soulless food, nonexistent service, and exorbitant prices for mediocre quality. Don't waste your evening here; there are much better options for less money.

31/12/2025: We've been going to this restaurant for over twenty years, on average once a year. It's the only restaurant in Alassio we've been to and where we can honestly say we've never been disappointed. The dishes are authentic, the fresh fish of the day prepared Ligurian-style is perfect, and so much more. Highly recommended.

21/09/2025: Dinner for my birthday 🎂🎉🎁 excellent Greek-style octopus, very soft. Tuna with pistachios, discreet service, location a stone's throw from the 🌊 I recommend it

18/02/2026: A wonderful Valentine's Day celebration with friends: we ate delicious pizza, drank well, and sang all evening with the karaoke they organized for the evening. The venue is very central, near the main square in Finale Ligure, and very comfortable and welcoming. Fabulous hospitality, with owners and staff always smiling. We'll definitely be back very soon. Congratulations!!!

06/01/2026: Last day of our weekend in Finale Ligure and I must say a pleasant surprise for this place, Friendliness, friendliness, but above all excellent dishes and careful attention to the choice of raw materials. Coming from Turin we returned home with full bellies, but above all with the right balance, quality/price. I recommend this place to everyone and congratulations again to the owners for their friendliness and kindness towards us.

13/01/2026: Pietra, a small, intimate village that doesn't deserve places like this, not so much for the type and location of the place, which is also positive, but for the owner, "I would say" arrogant, annoying, and unfriendly. I would see her well in Piedmont, or perhaps she's even like that in those places. No offense, but I know that attitude towards outsiders, having traveled a lot, but we were all from the area. In summary: Pizza 1, ham to forget, tomato, oh well... waitress 5, because she has to work, cashier (alleged owner/manager) ZERO. Review internally and physically.

06/01/2026: This review is for the restaurant only (not the hotel). Very poor service, extremely long wait times, and the waitress who served us (perhaps the owner? Or at least one of the restaurant managers) was rude and unfriendly. The food was good, but the aforementioned issues were significant. At the tables around us, we saw her twice send pizzas back because they weren't the ones we ordered. In short, there's a lot of room for improvement, to be polite.

13/03/2026: For a ”pizzeria” the quality of pizza is extremely low as they serve frozen pizza dough that was burnt. You can get better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. Also calculated the bill way higher than it should have been. Luckily we noticed and didnt get scammed.

13/03/2026: The pizzas were small and not very good; at the end they tried to charge us €95 instead of €83. We are international students and I find that very unfair…

28/05/2025: Ristorante sul lungo mare, perfetto per mangiare mentre fai una passeggiata in tranquillità. Qualità del cibo ottima, tartare di tonno freschissima e i primi si ha l’imbarazzo della scelta, tutti molto buoni. Da non perdere anche i dolci soprattutto il tiramisù. Personale molto cordiale e ospitale. In conclusione, consiglio vivamente questo ristorante

25/05/2025: Locale molto carino. Prenotato qualche giorno prima tavolo esterno poi serata freddina passati all’interno senza nessun problema. Piatti di alta qualità. Qualche piccola sbavatura ma nel complesso consigliatissimo.
