01/06/2026: It is a restaurant that could use an internal renovation, it is located in an exceptional spot between Formia and Minturno a very short distance from the sea, very large parking, plenty of outdoor space with tables and a beautiful spacious indoor room, excellent for ceremonies, events and parties in general, the owner Raffaele is a very kind and wonderful person, very helpful and always ready to satisfy every need of the customer, a true gentleman and host supported by his children for years, with great satisfaction manages with a simple and authentic catering, (although in old restaurant style) to delight with the freshness of the products and the good preparation of his cuisine, the specialty of the house first and foremost is the freshness of the fish, all strictly fresh caught of the day, in fact you will never find the same things and above all each product in its seasonal period, excellent seafood appetizer rich in everything and seasoned with a delicious locally produced Itrane olive oil, two excellent first courses: linguine with lobster and Formiana style, an excellent grilled fish always enriched with a drizzle of oil that It further enhances the freshness of the fish and the flavor of the grill and the aroma of the good local extra virgin olive oil. The side dishes are a bit limited and could use some improvement. The wine selection is limited and, in my opinion, could be slightly expanded and selected. The fresh seasonal fruit is also a bit disappointing. The dessert selection could be improved with a few more high-quality pastries, offering a more selective and delicious selection. The classic gelato confionati are classic, but I recommend the white truffle gelato dipped in hot bitter coffee, a splendid and delicious combination that will surely delight you. The coffee is good, and the excellent Amaro Abruzzese liqueur, served nicely chilled, enhances its flavor. Congratulations to Raffaele, who has carried on this business with dedication and tenacity for many years, always with the same spirit and love for cooking and delighting his customers. 11/05/2026: Food was old , dry and cold. I requested to heat it up but still the gyoza wrapper was so hard nit edible. The stuffs were extremely rude, specially one guy. Worst experience. I went because it was the only Asian restaurant I could find there and their tagline says happily handmade. What nonsense!

11/06/2026: The prices is cheaper than the more central restaurants in piaza navona. Already, the owners of these restaurants are relative. I ate pizza buffolini. It was good but I wait like twenty minutes and athmosphere is not as good as the other restaurants I went. Finally, the waiters are a little rude and they think you know italian.

24/05/2026: Avoid this place. The staff is pushy to get you in. The food is not good. My son ordered sea bass. I am not sure what fish he got, but it was not sea bass. It was horribly fishy and we could not eat it. The artichokes were okay at best. My wife’s chicken was flat and dry. The meatballs were good. It is also overpriced. At the end, the waiter asked if we wanted to leave a tip on the card (it is not just Asians as another reviewer suggested). This was the worst dining experience I have ever had in Rome.

11/06/2026: Even though it would have much more power, it's still been used as a location at least a couple of times in the cinema (Acqua e Sapone with Verdone, Windsurfing Il Vento Tra Le Mani, and a more recent one with Gassman's son). It's a shame, for example, not to display the photo of Acqua e Sapone when they filmed there with Verdone and Hovey, for example. Returning to the place, I've read exaggerated reviews: the prices are very low and the portions very generous, even a bit too large, perhaps the quality isn't the best, that's for sure.

01/05/2026: I was very disappointed by the treatment I received at this restaurant. Today, May 1st, 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM. Despite the beautiful location on the lake, the service (specifically, from a blond, light-eyed, slightly stout young man at the bar) was unacceptable. I asked for a table for lunch three times, 30 and 40 minutes apart. Each time, I was told the place was full. However, looking out the windows, I could see more than 20 seats available. The worst thing is that, while I was denied entry, I saw other people enter and be seated without issue. I also asked some customers who were leaving if they had reservations, and they confirmed they had none. Being ridiculed like this is truly unpleasant. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for honesty and hospitality.

23/03/2026: Restaurant inside the Mercure Rome Fiumicino hotel. Spacious atmosphere and average menu. Amatriciana and cacio e pepe are perhaps a little lighter in flavor than true Roman tradition. The restaurant also offers pizza. Courteous and helpful staff. Good coffee and a friendly and helpful barista.

10/11/2025: Terrible experience. We felt sick. I hate to write this review because the staff was really kind. After almost an hour of waiting, we ordered sautéed mussels, a mixed fried fish to share, and a bottle of wine. Aside from the price, which was truly too high for the small portion we ordered, the sautéed mussels were unthinkable: some mussels were raw (never happened before) and the sauce was off. We felt sick all day.

25/10/2025: A mystical experience. It felt like being in an episode of "Nightmare Kitchen." Slow service, waiters insulting each other, and subpar food. The location alone is worth it.

02/06/2026: I stopped in almost by chance for an aperitivo and was pleasantly surprised. The aperitivo was excellent and not at all predictable, with many excellent tastings. The owners were very kind, highly recommended.

31/05/2026: Thanks to Daniele, my partner, my brother, and I were able to try Zi Amalia's specialties this week. Delicious montanare, just like the ones my mom used to make, and special spritzes with new and untried flavors.
