02/11/2025: Dishonest people, we didn't have a good experience. We agreed on the price per person over the phone, but then they showed up with a much higher bill. I don't recommend it due to the lack of transparency.

The service and quality of the food are excellent, with an elegant touch. Ms. Paola is truly skilled at understanding her guests' needs and transforming them into thoughtful gestures.

Service is minimal at best; you’ll find yourself chasing staff for basic requests, only to be asked for a tip afterward. With so many better beach clubs on Capri now, this one no longer earns a spot in the top 3.

11/10/2025: If you enjoy being overcharged for mediocre food and ignored by staff, this is your spot. Otherwise, save your money and your day — go literally anywhere else on Capri. La Fontelina is exactly as others have said: beautiful setting, terrible everything else. The service is practically nonexistent unless you chase someone down, and even then, it’s indifferent at best. From the moment I arrived, I wanted to leave — but I was already nearly €100 in for various cover charges and “fees.” Despite having a reservation for the “beach club,” they make you eat lunch at the restaurant, where they tack on another €6 “cover” per person on top of the €50 for general access — for what, exactly, is unclear. The food was disappointing: overcooked shrimp, bland ravioli I could make better myself, and overpriced drinks. Then come the endless extras — you pay separately for the chair, the towel, the mat, even the boat shuttle. Would not recommend.

24/10/2025: We were just sitting in a restaurant where, to our surprise, we had to pay tax just to be seated—something they hadn't told us beforehand. The portions were small, and the staff seemed unfriendly and unhelpful. All in all, not a pleasant experience, although the beautiful view made up for it somewhat.

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, I have to report a terrible experience at your restaurant. I ordered fried fish, which turned out to be of poor quality, with an unpleasant flavor, a strong smell of used oil, and a texture that suggested it was not fresh. The dish was completely out of line with the price paid, which I consider excessive for what was served. When I reported it, I received a rude and impolite response from the owner, which further degraded the evening. I'm sorry to have to leave this kind of comment, but I think it's right to highlight such a negative experience out of respect for the customers. I think they can close down!

15/02/2026: Despite having booked a table for a specific time, we had to wait another hour standing. We ordered a diavola, a rossa with sausage, a portion of tiramisu, and a 66cl Ichnusa beer for a total of €41.00!! Burnt pizza and unjustified bill. Very expensive pizzas, Ichnusa €7.00. I highly recommend it.

12/02/2026: On Saturday, February 7, 2026, we arrived at 9:00 PM. It's now 10:26 PM and we haven't heard anything about the pizzas. The pizzas arrived at 10:45 PM, and not all at once. The significant delay was caused not only by our table (there were 6 of us) but also by other customers. Reason?: They used the method of having one pizza at the table for every 3-4 takeout pizzas. Furthermore, in 2026, it's strange that the order details, therefore the pre-bill, are arranged in such a way as to leave doubts about how the final bill is determined. Obviously, I kept the pre-bill and the final receipt. Finally, some pizzas were good, others had been cooked too quickly and at a high heat, so they had some burn marks on the top and were still a little raw inside.

24/09/2025: Ate at the restaurant here. Had the best raviolis ever in my life. Stopped here from our private boat tour from Sorrento. Fabulous. Service was amazing. Really expensive. You really start to see the prices go up the closer you get to Capri and positano. Worth the spend but most likely wouldn’t stay here.

22/09/2025: staff very rude, went on a boat trip day here and felt forced to eat. staff told us if we wasn’t to eat it would require €100 per person to access capri town which now we have found out this is a lie. they were very shocked none of me or my friends liked fish food and was extremely rude and looked down their nose at us, especially the man in the grey blazer with grey hair, mocked our accent and made us feel very little, we left without ordering as we felt trapped and very unsafe - do not recconmend

24/09/2025: Our experience at this restaurant was overshadowed by what felt like an unfair practice. We chose the tasting menu, which cost around €370 in total. When it came to selecting the wine, we trusted the staff’s recommendation, expecting something balanced and in line with the meal. However, the suggested bottle ended up costing €400 — more expensive than the entire food itself. At a restaurant of this level, there should be full transparency, especially when staff are making recommendations. Guests should always be made aware of the price range before such an expensive bottle is served. This left us with the impression of abuse and a lack of care towards the customer. The food was fine, but the way the wine was handled completely ruined the experience.

22/03/2026: Looked like a decent place, and had higher reviews on TripAdvisor, though should have noticed many were very old reviews. Nice enough waiter. Had bruschetta, one piece of toasted bread with tomatoes on it, nothing else? Not every flavor. Only redeeming quality was the buffalo mozzarella. For my entree, spaghetti with seafood. Flavor of the sauce was good, but most the seafood was overcooked and rubbery. When in went to pay, they cold me the card reader wasn’t working. I had euros, so fine, gave it to them and then he showed me an empty til and said they had no charge. It was only a 4 euro difference and I didn’t have the energy to fight over it, so I just ate the 4 euros. Would not recommend. Overpriced food and scammy feeling at the end.

06/01/2026: We visited this restaurant last night, passing through the streets of Salerno to see the Christmas lights. Mr. Mimmo showed us the various menus as we passed, and on our way back, we stopped. What can I say? We made an excellent choice! We ordered the fish menu, delicious, with generous portions, but above all, the fish was fresh and cooked to order. I highly recommend anyone who happens to be in Salerno to stop and savor the delicacies of this restaurant.

07/03/2026: The food, service, and atmosphere were terrible. It was cold inside, and we were offered a choice of dishes, including some rather nauseating fried fish. The portions were tiny (when we asked for second helpings of fries, they were almost counted), and the fish seemed almost raw. The staff was almost always rude. This was definitely an experience we wouldn't repeat. It's worth noting that we were kids on a school trip who had to spend the entire afternoon walking.
