This time it was really mediocre. Service inattentive, long waiting times between courses, small portions. It can only get better!

04/08/2024: La bottega del Franco is a restaurant in the heart of residential Bologna. A mix of Bolognese traditions and top-level special fish cuisine. I ate the best risotto ever with tuna steak, prawns and courgette flowers, a truly special and super filling dish! The desserts are interesting and unique, the ice cream made by them is very very good. Super service and normal prices for this level. We will definitely be back.

26/07/2024: My wife and I have had different experiences. I ate well, she didn't. The starter with brioche and creamed cod was excellent, a perfect balance between sweet and savory. The black rigatoni with courtyard ragù was good. The roasted octopus was too salty. The hazelnut filled cream puff was excellent, the meringue dessert was too sweet, according to my wife. The place is nice and welcoming, the prices high but not too much. For a starter, a first course, a second course, 2 glasses of wine, a water, 2 desserts and 2 coffees, we spent 108 euros, which in my opinion is a fair price.

22/07/2024: Nous avons passé une belle soirée. Nous avons partagé deux entrées (une assiette de mortadelle très fournie et une assiette de bruschettas), très bon ! Mon compagnon a ensuite pris une tagliata di manzo avec du gorgonzola fondu, très savoureux ! Et moi les gambas grillés, très bon aussi ! Nous avons terminé par un tiramisu (attention, il est à la crème). Les vins au verre étaient très bien aussi.

02/07/2024: Very nice and welcoming place, as well as perfect welcome and service throughout the dinner. Food prepared and cooked with great skill, perhaps a marked and excessive acidity in almost all courses. Exceptional dessert. To try.

18/06/2024: Staying in the hotel due to its proximity to the Bellaria hospital we often went to this restaurant inside. We found it to be a relaxing and elegant environment, much appreciated after a day of exams and analyses. The staff is friendly and courteous, helpful and very professionally trained. The extra push for excellence is given by the magnificent and delicious dishes prepared by the chef. There is always an eye on the seasonality of raw materials and the territory. The wine list is also excellent, featuring wines from all Italian regions and a small selection of foreign wines

27/07/2024: Sono andato una prima volta e non mi hanno accolto perché hanno detto che “non si poteva prendere un drink e non si poteva prendere un caffè” un posto che sull’insegna ha scritto anche “lounge bar”. Essendo uno dei pochi con tavoli liberi decido cmq di tornare poco dopo e mettermi seduto. Cibo pessimo e personale maleducato, da evitare come la peste.

01/08/2024: Excellent fish restaurant in the center of Bologna, less than 10 minutes from Piazza Maggiore. Menu large enough to meet all needs: the mixed raw seafood and the "royal gratin" are highly recommended. Extensive wine list with limited mark-ups. Attentive but discreet service. Reservations are recommended given the limited number of tables.

14/11/2023: Impeccable service, excellent quality food at an appropriate price. Not to be missed. Returned and again fully satisfied. Excellent octopus starter. Unsurpassed are the spaghetti with clams (home-made pasta from the press) Excellent desserts in generous portions. Service as always impeccable, attentive and friendly. Even more than ever not to be missed. Unfortunately, it has closed permanently since 05/11/2023 😢

21/07/2024: Ci siamo fermati all’Hotel Donatello per una sosta di viaggio ed abbiamo voluto cenare al Ristorante Donatello. Sale ampie e funzionali, servizio cortese ed efficiente. Ci siamo divisi un tagliere piccolo di salumi e prosciutto: abbondante per essere una porzione singola, accompagnata da ottimi gnocchi fritti. Poi mia moglie una tagliata, io un piatto di ravioli ,dalla forma di piramidi, molto ben accompagnati da melanzane e formaggio; purtroppo non ricordo il nome del piatto che consiglio . Gustoso e dall’interessante impiattamento. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

01/07/2024: nice nice restaurant, the food is very good, I personally had a pizza with pistachio, mortadella and buffalo mozzarella and it was very good. They have a great mirror for taking photos.

01/08/2024: Ambiente raffinato, personale gentile e professionale, menu ricercato e per tutti i gusti. Ho preso due portate ed erano tutte squisite. Raccomando caldamente questa location sia per una cena di affari, in famiglia o romantica.
