I would like the shopkeepers of San Salvario to consider the fact that even if you put a couple of chairs outside the door after two minutes you will find people sitting and ordering. That is, being in that area is a significant advantage. But this must be a further incentive to provide the best possible service. Having said this, I wanted to understand why, last night, at our request to drink your vermouth, which is also produced by you and therefore certainly a distinctive element of the place and your point of pride, we were served less than an inch each in a small glass. A dose that I consider just a taste. I don't know how much it cost because my friend paid, but none of the 5 of us at the table were satisfied with your precious and very good vermouth. Sorry but you could have offered us a whole bottle, 5 of us would have finished it without difficulty. Maybe you thought about our driving license points but we live in the area, it wasn't necessary. So I invite you to review the doses of vermouth served... it's an excellent product. Be more generous, you will see that you will have an excellent return. See you soon Fabrizio

22/04/2025: I had to get a better idea of ​​this place, especially after hearing about its "industrial chic style" and the selection of informal platters and plates. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but positive, and I'm sorry to say it, but this place barely deserves 2 stars. Let's start with the cutting board, which should be the flagship of a place like this: cured meats and cheeses that seem to have come from the refrigerated counter of a discount supermarket. No particular flavours, no artisanal quality, just flat and characterless stuff. Chicken wings? Definitely terrible: not very tasty, almost rubbery, and served with a sauce that was unable to mask the lack of freshness. The environment, of course, is interesting with that mix of industrial archeology and modern design, but when the food disappoints so much, even aesthetics take a back seat. The service was average, neither particularly slow nor particularly attentive, but certainly not enough to lift the experience. If you are looking for a place to eat well in Turin, unfortunately this is not the case. Maybe it's fine for a quick aperitif (if you don't care about the quality of the food), but for a real gastronomic experience, there are much better options in the area. It's a shame, because with a little more care in the selection of products, it could be a completely different place. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it to anyone looking for more than an Instagrammable setting.

28/06/2025: Good restaurant, although - in my humble personal opinion - with some "discrepancies". Introduction. I started going to Pollastrini, although not assiduously, since the 90s. That said, discovering that from a place with a purely Piedmontese vocation, the restaurant has "transformed" (it changed management, so I was told, about 18 months ago), into a seafood trattoria, raised some doubts in me. Leaving aside this necessary introduction, I enjoyed an excellent veal tartare and excellent agnolotti with butter and sage. The wine and spirits list is equally well-curated and varied. I would have liked to taste a local grappa, but the person who looked after me during lunch, correctly - warned me that I did not have one. In this regard, with regard to the person who looked after me throughout the meal, I would like to underline his competence, kindness and professionalism, as well as his courtesy. I certainly can't say the same thing about another individual (I don't know if he was a partner, the owner or something else) who, in addition to walking away from my table while I was still talking to him, was careful not to say goodbye when I left the restaurant. What can I say... even if I went to Pollastrini to enjoy a good lunch and not to attend a course in etiquette, I think that a little education never hurts.

28/06/2025: More than starred restaurants!!! We had lunch with the family and we really appreciated the quality of the fish first of all, very fresh and cooked to perfection: the seafood salad was very tasty and very light, with octopus with potatoes and marinated anchovies on bruschetta bread. The first courses were sublime, both spaghetti and gnocchi with clams, perfectly risottoed (and perfectly cooked), whose aroma spread throughout the restaurant. The desserts we took were delicious and very tasty, tart with ricotta and chocolate chips and crème caramel, all prepared by chef Antonio, a kind and very helpful person. The owner and the assistant in the dining room were also very kind and helpful. Professional and punctual service. Adequate prices in the quality/price ratio. It will certainly be a constant point of reference for our lunches/dinners also in the future. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL! ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

24/03/2025: We got takeout. Really excellent. In particular, the vitello tonnato was a delight for the palate. The pizzas and Italian frying are good. Perfect value for money. We will be back.

He changed our room, unfortunately the second room the air conditioning did not work either. We spent a night like HELL, very hot room. FAIR BREAKFAST I asked for half a refund from the owner through BROOKING, with which the HOTEL replied that it did not refund. All this on May 29, 2025. Before booking a room in this hotel, call first to find out if the air conditioning works in the rooms. I thank BROOKING for apologizing instead of the HOTEL OWNER. I will never, never, never return to this hotel.

16/07/2025: I faced bad treatment from the waitress, as I stood in front of the restaurant entrance and asked her about a table for two people to eat lunch, her response was very rude that we should stand on the other side to take a turn, my friend and I waited for 10 minutes, then my colleague took the initiative to talk to the guy to ask him about the possibility of finding a table for us after no one came to ask us what we wanted?! His response was welcoming and told us that we did not need to stand and wait, so he apologized for his colleague's behavior, and prepared the table for us. I want to clarify here about the bad behavior of that girl and the lack of courtesy that may harm the name of your company.

07/04/2025: Dico “purtroppo” perché invece l’hotel di cui fa parte è favoloso, e ci si aspettava quindi un ristorante all’altezza. Bellissima la location, come una residenza dei Savoia a tutti gli effetti. Ma i piatti badano solo all’apparenza, di fondo c’è poco o nulla. Antipasti mediocri, agnolotti completamente insapori. Zero carattere, zero personalità, pagati tra l’altro a caro prezzo. Non ci siamo.

04/07/2025: Prenotiamo giropizza per una grande tavolata un settimana. Del tavolo pochi non mangiano la pizza e prendono altro e per i bambini alcuni menù bimbi che chiediamo di portare per prima cosa è che arriva a rate dopo tanti solletici. Cameriere scortese e che si rivolgeva a noi con aria di sufficienza tanto per iniziare. Cibo passabile. Al momento del conto ci sono stati degli intoppi. Il menu bimbi aveva un altro prezzo, ovviamente più alto, rispetto a quello sul menu', sono state aggiunte al conto delle birre anche se ne erano comprese in quantità pari ai giropizza e che non hanno portato (se le facevano chiedere tante volte fino a che uno si arrangia e beve l'acqua!! FURBACCHIONI!!) Avrebbero voluto un unico pagamento invece che pagamenti spezzettati anche se la cifra era stata divisa in parti uguali. Insomma tante cose mal fatte. Capisco tutto ma non l'accoglienza di quel cameriere veramente irritante...sembrava gli dessimo quasi fastidio! Questa la nostra esperienza!

18/06/2025: The best canteen in Italy BUT ... I ask for more attention for vegetarians and they wander. I have been vegetarian for 2 years now and I have eaten at your place for 4. In the last two years, however, your poor vegetarian offer has led me to come less and less🥹. I would be very happy if instead of finding 4 animal-based second courses, you added a vegan second course, for example Veg burgers or cupcakes (and no, the usual omelette that I find every now and then and that vegetarian cupcake is not a valid vegetarian/vegan alternative to eat as a second course).
