28/05/2024: Our choice to test this establishment was the offering of dishes cooked over a wood fire. The menu is short but everything seems to be homemade. A little waiting for cooking over a wood fire, which is completely normal and at the same time a real pleasure to see the preparations. Unfortunately, there is little choice of dishes cooked over a wood fire for an impromptu meal. You must order in advance and preferably come with at least 4 people to be able to benefit from all the dishes on the menu, which can be frustrating 😭. The dishes served to us are good except for one reservation concerning the eggplants which are too strong in garlic which unbalances the whole. Prices are relatively high for the region. The clientele is mixed: locals, Italian tourists and other tourists. The establishment has a few tables on a narrow pedestrian street.

17/04/2024: The "Silvana" restaurant is always a guarantee. I hadn't eaten there for more than 20 years, but as soon as I sat down I went back to being a teenager, the gnocchi with artichokes were infinitely good, the pappardelle with ragù was identical in flavor to when I ate them at 16/17 years old, so as not to then talking about the tartare, saying that it was delicious and almost an insult to the dish was so good. Then finding an old childhood friend with whom you grew up, who waits at your tables added that something extra to the lunch that is priceless. Thanks for the wonderful lunch and see you soon.

04/06/2024: Truly amazing seafood food. The appetizer (salmon, squid and marinated octopus) was huge(!), in fact like the entire dinner course. Fish soup and risotto with shrimps - delicious. Moreover, everything was served quickly and with a smile. Wine by the glass - delicious and plenty of it. The entire set cost 48 euros. The only thing missing was the weather, so we sat in some random room with one small window. But clean and tidy. If you're fed up with spaghetti and gnocci, you can go here blindly.

25/05/2024: We ended up in Todi yesterday for a visit to the city and we discovered this pizzeria restaurant by chance and we enjoyed it so much that today from Assisi, we wanted to go back to eat the pizza, truly fantastic in terms of taste and choice of raw materials. Our favorite is the "le cisterna", white base, fior di latte, courgette cream, crispy bacon, pecorino and courgettes. I highly recommend it, honest prices, friendly service, never intrusive and despite the number of users, quite fast. Trust a local guide 👍

18/06/2024: I came across this pizzeria by chance due to work commitments and I went there twice in a row because the pizza is really good. I didn't try the other dishes which however looked equally inviting. The prices are very low, the atmosphere is familiar and the service is excellent. If I were to return to the area I wouldn't hesitate to stop there.

02/06/2024: Last night I had dinner with my partner. Romantic dinner to celebrate an important moment. I have known this restaurant for some time and it always confirms a pleasant experience and good food. There is always a great variety of dishes, great quality of raw materials, selected wines, and then it is not very large and this gives it that touch of exclusivity and intimacy that I love very much. I recommend everyone to go there at least once, in such a vast catering offer, a restaurant like this certainly offers that something extra. I can't wait to eat out with the Perugian countryside as a backdrop. Highly recommended.

29/05/2024: We had dinner last night at Chicco di grano, where we had already been with my partner 4 years ago. We ordered two starters, two first courses, one second course and wine. My starter was a "Japanese wagyu carpaccio with Andria smoked burrata". When ordering, the waiter tells me that instead of the smoked burrata there is normal burrata and I reply that there is no problem because I had come specifically to eat the Wagyu carpaccio (WHICH I HAVE SEEN A PHOTO OF ON THE SITE RESTAURANT AND THAT WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I ARRIVED). The starters arrive and instead of carpaccio a very simple bresaola arrived, recognizable by its flavor (I have eaten wagyu meat many times and I know perfectly well what it tastes like, very tasty and almost salty in the mouth) and by its marbling (THE TYPICAL STREAKS OF FAT OF WAGYU THEY DID NOT EXIST AT ALL). we point out that the appetizer does not conform to what is described on the menu, we send the appetizers back and continue with dinner. Tagliatelle with Umbrian white ragu which was a tagliatelle with boiled meat. Frozen sandwiches served as "hot bread". We go to pay and here comes the fun part. When we point out that the wagyu carpaccio was not carpaccio but common bresaola, the owner begins to tell us that the prices have increased due to the crisis, that he has two daughters and a wife to support and that therefore he has had to lower the quality of the products (REGARDLESS OF THE PERSONAL PROBLEMS I COME TO EAT AND NOT TO UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS OF THE OWNER, WHO COULD HAVE WELL REMOVED THE DISH FROM THE MENU IF IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR HIM).

09/03/2024: Compliments We randomly stopped to eat here, it was raining and we had just left the sanctuary. He offers the "torta al testo" stuffed with salami and cheese, there are already combined proposals. I really like cheese and I got some advice. The pecorino di fossa is very good. Highly recommended

14/06/2024: In the absolutely attractive surroundings of the pedestrian zone, a ristorante with excellent food (highly recommended: the bruschetta trio) and wine (you are already well served with the house wine), attentive service and extremely fair prices. We recommend!

22/05/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo da Cesare e comesempre dall'accoglienza di tutti,alla bontà del pesce è stato tutto ottimo!!Cesare e Teresa sono cordiali e tanto disponibili sempre pronti ad ogni richiesta. Il pesce è fresco ,squisito e cucinato in maniera gustosissima ,tutto buono,gli antipasti caldi e freddi ,tagliolini e il risotto!!! Da rimanere a bocca aperta... piatti ricchi ed abbondanti , abbiamo pure riportato a casa ciò che non riuscivamo a finire!!! Il prezzo è giustissimo(non è caro) e abbiamo anche assaggiato dei dolcetti al cocco!!Davvero buoni pure quelli!!!Insomma da consigliare a tutti!! Ne rimarrete estasiati!!!.

14/05/2024: Ho deciso di festeggiare la comunione di mio figlio "Da Cesare" e siamo rimasti stupiti per la bontà e ricchezza del menù e incantati dalla gentilezza e dalla cura verso i nostri ospiti da parte di tutti. Teresa e Cesare, gentilissimi, ci hanno fatto sentire in famiglia e ci hanno coccolato con le loro prelibatezze e tutto lo staff ha seguito con dedizione ogni momento del nostro pranzo. Ci hanno persino sorpreso con gli scampi al tartufo...da rimanere senza parole!!! Ogni piatto veramente squisito e gustoso: antipasto ricco anzi ricchissimo, gli gnocchetti con crema di scampi sono una prelibatezza che mio figlio di 20 mesi "ha spazzolato" e pure richiesto. E poi la frittura!!!eccellente e tutto molto abbondante...Veramente perfetto!! I piatti che sono di ottima qualità mostrano tutto l'amore che hanno Teresa e Cesare per la cucina e per i loro clienti e noi torneremo molto presto!!! Lo consigliamo vivamente!!

05/04/2024: Our family stayed in this very pleasant farmhouse during the Easter holidays. Excellent location, tasty breakfast and dinner, we point out that in the apartments there is the very pleasant surprise of finding two bathrooms for two rooms, a truly appreciated plus for family management.

16/08/2023: at the moment (8/8/23) a sign on the entrance driveway warns that it is closed. Update: To the kind owner who argues because I gave 1 star for a restaurant that has been closed for 2 months but is still open on Google, I reply: I drove for half an hour to reach the place attracted by past reviews, if you had written the new address on the sign I would certainly have gone another way. So I should have put "not classified due to the absence of the venue". If, instead of arguing, you update the page on Google, I will be happy to come to dinner with you.
