29/08/2024: Excellent tavern along the picturesque port street in Portoferraio. Spaghetti with octopus really good and full of flavour. The portions are generous and at the right price. The service was fast and courteous. Advised.

27/08/2024: excellent quality food with not exaggerated prices, €20 per dish more or less. Ask for tables overlooking the port!!!

26/08/2024: Accanto alla piazza principale del paese si trova questa piccola perla, locale curato , bella apparecchiatura menù rivisitato in chiave moderna, servizio attento e puntuale e carta dei vini ben studiata con diverse chicche italiane e Francesi. Triglia e zucchine da paura, torneremo presto ad assaggiare tutto il menù. In questo periodo strano e’ difficile trovare un ristorante come questo, bravi continuate così!

25/08/2024: Siamo state a cena in questo ristorante consigliato da alcune persone locali della zona. Siamo state accolte fin da subito con gentilezza e professionalità. Personale gentilissimo, disponibile e molto attento ai dettagli e location molto carina in centro di Capoliveri e pulita. Perfetta l'attesa tra ogni portata! Abbiamo fatto una cena a base di pesce e dall'antipasto ai dolci tutto squisito e prodotti di ottima qualità (pesce fantastico consiglio il risotto all'astice). Ci torneremo sicuramente!! Rimaste super soddisfatte e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

So tipped. Wrong wine was neatly corrected. It was really tasty, although it was just not firm enough with the steak. But was our choice. Because the food and atmosphere were great Coffee... Well, nothing good can come of it with a machine like that. Better used to it at home (such a full machine is not what you expect in an Italian restaurant)

10/08/2024: Enchanting seaside restaurant, fabulous view. The young staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The expertly prepared dishes were plentiful and excellent! All very good! It's not cheap, but it's worth it! I highly recommend it!

31/08/2024: Although the location was tight, they were very considerate and arranged an ideal location for us (because there was a 55kg large dog traveling with us). The taste of the dishes and desserts is also very good, and the low price is a big surprise👍

01/09/2024: We spent a very nice evening at La Persiana. The quality of the fish and vegetables are very good. The sea bream was grilled to perfection and the primo and antipasto were perfect and the ingredients were very harmonious and balanced (why good restaurants don't serve lemon with fish doesn't seem to be clear to one commenter here). The Tagliolino nero were a flavor explosion paired with the red shrimp and straciatella. Rounded off with a very nice view (directly of the water) and a relaxed atmosphere.

06/08/2024: Great expectations as last time it was full and they didn't seat us. Today we booked and the very friendly old man at the entrance made us sit at our table. After about 20 minutes, a waitress who passed by by chance notices that we haven't received the menus yet!!! (It's off to a good start) We order an appetizer of Livornese-style stuffed mussels, spaghetti with clams and a cacciucco, a water and a quarter of a quarter white. The appetizer arrives but not even a sign of the wine. We point it out to a waiter, then to another and finally to the very nice waitress who took our order!!! After 20 minutes the quarter of white wine arrives, but it's a shame that the starter had already been served and it was also finished!!! The stuffed mussels are very good. While waiting for the other courses, we enjoy the free sauna offered by the restaurant, since they don't have air conditioning and the fans are blown by the wind, which isn't there! Meanwhile, the bread basket also arrives, just so we don't miss anything late! In the end the spaghetti with clams arrive, but instead of the caciucco they try to give my partner first a tagliatelle with meat sauce and then another spaghetti with clams. While I'm halfway through my plate, the long-awaited caciucco arrives (better if it stayed in the kitchen). Conclusion: spaghetti with clams totally loose, dry and full of shells with 7-8 surviving clams accidentally falling onto the plate. Cacciucco with 4 mussels, 5 clams, a cicada and a sea of ​​cuttlefish! What a disappointment!!!! In short, a tragicomic and somewhat embarrassing experience. If I were you, I would heartily review the dining room service, which is truly fun and amateurish. FA Hot, it's suffocating in that place and the people who eat in the heat are unhappy and don't enjoy the food! Advice for anyone wishing to venture into this tragic experience: AVOID!!!! It's just not worth it.

27/08/2024: We returned to the Hermitage after three years and the experience was equally unforgettable. This place offers a wonderful sea and unparalleled tranquility. The attention to detail is impeccable and the cleanliness is always impeccable. The quality of the food is simply exceptional. Here time seems to stop, allowing you to think about nothing and enjoy the moment. Everything is perfectly organized and carefully arranged. The mid-August evening is always special, with an extraordinary buffet, among the best ever tried, based on very fresh fish, both cooked and raw. Abundant grilled meat options, delicious desserts and an evening animated by exceptional guests who know how to involve everyone and crazy fireworks lasting over 10 minutes, directly from the beach. This place is truly a paradise in Italy.

06/08/2024: Osteria della Venezia located in a beautifully furnished place. The food is truly excellent quality and price. I recommend booking and the staff is very helpful.

05/08/2024: Starters with too much bechamel (on the fish!!!), first courses (tagliatelle with lobster) and second courses (cacciucco) flooded with tomato concentrate (and burnt garlic base), rubbery octopus. Also absent service (we waited 40 minutes for the bill).

26/07/2024: Ristorante accogliente, abbiamo cenato molto bene. Pesce fresco, piatti ben cucinati. Non solo accettano cani, ma hanno anche portato subito una ciotola d'acqua per il nostro cane.

26/07/2024: Mangiare sempre al top, in tante volte che siamo venuti non è mai stato “fallito” un piatto. Abbiamo portato vari amici e tutti sono rimasti piacevolmente colpiti dalla bontà di ogni singola portata. Per me l’eccellenza sta nel bollito misto di pesce che può sembrare un piatto facile e scontato invece ogni singolo pesce è cucinato alla perfezione e fa sì che questo piatto sia qualcosa di meraviglioso. Cameriere molto professionale e preparato, allo stesso tempo brillante e amichevole con l’abilità di farti sentire a casa. L’unica nota dolente è la cameriera che a parere nostro non è assolutamente all’altezza del posto, disattenta ai dettagli, scordandosi il pane e dovuto chiedere da noi dopo 10 minuti dall’arrivo dell’entree, posate mancanti al cambio portata, In più mai un sorriso e palesemente in difficoltà nella spiegazione delle portate a causa del fatto che non parla bene italiano.

06/08/2024: Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per caso e ne siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti, tanto che siamo dovuti tornare una seconda volta. Camerieri simpatici e alla mano, così pure il proprietario. Cibo freschissimo e dal gusto veramente ottimo. Se ricapiteremo all'Elba ci torneremo più che volentieri! Grazie Andrea :)
