30/04/2026: There are several restaurants in the village, all within a few minutes’ walk (mostly via steps) from anywhere in the village. There were several reasons why we, having stayed in the village for a few days, chose this one: -The location with a view -A small but excellent selection at an osteria -Not right down by the road It was a good choice and we weren’t disappointed: . We turned up on the spur of the moment without a booking and were warmly welcomed in the evening and shown to a cosy table inside. The dishes were explained to us in Italian and a little English, and we were given a recommendation for the dish of the day. Everything we ordered and tasted that day, and on our next visit, was beautifully presented and impeccably prepared. Accompanied by house wine and a delicious dessert. What more could you want? Top class! It’s particularly worth mentioning that on our second visit we received a 5% discount on the bill, as if we were long-standing customers. A top recommendation from us for Marciano.

05/03/2026: The atmosphere is a bit shabby, the service is quick, the girls are very nice and smiling, the food is so-so, the first courses, spaghetti with clams and ravioli in walnut sauce, were good, the cod under pesto was stringy, while the roast with potatoes was passable, the desserts very good, the price right.....

26/02/2026: We had a lovely time here during our stay in Livorno. I had the Baccala con Livornese and the Polpette al Sugo, and both were delicious. My wife had the Pappardelle with Guanciale and the Traditional Platter, and they were also lovely. We were also looked after very well by the young cameriera, who recommended an excellent red wine to accompany our meals. We would happily return.

25/02/2026: We were probably unlucky, but 45 minutes for a plate of pasta and a tagliata is absolutely absurd. A ton of sauce and two strands of pasta; to save money, perhaps the opposite would be better, since with 10 cents more you can get double the amount. People arrive later and eat earlier, orders forgotten (without even apologizing), wine at €5 a glass without knowing what it is (if it's the house wine, it's excessive; if it's a bottle, you usually ask for preferences!). All this topped off by a never-ending argument in the kitchen. Perhaps this is the reason for the poor service, but frankly, sometimes a small gesture is enough to prevent a customer from feeling uncomfortable.

21/10/2025: Nice place right on the port. Above-average prices, the food was decent: the spaghetti was excellent, the pizza was good, and the fried food was forgettable.

04/04/2026: The food was 10/10, great prices for fantastic ingredients (porcini mushrooms, truffles). The waitstaff and chef were incredibly friendly and catered to every need. I would highly recommend it. Reservations are recommended as it's very popular.

04/05/2026: We always return to eat at this lovely seaside spot, which offers exquisitely prepared, fresh seafood dishes. This year, I was looking forward to the large mixed antipasti platter, which unfortunately has been removed from the menu. I consoled myself with the crispy octopus: excellent! The grilled and fried versions are also excellent!

02/12/2025: I enjoyed the restaurant's services as an addition to my stay at the AlleDune Hotel. I found the restaurant perfectly integrated into the dunes. Lots of wood. The menu is constantly changing, offering a wide selection. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. Catch of the day. Various appetizers, first courses, meat, fish, and vegetarian main courses are available. The staff is exceptional. Punctual, precise, and cheerful. Even a midday sandwich or pizza at the beach bar is a wonderful experience.

28/03/2026: A very sad place. We went there on a friend's recommendation for the full menu. In reality, we only found one menu for €20, which was also very sad. Maybe they've changed management?

03/05/2026: A simple restaurant in Castagneto. We went here for lunch with our families and were greeted warmly and attentively. The food was divine, and the pappardelle with wild boar was excellent. We'll be back.

30/04/2026: If you are looking for a modern restaurant with beautifully plated food then this is not the place to come.This is a traditional Tuscan restaurant with old classic recipes by authentic nonnas in the kitchen.Cooked in the same way for years, and presented in a simple way.The pasta is all home made and delicious.There is a great wine list too featuring bolgheri wines.Give it a visit if you like traditional food

10/10/2025: What can I say? The chef, with whom we personally reserved a table yesterday, has learned his craft. The "fish soup" is top-notch. The tomato sauce "soup" has a truly perfect balance between the acidity of the tomatoes and the sugar, which brings them to life. Simply brilliant. Mama Sita, in a nutshell. It couldn't be better. It was just as delicious from bite to bite as you couldn't achieve it yourself. The recommended wine complemented the taste experience positively. We had the soup for one person and shared it because we wanted a second dish. We had the homemade ravioli. That was the crowning glory. The homemade sauce, too, was a gourmet's dream. A Michelin-starred restaurant could add this chef to its menu once a month. Provided the best fresh produce is used. He buys fresh produce every morning, as he told me. So make a reservation and enjoy—it's worth every cent. And to top it all off, there was a lemon sorbet. For the lady at the table, it's normal, and for me, it's vodka and a cafe doppio. Unfortunately, it's not in the picture.
