26/06/2025: It is no longer the restaurant of the past with the owner who went around the tables with courtesy and competence. We were there last night, 06/26/2025, with some friends and their children to say goodbye in view of the summer. Our children, 7-year-olds, were making a bit of a racket, but the reaction of the waiter and the manager was such that we decided to leave immediately, even though there were no people who were annoyed and the restaurant did not have those premises of a grand gourmet that justified it. They were rude and not very polite. Furthermore, the food was mediocre. What a shame!

12/10/2025: We arrived from Spain. We ended up in this town by chance to spend the night. The service was spectacular, the pizzas were spectacular. 100% recommended.

14/08/2025: The place is very comfortable. I usually go there both when the weather is good and when it's not. When it's sunny you can go around there for a walk after a good meal, when it's cloudy you can enjoy a good wine "della casa" and a very good lounge soft music.

26/09/2025: A down-to-earth place where you can start your evening with a ricotta-filled calzone, then move on to good-quality pizzas, simple fish dishes, traditional Neapolitan first courses, and finish with a ricotta and pear dessert... I've been there several times and they always satisfy. Worth a try.

04/10/2025: Restaurant didn't already open when we arrived shortly after six? Split a pizza. Italian sausage was strangely pink colored? Crust was burnt in the bottom. Overall ok. Hard to know where to go when u are visiting, so we went here based on the reviews. It was ok.

18/09/2025: We had dinner here with family. The service was friendly and recommended the "catch of the day." One person chose the bream. Most dishes on the menu were around €24, so we expected a similar price. However, when we paid, the fish cost a whopping €102. After our complaint, they did deduct €22, but that still left us with €80 for a single main course – a completely unreasonable price compared to the rest of the menu, and without any prior explanation. We asked for an explanation and to speak to the owner, but he didn't show up. We shared appetizers, main courses, and desserts, and drank three bottles of wine. Everything was well-prepared, but this unpleasant surprise on the bill overshadowed the entire experience. Conclusion: friendly service, but no transparency in pricing. We feel misled and will not return.

09/09/2025: I've been back several times, being curious, so I've tried to vary everything, and it's always excellent. In addition to the set menu, you can choose à la carte, and the prices are appropriate for the setting. The only downside, if I may say so, is that the menu is tied to the catch of the day. 🤣🤣🤣❤️

09/09/2025: Informal restaurant. Tasty first courses that change daily depending on the catch. Fresh fish, perfectly cooked. Fair price, though far lower than any restaurant in the port of Anzio.

04/09/2025: Welcoming staff, but the quality was truly poor. The calamari appetizer was decent. The first courses were very elaborate and didn't bring out the flavor of the fish. The fried fish was awful and blatantly frozen. There were four of us: two appetizers, four first courses, one fried fish, and one dessert, four bottles of water, and one white wine (a satirical one), for the modest sum of €60 per person. I'm sorry to say this, but I won't be returning.

01/09/2025: When we're in Ponza, we never miss an evening on Gennarino's splendid terrace. A welcoming, family atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and traditional cuisine with a touch of innovation. Try the new summer dish, Pasta alla Gennarino! Prices are in line with the location. Highly recommended.

20/09/2025: Pizzeria and more... I had the carbonara with mezze maniche and really crispy guanciale... excellent dish, plus a truly remarkable zucchini flower stuffed with ricotta and anchovies. Fairly priced.

10/10/2025: Truly Spartan, unpretentious, and pleasantly served by the all-female staff... The fish is obviously incredibly fresh at unbeatable prices. A variety of options are available, with fixed-price menus that meet every diner's expectations... It's worth it.

10/09/2025: Il Sogno del Mare is always a guarantee. Update 09.10.2025 Everything was perfect, from the food to the service, from the staff to the professional and friendly owners. This time we enjoyed appetizers of shrimp tartare with stracciatella and black truffle bubbles, scampi tartare with pine nuts and lime zest, and fried baby octopus and anchovies. For the first course, an excellent Vesuvius pasta with bacon, prawns, and pecorino cheese. All accompanied by a "mio deserto Bastia" prosecco from Valdobbiadene, with a fine perlage and a pleasantly fruity aroma. To finish, chocolates and a good Mantovani "Caramel Salato" liqueur. A good value. Truly a Dream.........of the Sea as a restaurant and beach resort Update June 25, 2020 Everything has remained the same as in previous years: the welcome, service, quality of cuisine, and professionalism, naturally excellent. 21/10/2025: A real joke, pizza delivered late, not the one I ordered, without my fries, I call and they tell me to wait for the replacement of the pizza, instead they arrive after an hour with cold raw fries, especially without sauces, a real disappointment for me, very negative review

10/10/2025: Bad experience. Neapolitan pizza is something else entirely. I make it better at home with my Effeuno oven, but much better!

19/10/2025: Birthday table. 18 people. Seated at 8:30 PM, first pizza served at 10:15 PM. Despite my complaints, when I booked, I specified if there were any problems since it was Saturday. Answer: NO PROBLEM. Another sore point was that the last pizzas, around 10:35 PM, were small. So, the pizza was good, but the staff was disorganized and unprofessional. Last but not least, the cutlery and plates for the cake were delivered intermittently. For those reading this, after that, would you go back to eat pizza after a two-hour wait?

13/09/2025: As a Neapolitan I can say that it is an excellent pizza, the atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, the staff is very kind, when we pass through Gaeta it will become a regular stop
