11/06/2025: I haven't eaten a crudité like this in a long time. Live, fresh fish, expertly cooked and everything well looked after in detail. The crudité had oysters, truffles, Olbia mussels and hairy mussels, cod caught in Iceland and processed in Spain, scampi, pink shrimp, red shrimp, tuna tartare and capers. My mother had the warm shellfish and bottarga salad, it was delicious, the calamari were small. Then we had a large grouper caught that same afternoon and prepared all'isolana. A dessert and a bottle of wine, water, everything perfect. We spent €83 each, €40 was just the bottle, so it's worth every penny. Now, this is recommended. The place is full on a Wednesday night, the first 10 days of June, reservations recommended.

26/06/2025: Legendary restaurant located in the heart of Ancient Livorno. Here you can taste the most characteristic menus of "local" fresh fish. The place is simple but characteristic. Over time it has undergone renovations trying to maintain an ancient. A difficult but successful combination. The prices are a little expensive but it is clear since they always offer fresh fish. The staff is capable and very friendly. The icing on the cake is the "ponce alla Livornese". Legendary and not to be missed. After a good lunch you can choose to take a very long and beautiful walk along the seafront, which is a few meters from the Cantina Senese restaurant.

18/06/2025: Ho cenato con piacere in questo Ristorante consigliato dal posto nel quale soggiorniamo, indicato fra i migliori dell'Isola d'Elba. Consiglio assolutamente azzeccato. La qualità dei piatti serviti è altissima così come il vino e l'ottima cordialità e savoir-faire del servizio, rende la serata decisamente appagante. Non una sbavatura, c'è solo da fare i complimenti a tutto il locale per la cura che mettono nel loro lavoro. Costo della serata in linea con il mangiato e le attese, la qualità ha un prezzo, ma lo reputo corretto.

25/06/2025: I returned to this restaurant after many years and was disappointed by the cacciucco. The mussels were not fresh but were a bit hard, dried out and did not smell good, the cicadas were old, the broth was made with tomato sauce from a jar. In short, I expected better and the people at the table next to me had the same impression. Too bad.

06/06/2025: We were tired of the meat-centric dishes in Tuscany so we decided to take a detour here on our way to Firenze from Siena. Best decision ever!! The seafood was amazingly fresh and the lady host was very nice and friendly. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

11/06/2025: Located on a white sandy beach w beautiful, crystal clear water. Amenities galore, tennis, paddle, golf, water sports, hiking trail…. We tried all 3 restaurants and they were all magnificent ( food quality, service, and amazing views). Looking forward to returning again.

11/06/2025: Spent two amazing nights at Hotel Hermitage in early June with my friends! The hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of white sandy beaches with crystal clear waters and breathtaking. Upon checking in, we were upgraded to the sea-view suites with two full bathrooms each! The rooms are clean and bright, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the authentic vibe and rich history of the island. We were pleasantly surprised to find that beach chaise lounges I reserved my room numbers, so there’s no need to head to the beach early in the morning to reserve your spots and there’s no worry about anyone taking your chairs if you leave the beach and come back later. To our relief, chairs are always assigned to you by your room number. There are four restaurants in the hotel, as well as a beachside lunch menu. We tried all four restaurants and ordered food to the beach, and not once were we disappointed. The food was excellent with some delicious and exquisite local staples, and the breakfast buffet was rich with lots of variety and healthy selections, as well as gluten-free options. The pool bar offers some excellent drinks too with sweeping views of the sea. The staff is extremely professional and courteous, promptly and accommodating, our needs and requests, and offering tips on where to go and what to do. They also have a full service spa should one feel like getting any treatments. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking to spend some relaxing time on the beach in a beautiful laid-back Italian seaside setting with magical sunset views. I’m grateful for the wonderful time we had there and the amazing service and treatment we received. The owner Gian Luca is attentive to his guests, making sure everyone is enjoying their time at the hotel. I would gladly go back there with friends or family.

29/06/2025: I happened upon this restaurant by chance with Google, I found good food and abundant dishes and I liked that it does not only offer tourist or local dishes, the only flaw is the service. Disorganized guys and a nervous owner... there was no relaxed atmosphere. Even if they were kind to us at the table, but I don't like to see discussions in the room. The panoramic view is breathtaking but the place would need a refresh and an identity inside The price is a bit too expensive compared to the service Rating 6

12/06/2025: Family-run hotel that from the first moment gives the feeling of being welcome and being looked after with attention. Hotel Sileoni is composed of three buildings, I stayed in the Antonio building in a single room rather small, but sufficient for three nights. The hotel is located in a very quiet location near the beach and in a few minutes walk you can reach bars, restaurants, supermarkets and other shops. I would gladly stay here again.

07/07/2025: Well, it's one thing to make a mistake in the dish you ordered, it's another to make fun of the customer. Today I go in alone and they make me sit down. I order the simplest thing in the world, a focaccia with mozzarella, tomato and rocket. They bring me a pizza with raw ham, parmesan, rocket and cherry tomatoes accompanied by an empty focaccia. The waiter, like an old fox, tells me that this is what they mean by focaccia. Ok but that's a pizza with ham too, and the focaccia is empty. So I have the pizza and the focaccia taken back since they obviously got everything wrong. But that's fine, to err is human. After a few seconds the same waiter from before appears and tells me: "They're making it again right away". Not even 30 seconds later another waiter arrives and brings me the same empty focaccia as before but with the toppings from the previous pizza spilled on top. I can't see anymore, I repeat, the mistake is fine but the mockery is not! I got up and left hungry and mocked by strangers. They may make good food, but they are very crafty. Be careful!!

07/07/2025: It was a complete disaster. More than half of our order was forgotten and not served. We were missing a drink, our plate of calamari, and our salad. We only got our two pizzas. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. The topping was extremely runny and it was more like eating a runny lasagna than a pizza. The taste was just bland. I would have preferred some seasoning and salt. And of course, at the end, we got the bill for all the dishes we didn't get. Honestly, we can't recommend this restaurant, in terms of the food or the service.

03/07/2025: We dined for four nights in four different restaurants in Castagneto Carducci. We always ate well while spending differently. On the fifth and last night of our stay in the area we returned to one of the four: Ristorante da Ugo in the center of Castagneto Carducci, which confirmed itself for the quality of the food, for the attention of the waiting staff, for the speed of service, at a fair cost. A necessary stop for those who come to these parts.

15/06/2025: Spectacular view of the Bolgheri plain, exquisite dishes of the best Maremma tradition (wild boar, rabbit, wood pigeon, but also baked fish, fried food and excellent linguine with cuttlefish ink!), a wide selection of wines and a warm and familiar atmosphere. For me, it has been the best for many years and it never disappoints!
