26/08/2025: We stayed three nights at the Relais Della Rovere and had dinner one evening at this restaurant. The setting within the hotel is very pleasant, especially on the terrace in the summer evenings, but the quality of the dishes isn't always up to scratch, leading to disappointment given the price. The beef tartare was very good, but it lacked a bit of seasoning. The truffle pasta was good, but you could tell it wasn't homemade and was in a bath with a bit too much butter. The gnocchi were quite good, but the pesto was definitely not homemade and lacked a bit of flavor. The wine list is extensive, but almost no bottles were under €45. We finished with a pecorino platter to share for fear of being disappointed with the desserts. The platter was quite generous with cheeses, but we're still looking for the accompaniments mentioned on the menu. In short, for a meal costing over €60 per person, we were generally disappointed. I recommend the hotel, but unless you really don't want to leave the hotel, skip the restaurant! I'll end on a positive note: the service was friendly and welcoming.

17/01/2026: What struck me most was the service and especially the restaurant's atmosphere, which was calm yet steeped in history! The servers were incredibly kind, taking the time to explain everything in great detail, as if they were telling us a story, from the beginning to the end of the meal. The dishes were captivating, with a finesse and mastery far exceeding my expectations. It's a restaurant where you experience an explosion of flavors rather than simply a matter of quantity. As I left, my palate felt as if it were still tingling, imbued with all the aromas I had discovered. There was perfect harmony in every dish. I was also told that this cuisine was linked to the chef's origins, apparently from southern Italy, and this is clearly evident in the dishes. The linguine was perfect, as were the fish and the appetizers. Special mention goes to the bread, offered in several varieties and accompanied by different butters, including an absolutely exquisite lemon butter. Each dish was remarkably well-prepared. I'll definitely be back 😉.

05/09/2025: The food was truly delicious and the service excellent! Highly recommended... my mom can't eat anything with lactose or gluten, and one of the waiters, who remembered it perfectly when we returned the second time, recommended a very, very good and healthy dish. Keep up the good work 🥰

02/06/2025: For several years now, whenever I'm in the area, I've been happy to stop by Le Colonnine for dinner. The first courses, meat dishes, and pizza are all fantastic. I love eating outside under the portico, but the interior is also unique. The staff is fantastic, always able to recommend the perfect wine. The prices are more than fair, and the service is fantastic.

06/03/2025: It may be odd to post about a closed restaurant however this one is special. Our family came to Tuscany several times, last being 2010 and we have fond memories of “ La Signora” at cittino restaurant. For us, it was the most authentic food in Tuscany. Our children were little but even they remember the wonderful meals we enjoyed. Not it’s 2025 and my wife and I flew 5000 miles in hopes of enjoying one last meal at this special place. We hope the owner had a good life and knows how happy she made people. Grazie Signora!

01/06/2025: Da wir am Nachmittag essen wollten, fanden wir endlich dieses Lokal. Insgesamt war es gut, die Selbstanpreisung der Familie erfüllte die Ankündigung nicht. Nach einer Woche Toskana ist der Bogen des Angebotes erschöpft. Freundlich und schön im Garten zu sitzen. Da ist es egal, wie lange es dauert…

09/06/2025: Un accueil tres chaleureux par le patron de cet établissement ! Les pizza sont copieuses tout comme les antipasti. Le tout servi avec le sourire et l’humour !

07/06/2025: Pizza Capricciosa, cottona al prosciutto cotto, margherita con bufala e rucolina plus deliziose. Servizio attento e cortese. Merita tutto!!!!

17/07/2025: Ho cenato con la mia famiglia presso questo ristorante e devo dire che siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti sia dal personale preparato e disponibile che dai piatti. Anche il prezzo congruo con la cena. Peccato averlo scoperto l’ultima sera della ns permanenza sull’isola.

09/07/2025: Tuvimos un día perfecto y decidimos rematarlo con una agradable cena. Pepenero y su equipo realmente hicieron que nuestra noche fuera maravillosa. La comida estaba muy bien equilibrada y su encantador personal completó toda la experiencia a la perfección. Elba es genial y volveremos. Una cena en Pepenero será una visita obligada en el futuro. Al dueño: pague al cocinero y a los camareros lo que piden, ¡se lo merecen! ! Nos vemos la próxima vez Barbara & Henrik

25/07/2025: Deze zaak is volledig veranderd en serveert geen pizza's meer. Het is nu een enoteca en niet geschikt voor kinderen. Dit hadden ze wel even mogen aanpassen op Google en hier op Tripadvisor.

15/07/2025: It's no longer in business. It closed permanently a year ago.
