02/06/2024: Excellent experience, clean and familiar environment, courtesy, generous dishes, excellent value for money, I had the very good ostrich and my husband had the snails cooked very well, if I really have to find a flaw; the croutons, I've had better but it depends on your taste. We will be back!

27/06/2024: Calagrana is a real highlight of the region and an absolute personal favourite. Not only is the food some of if not THE best you will have in the area, you will enjoy your meal in an idyllic intimate restaurant with sprawling vistas of the surrounding Umbrian farm land that make you feel like you’ve been dropped into a landscape painting. Menu highlights include; The Truffle and Pecorino soufflé - quite possibly one of the most delicious things you’ll ever put in your mouth - light delicate and crispy soufflé that’s presented to you with a generous topping of black truffle shavings, pecorino and a molten cheese sauce that I cannot keep count of the number of times I’ve ordered and will continue to order this stunning dish. If you want a feast of truffle then the creamy truffle Tagliolini is a must! Or if it’s on offer the Rigatoni with a rocket pesto is a dish full of classic yet exciting Italian flavours. For the carnivores - no one does a Grilled Rib Eye Steak like Chef Albi! Beautifully charred and cooked to perfection. Seasoned beautifully and dressed with a blend of garlic, herbs and confit tomatoes that can be complimented perfectly by a bottle of the house red. The food is just one aspect of this restaurant though. What really brings all the parts of Calagrana together is the hard work and dedication of the staff and the welcoming family atmosphere created by Husband and Wife team Albi and Ely. As well as always delivering impeccable service, great food and delicious drinks, taking the time to have a conversation with wonderful people is when you really get the full benefit of Calagrana. I’ve been coming here for years now and recently while planning a wedding. Just mentioning this to Ely she was right on hand straight away no questions asks and honestly could not have done more for us unless she walked us down the aisle herself. Calagrana have really welcomed me and everyone I’ve brought there like family and that along with everything else this amazing restaurant has to offer is exactly why I will return again and again.

23/06/2024: For anyone who hasn’t experienced Calagrana, it’s a must! The location, food, ambiance’ and staff are a treat. The go-to in the area for special occasions, romantic evenings or a relaxing and delicious Sunday lunch. Niccone Valley’s best!

28/05/2024: Our choice to test this establishment was the offering of dishes cooked over a wood fire. The menu is short but everything seems to be homemade. A little waiting for cooking over a wood fire, which is completely normal and at the same time a real pleasure to see the preparations. Unfortunately, there is little choice of dishes cooked over a wood fire for an impromptu meal. You must order in advance and preferably come with at least 4 people to be able to benefit from all the dishes on the menu, which can be frustrating 😭. The dishes served to us are good except for one reservation concerning the eggplants which are too strong in garlic which unbalances the whole. Prices are relatively high for the region. The clientele is mixed: locals, Italian tourists and other tourists. The establishment has a few tables on a narrow pedestrian street.

17/04/2024: The "Silvana" restaurant is always a guarantee. I hadn't eaten there for more than 20 years, but as soon as I sat down I went back to being a teenager, the gnocchi with artichokes were infinitely good, the pappardelle with ragù was identical in flavor to when I ate them at 16/17 years old, so as not to then talking about the tartare, saying that it was delicious and almost an insult to the dish was so good. Then finding an old childhood friend with whom you grew up, who waits at your tables added that something extra to the lunch that is priceless. Thanks for the wonderful lunch and see you soon.

01/04/2024: We went on Easter evening, what can I say, excellent food and maximum professionalism. The owner is kind and sociable. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. Ah, I forgot, they also gave us a ceramic baking dish from Assisi. See you next time

29/03/2024: Many times I have noticed this Trattoria, passing by in the car and I have never entered. This evening, I can say that it was a big mistake not to have stopped in the past years, because the food is wonderful, helpful staff, excellent service. there will be other future evenings at the Trattoria degli Angeli. 31/03/2024: Alas, from a nice experience in Gubbio I expected more from this restaurant. The low service even more so. Waiters wandering around and not even knowing what they are serving. Bread from the day before, hard and flavored focaccia, ham cut double like a fillet, meatloaf looks like a bon roll cut into slices and fried, raw potatoes... sorry. Never again. I don't recommend it!!!

05/01/2024: Al ritorno da Spoleto verso Assisi, quasi casualmente siamo passati davanti a questo locale, entrati ci accoglie il titolare Moreno con l'ospitalità che pochi sanno dare. La cena è stata ottima dal antipasto agli strangozzi con tartufi, alla tagliata tenerissima, al formaggio servito con miele e tartufo un contrasto delizioso, per finire un tiramisù ...anche il prezzo è stato più che ragionevole. Grazie ancora per l'ottima cena purtroppo abitando a Genova passerà un pò di tempo prima di ritornarci.

05/01/2024: Ristorante un po’ fuori dal centro di Spoleto ma ne vale davvero la pena di spostarsi e poi c’è anche il parcheggio. Personale accogliente e sala elegante quanto basta senza fronzoli ed esagerazioni. Ottimi gli antipasti e i primi piatti con materie prime locali. Lo consiglio vivamente anche per l’ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

24/05/2024: We were able to go at the last minute. Very friendly reception, even small dog no problem. The hostess is proud of her products and she should be, she makes delicious cake, extra tasty when it is still warm. She spoils her guests with an extensive breakfast and you even get a packed lunch. Price is fine, I definitely recommend this place.

13/06/2024: Located in a beautiful Spello --I must call out the receptionist who warmly greeted me after a very long day of walking. I was walking on a self-guided tour by myself, and I had been in constant contact with her with WhatsApp. She was really worried when I didn't arrive on time--and she was preparing to work with the self-guided company to figure out if I was ok. Also, the view from eating breakfast is WONDERFUL. As was the breakfast. I stayed there on night of the 24th of May -- so please thank the kind receptionist!

05/06/2024: After a long hike, we were warmly welcomed to this nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean, a little bit small. Breakfast on the patio was outstanding with the view! We loved the coffee! Would recommend.
