29/02/2024: Sono andata per una cena di lavoro, i proprietari sono gentili e molto cordiali, dagli antipasti, la portata principale e i dolci è stato tutto ottimo. Gli antipasti erano abbondati e per tutti i gusti, la grigliata era servita calda e di ottima qualità, si paga ma è giusto così

11/03/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale a pranzo per la Festa della Donna e abbiamo mangiato davvero bene. Gli antipasti ci hanno soddisfatto: la fritturina e il cocktail di gamberi erano gustosi e ben preparati. Consigliamo assolutamente di provare le busiate, molto buone e abbondanti. Il couscous, invece, non ci ha convinti del tutto: il brodo mancava di sapore e, di conseguenza, il piatto è risultato un po’ insipido. Nel complesso, è un ottimo posto per gustare del buon pesce se ci si trova a Castellammare. Lo consigliamo vivamente! Inoltre, il locale è molto bello ed elegante, con una posizione invidiabile praticamente sul mare.

09/03/2025: Siamo stati due volte in questo bel ristorante al porto di Castellammare. Direi che abbiamo mangiato molto bene entrambe le volte. I camerieri attenti e cordiali. Come antipasto abbiamo mangiato dei calamaretti fritti. Ottima frittura e infarinatura. Abbiamo poi mangiato dei paccheri al sugo di gamberi davvero eccellenti. Il conto perfetto per quello che ho mangiato direi onesto. Lo consiglio.

04/01/2025: I tried the restaurant. Really excellent food, best dish of the stay. However, I didn't have couscous but spaghetti al vongole. The best of my life! Negative point: it took 45 minutes before being served, our glasses of wine warmed up and we had to put ice cubes in them…

12/12/2024: Sicily meets Arabia. Fairytale-like ambience with typical local dishes. The specialty and highly recommended is the couscous.

23/10/2024: Das Restaurant sah sehr einladend aus. Wir kamen mit einer grossen Gruppe von 12 Personen. Leider war die Kapazität nicht hierfür ausgerichtet. Am Ende kamen die Speisen nicht zusammen, Drinks wurden vergessen und wir mussten lange warten. Die einzelnen Gerichte sind jedoch empfehlenswert.

26/03/2025: Couscous di pesce & Caponata out of this world! Super delicious food and extremely friendly staff (child friendly also, the waiter immediately brought us a high chair for our 2 year old). Definitely worth a 2nd visit! Grazie mille!!!

25/03/2025: A well-kept, very clean, elegant restaurant. It also offers an outdoor space. The food is divine, the dishes are beautiful. We ate 3 side dishes, a seafood starter, 2 second courses, one land and one sea, a good glass of wine and 2 coffees. The price of 84 euros was adequate for the quality of the food. The attentive and impeccable service, the waiter who served us was absolutely kind, thoughtful and professional, as well as being friendly. He gave us some tips for our tour of the western part of Sicily. Excellent, I recommend!!

02/11/2024: Great bar with a great team. We had delicious drinks and sandwiches and all at reasonable prices. Then there is the great beach with the loungers and the sea, what more could you want?

23/03/2025: A good restaurant in a very touristy town. I noticed that many of the tour guides brought their groups here. I can understand why the food was quite good. Very enjoyable.

30/10/2024: Ended up here by chance because it was the weekend and we couldn't find a parking space. Comps means Buddy in German, the staff, I think it was the boss, were extremely friendly and accommodating. We were able to park directly opposite and the sea begins 10 m further. It can't be better. The biggest surprise follows: we ate excellently and for three courses, all of which were excellent (five antipasti, a primo and a secondo), we paid €30. An incredible value for money. The patron's recommendation for the wine was excellent. A wonderful Sicilian Method Classico and then one of the best etno Bianca we got on our vacation. It's a bit out of the way but is highly recommended when visiting Castellamare del Golfo

21/10/2024: Excellent appetizer, adequately seasoned first courses and quality fish. Excellent food accompanied by a breathtaking view. The staff is generous and manages to support you in your choices with a smile and kindness. Super pleasant!

17/09/2024: This place is worth it already for the nice elder ladies who own the restaurant - but the food is really great, too! Decor and everything around it make it quite special and authentic. A bit on the pricier side, but still okay.

30/03/2025: The quality of the food is quite good, it's a shame about the very small portions (such as if you order a grilled meat for 2 people, you expect there to be every cut of meat for both of you... and no, we have to decide who gets to eat the sausage and who gets the slice of veal, so to speak!). The service is very flawed, there is little attention to the customer, (only one waiter on Saturday evening?) we ordered at 9.30pm and waited exactly an hour for an appetizer of chips and panelle... then a further very long wait for the dishes. A great shame because the quality of the dishes is good, but you also lose the desire to have dinner. We hadn't been to this place in years and we definitely won't be back. Last note: we are in 2025 it is absurd that a celiac can't even eat BAKED POTATOES in this place because they are cooked in the wood oven where the pizzas go.... But is everything okay?!?! I was aware I couldn't find gluten-free pizza or sandwiches... but hell, not even baked potatoes?! But what does it cost to have that extra attention for certain foods, given the exponential growth of food intolerances and allergies? Oh God, it's a real shame.

19/10/2024: Exceptional gem of a restaurant. To start with we received a very warm welcome and a peaceful, charming space after a wet and tiring day. We both chose the Chef's Swordfish with mixed grilled veg and salad. Oh my WORD! This chef has serious talent and the fish came with a chickpea puree and a vegetable espuma - delicious and wonderfully presented. We were also advised on wine and the Nero d'Avola was the most perfect accompaniment to our meal. We've eaten in several restaurants in Castellammare and this is our standout. We may be back tomorrow! Btw we haven't got to dessert yet!!!

28/03/2025: The staff at Hotel Carmine recommended Botega del Carmine to eat. It was excellent and we had a beautiful evening in this hidden gem of a restaurant with piano music, a garden, fairy lights and amazing service. (Come out of hotel turn left and restaurant is on the left near cacti. It is easy to miss - it has an enclosed garden in the centre which is not visible from the road 10/10. We live in France and appreciate good food and quality. The service was excellent and the meal awesome - their chef is top. The pianist/singer had talent.

01/01/2025: We ended up here three times in one day! Lunch was the fried mixed plate and an arancino al ragù, followed by busiate alla norma. Later we had a coffee and came in one last time for dolci.
