THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE IL RITROVO RESTAURANT IN PORTO EMPEDOCLE, SICILY We were immediately impressed by the warm welcome; the menu is truly inviting. The panelle and paranza pasta are truly delicious, masterfully fried; the seafood salad and fried calamari are excellent. We took the dessert home and ate it after dinner; it was excellent with toasted almonds and ricotta. Highly recommended!

I travel around Italy and occasionally frequent restaurants, even high-end ones. Today in Turin for work, it's easy for me to enter one. We're in a trattoria, and this review can only be applied to this type of establishment. The food was good, the cuisine was honest, and the prices were very fair. Obviously, the clientele isn't that of a Michelin-starred restaurant—many are working-class—for this reason, I disagree with some of the criticisms I've read in a few (few) reviews. Given the above, I can only rate the overall experience as highly positive. Would I recommend it? Without hesitation!
