26/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Castellammare We dined here both nights of our stay and were truly delighted. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive: we were especially pleased that they remembered us on the second night, which immediately gave a wonderful feeling of welcome. The food is incredibly fresh and truly spectacular, with tasty and carefully crafted dishes. The wine selection is also excellent, with several options to complement your dinner. A place we absolutely recommend and would gladly return to!

25/08/2026: A charming location on the Marina di Castellammare del Golfo with a spectacular view. Excellent cuisine, seafood dishes, fresh, quality ingredients, and traditional dishes including busiate pasta and couscous. Professional, prompt, friendly, and welcoming service. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed.

19/08/2026: My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant shortly before Ferragosto 2026. We were immediately struck by the unobtrusive kindness of the staff, who carefully described each dish. We ordered the raw fish platter (highly recommended!). Next, we ordered the grilled tuna fillet and busiate pasta with chopped octopus. Both dishes were good, but in our opinion, slightly below the quality of the raw fish platter. Our only suggestion: the restaurant only offers an outdoor terrace, without air conditioning. Given that the restaurant is located in the central square, we suffered greatly from the heat. The experience would have been perfect if only there had been a fan or something similar.

19/08/2026: Good service, all wrapped up in a wonderful setting. However, mistakes are not allowed in a restaurant that is truly very expensive. The first course with shrimp was very good and tasty, but the one with octopus ragù deserves half a star. There was no octopus, only chives. (Pasta and spices are fine, the ragù is something else entirely.) I'm sorry, I was disappointed.

24/08/2026: A typical Sicilian trattoria, with a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, surrounded by greenery. Simple but delicious dishes. A truly delightful evening!

20/08/2026: I recommend Lidia Renda for her hospitality, speed, and excellent value. The place is comfortable, the staff are helpful and kind, the dishes are simple but very good, and the pizzas are easy to digest and topped with quality ingredients. She saved more than a few nights out, as they always accommodated us even without a reservation. Thank you, and see you soon.

08/06/2026: I went to Syrah because the supermarket cashier recommended it to me, since we were on vacation, and I can't thank her enough! It was a wonderful discovery. As soon as we walked in, we immediately felt at ease: the place is welcoming, well-kept, and spotlessly clean, with a truly pleasant atmosphere. The staff was incredibly kind and always smiling, making us feel welcome from start to finish. But the real surprise was the food: the sardine tart and the squid ink medallion were simply exceptional, the baked potatoes were truly exquisite, and the couscous with scorpion fish was simply marvelous. When you find a place that combines excellent food, courtesy, and such a pleasant atmosphere, you can't help but leave happy. We'll definitely be back and will recommend it to anyone vacationing in San Vito. Congratulations to all the staff! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

06/06/2026: Hi. We're two women from Bolzano. We spent a week on vacation in San Vito and twice at Syrah! Beautiful restaurant with a stunning atmosphere. Inside, there's a dining room and a garden, and outside on Via Savoi there's more seating! Excellent dinner. Look at the photos, and also the excellent wine list, etc. Very kind staff!! 24/11/2025: A very pleasant stay, thanks also to Marilù 🌟 I spent a few nights at this hotel and was truly satisfied. The location is excellent: easily accessible and well-connected to the city's main attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with those thoughtful details that make you feel immediately at ease. The service was attentive and courteous: the staff responded efficiently to every request, demonstrating genuine helpfulness. The breakfast was rich and varied, with fresh and beautifully presented products. The dinners were also delicious, an added bonus that completes a day of travel or work. But what makes this stay truly unique is Marilù: a charming woman, full of life, with a rich and profound history. Her presence, her hospitality, and her personal taste are evident everywhere: in the furnishings, in the paintings, in the prints, in that unique charm that gives the house a soul. Beyond the quality of the food and the beauty of the place - and in Sicily there is always plenty of that - it is precisely this that makes the experience special and memorable.

20/11/2025: We were welcomed like family; the atmosphere is very homey. The rooms are simple and clean. The pool is huge! We even went swimming in November! The restaurant is excellent. Marylou is very attentive to the ambiance. The music is great, which makes the atmosphere warm and inviting. The food is high quality and very well prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed it. And when the restaurant is closed, she suggests we go to Ittico, which was also delicious 😋

26/08/2026: Let me start by saying that I'm Sicilian and passionate about both meat and fish. I've traveled extensively in my life, and I can say, beyond any reasonable doubt, that "Il Solito Posto" is the best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. I have nothing else to add. My compliments, truly.

21/08/2026: The fish is definitely very fresh, but some dishes, especially the first courses, could be made with a little more creaminess to make them tastier. For example, the spaghetti with sea urchins, very fresh but with a slightly bitter aftertaste and a lack of creaminess, too runny. The appetizers are good. Friendly staff, efficient service, and good value. The location is distinctive, with its beautiful cross-vaulted ceilings.

24/08/2026: A mixed bag of highs and lows. ​A dinner at Osteria di Venere in Erice left mixed feelings. ​Seafood platter: The most positive note of the evening. It was the most popular dish. ​Octopus ragù sandwich: The sandwich itself was good; the only complaint was the octopus ragù, which was so finely minced that the ingredient was barely visible or noticeable. I would have preferred a slightly coarser texture to better showcase it. ​Calamarata: Unfortunately, this was the sore point of the dinner. The presence of cream in the sauce overpowered the flavor, even in the other first courses (which was not in the description), making it unpleasant. ​Otherwise, I have nothing to say about the restaurant or the service, but the kitchen would have been expected to pay more attention to certain first courses. In this regard, I don't feel I should criticize the work done, but rather consider it an area for improvement.

The crêpes are simply delicious, carefully prepared, fragrant, and packed with ingredients, with delicious and truly well-balanced combinations. You can taste the quality and passion in every bite! Making the experience even more enjoyable was the welcoming staff, always kind, smiling, and helpful. A pleasant and familiar atmosphere, where you immediately feel at ease. 18/08/2026: While experiencing the beauty of Lake Venus, a delicious granita was definitely a must-try mid-morning. I highly recommend the pistachio granita with hot coffee and almonds. Lunch was varied and the staff were very welcoming and made you feel right at home. Highly recommended for everything.

16/07/2026: We'd heard great things about this place, and that's exactly what we got. We had the fish couscous: spectacular. The lady, I think the owner, welcomed us with rare kindness. But what really stuck with me was her honesty. She advised us to stop for the couscous and then decide whether to order something else. Because here, the priority isn't quantity, it's quality. And the line outside proves it: fresh produce and a lot of professionalism. Truly well done. We'll be back before we leave.
