27/04/2025: Per un’esperienza “totalizzante” su piatti di pesce, questo è “the place to be”, il posto dove andare. La qualità del cibo, l’attenzione con la quale verrete serviti e l’ambiente raffinato sono gli elementi che mi hanno colpito fin dalla mia prima visita. La varietà del menù accontenterà tutti gli amanti del pesce, dal crudo al cotto per concludere con dolci speciali e fatti al momento (come il tiramisù).

23/04/2025: Il 14 settembre 2024 abbiamo festeggiato il nostro matrimonio in questa meravigliosa location, e non potevamo desiderare di meglio. Fin dal primo incontro con Davide, Stefania ed Eva ci siamo sentiti ascoltati, accolti e guidati con una professionalità che non perde mai il calore umano. Ogni dettaglio, dalla cena di prova al grande giorno, è stato curato con attenzione e passione. Lo staff è stato incredibilmente disponibile, attento ad ogni nostra esigenza e sempre pronto a proporre idee originali che hanno reso l’evento davvero unico. Il clima era accogliente e cordiale, un perfetto equilibrio tra familiarità e grande competenza. Abbiamo scelto insieme il menù, lo abbiamo provato in anticipo e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti: ogni portata era una piccola opera d’arte, deliziosa e particolare. Un grande punto di forza è stata la sensibilità verso le esigenze alimentari degli ospiti — tra celiaci, vegetariani, intolleranze e allergie, tutti hanno ricevuto piatti dedicati, senza rinunciare alla qualità e alla creatività. Tra i momenti più divertenti, la composizione della torta fatta da noi sposi: un’idea bellissima che ha coinvolto gli invitati e regalato risate e partecipazione. La location è davvero magica, con un giardino curatissimo e una piscina che la sera, con le luci e le foto, ha creato un’atmosfera incantevole. A mezzanotte, i mitici panini "onti": un successo clamoroso! E il rito della sabbia, proposto dallo staff, è stato un momento simbolico e commovente che porteremo sempre con noi. Un’esperienza indimenticabile. Grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff per aver reso il nostro giorno perfetto!

03/07/2025: We entered. We waited. We left. No one even glanced at us. I understand that they had work but at least a hello. In response to their response. We were in no hurry and we were not looking for fast food. The staff, despite having seen us, did not pay any attention to us, welcoming in a very "different" way other regular customers who evidently knew them. However, a good morning or a response can be given even in times of great affluence.

01/07/2025: Good restaurant. The rooms need to be reviewed. The corridor between the floors is dark, not the best in terms of security either. The first room assigned looked like an ashtray. In the second room the air conditioner, rather dated, only cooled to the maximum. The noise was also at maximum... A sore point was the breakfast room, where the air conditioning was not turned on. With the windows open, outside temperature of 28 degrees and 90% humidity, after breakfast a second shower was needed. In response to the response from the Locanda: Ad Majora!

05/11/2025: We were delighted! I highly recommend this pizza, it's delicious!

01/11/2025: We stopped by in the morning just to warm up with coffee and tea. Nice, helpful staff. Nice place, and it's one of the few restaurants that was open at 8:30.

23/09/2025: The meat in the pasta carbonara and lasagna tasted strange, bad. The red wine was cold. I had to take some of the cutlery from the table next to me. It was a shame to waste one meal on a short vacation at this restaurant.

14/09/2025: Lovely location right on the pier, you can see boats coming and going while you have a drink or food. We had a salad, the bruschetta, and a pizza, and they did not disappoint. Lovely food and lovely staff.

08/11/2025: Excellent pizzas with a good choice of flavors and doughs, even the desserts are good and of their own production, kind and helpful staff, good prices, free parking nearby, easy entry with wheelchairs. Recommended

18/10/2025: Simple pizzeria, but thin and low pizza. Different doughs available.

25/10/2025: The rooms behind the reception have porter service. Please let us know your arrival time in advance. Some rooms have a back door and another entrance. Depending on the room location, you may need to climb one or two stairs. Breakfast is on the left, facing the reception. Please do not change your room assignment.

20/10/2025: Room smaller than it seem for a deluxe. You can hear all the noises from outside and other rooms. No privacy.

07/10/2025: I booked 2 weeks ago and they sold the room and left me without a room! Shameful

15/09/2025: We went to celebrate our friend's wedding and stayed at La Dogana. We had a perfect weekend! The hotel was very quiet and cozy, the rooms were very nice, and the staff was very friendly! A perfect place! Thank you so much for the service!

17/09/2025: Service good, pizzas acceptable. My own experience: Chicken salad - consisted of thin slivers of pre cooked chicken then fried into chewy cougons. I grimaced and immediately waiter was very responsive, took salad away and approached manager straight away. Manager brought out a whole batch of pre fried cougons and proceeded to eat one in front of me to show me that he thought it was acceptable. I just said a couple of words (equivalent to I don’t agree). No arguments. So the food was taken away. About 10 minutes later the manager emerged with a salad topped by freshly fried chicken. Clearly the restaurant is re frying yesterday’s chicken and serving to tourists if they can get away with it. A sign that this place has low standards. See photo. Chicken comparison can be seen as some old chicken was left on my salad by mistake. I compliment the management for not charging for my chicken salad. That is a good sign but the whole episode should not have happened.

16/09/2025: Friendly service, nice atmosphere. The food was delicious.

30/09/2025: I made a dinner reservation two months ahead of time and the restaurant confirmed the reservation. When my husband and I arrived, we were told they were closing in a hour for a private party. They never took the time to let me know ahead of time so I could secure another reservation. This was unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Then to just turn us away without even offering us a complimentary drink was even worse. All they said was I’m sorry but we will be closed. In this day with online reviews, I don’t understand how a restaurant could treat us so rudely. I showed them the confirmation email but they had nothing to say about it. Terrible customer service. 20/09/2025: Poor service, I went in to grab a table for drinks and potentially food where I was met with bad service and not interested in my business. I had 5 people on their way so we will go spend our hard earnt money somewhere else. Good location, that’s all they have going for them

06/10/2025: Quite okay. It just has something to do with my experiences and expectations: Waiters who don't put the plate in front of you, but hold it next to your table...!? :( A lasagna with no flavor... :( Bread so dry you can't even break it off... :( A tiramisu isn't a tiramisu if it's non-alcoholic, it has to say so on the menu!!!! Also, the glass of tiramisu consisted of HALF a biscuit, the other half was decoratively stuck into the mixture (of course, way too much!!!). My friend's pizza Diavolo was good, however, and worth the price, she said. She agrees with me on the other points. Drink prices were okay. I thought the still water was too expensive at €4, but the wine was good in terms of taste and price. Of course, the view is great! You can sit right by the water, at the restaurant, or inside. Personally, I found another place for the next day.

23/11/2025: The pizza was good, but €20 for the pizza and the change of cold cuts from speck to prosciutto... the change cost €3. It seems excessive to me. A sorbet... €7. Total for 3 pizzas, 1 beer and 1 medium Coke, plus a small bottle of water, the sorbet, and a mini scoop of ice cream... €95.50... that's not a small amount.

08/11/2025: An absolute disgrace – never again! My visit to All’Antico Girone was a complete disappointment from beginning to end. The food is outrageously overpriced and of abysmal quality. I ordered marinated salmon tartare as a starter – what I received was simply a few carelessly chopped pieces of salmon, completely unmarinated, tasteless, and prepared without any effort. It was downright rude. The service was catastrophic: drinks were simply slammed down on the table without a word, no one poured them or paid the slightest attention to the guests. No one even came to check if everything was alright – refills? Forget it. The whole time, I felt like a nuisance. The staff seemed annoyed and unmotivated. Their main goal was to get through it quickly. Order, eat, bill, goodbye. Overall, the visit was a complete waste of time and money. Neither the quality, nor the friendliness, nor the atmosphere even remotely lived up to what one would expect from a restaurant in this price range. Absolutely not recommended – never again! The only positive aspect is the restaurant's location, which is nice and convenient right next to the city wall.

26/10/2025: I asked for pizza without oil and they assured me they wouldn't add any, but instead, they brought me a pizza soaked in oil. I asked the waitress to change it... They made me another one, but they forced me to pay for the oily one!! The staff isn't attentive to customer needs.

25/10/2025: A true gem in its simplicity, especially considering its stunning lakefront location directly on the Garda cycle path, and its more than reasonable prices. Excellent cleanliness and fully functional services! The bar and restaurant are reminiscent of old trattorias, with a very family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!
