11/07/2025: How could you not appreciate the good music, excellent wine list, and delicious food served before the Marostica Summer Festival concert? Even on an unusual occasion, La Pergola proved to be a wonderful discovery. Kudos to the owners for their friendliness, helpfulness, and excellent food. Highly recommended and definitely worth revisiting, perhaps with a little more time to sample more of the interesting selection. See you soon, then!

13/08/2025: Disappointing Experience During the Teatro della Tosse Event This year, like every year, we decided to spend the evening in the square in Apricale for the annual Teatro della Tosse event. Unfortunately, the experience at the local restaurant was particularly disappointing, despite the charming and unique atmosphere the village offers on this occasion. The overall atmosphere at the event was rather chaotic, but what made matters worse was the behavior of the restaurant staff, who made no effort to manage the confusion with professionalism or courtesy. In fact, we were treated rudely from the start. We sat down at a table around 6:30 PM to order an aperitif, but were asked to get up and move because our table was "in the path of the line that people would be waiting for at the cash register when the buffet opens at 7 PM." (?!) A reason that, to be honest, seemed unclear and impolite. Once we were seated at our new table, we ordered our aperitivo: prosecco served in red paper cups with "Merry Christmas" written on them (which left us perplexed). Meanwhile, some friends, in good faith and kindly, offered us two tomato salads purchased from a nearby stand, mistakenly thinking they were part of the buffet at the restaurant where we were sitting. The information in the square was vague and contradictory, and no one seemed to know exactly what was going on. The square was full of tables and stands offering similar foods (torta verde, pizza, focaccia, branda, etc.), so it was easy to get confused. Suddenly, a young man from the restaurant intervened aggressively, demanding that we vacate the table, accusing us without even giving us a chance to explain what had happened, despite the fact that we had already paid for the aperitivo (served in Christmas paper cups) and were already in line to order dinner at "their" buffet. His behavior was rude and threatening, with a dismissive and annoyed attitude. We understand that during crowded events, there can be organizational difficulties, but this in no way excuses the rude and disrespectful treatment we were subjected to. Fortunately, a nearby kiosk kindly welcomed us and served us an excellent dinner, and a kind member of the staff, who witnessed the incident, apologized on behalf of the restaurant despite being a volunteer. Due to this experience, we will not return and cannot recommend this venue, at least not during crowded events like the one at the Teatro della Tosse. Apricale definitely deserves better treatment, and we hope that the hospitality, organization, and welcome will improve in the future.

06/08/2025: The sardenara and cake were amazing. The cake was still warm at 11 a.m. The service was wonderful, but friendly.

13/08/2025: Thanks to the advice of an acquaintance we discovered this little pearl in the heart of the gardens of Queen Margherita, the place is enchanting and you can eat both inside for those who suffer from the heat it is highly recommended because it is air conditioned and also outside, the service is fast and the staff is very kind and attentive towards the customers, for those who love pizza there are lots of choices for those who love fish I recommend the imperial spaghetti and the imperial grill they were truly fabulous, the portions are very generous so the advice is not to take too many dishes, don't make my mistake, at the first one I gave up 😅 also ideal choice for children super positive experience we recommend it with all our heart, a super positive note is that it is pet friendly so our dog was not only welcomed but was served and revered

24/08/2025: We ate at this small establishment. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. We ate very well, with delicious, tasty dishes.

23/08/2025: The menu was very small, really just what was written on the blackboard; so the selection was very limited. There was no beer or Aperol, only wine and soft drinks. The food arrived in under three minutes, so it was definitely reheated. The spaghetti was quite firm, harder than al dente for me. The gnocchi with ricotta was good, but the prices seemed too high for the value.

07/06/2025: Very well-located hotel. The room is a bit outdated; the bathroom needs updating, as the sink is broken. It's a shame! A bonus is the total peace and quiet and the cool night air for a good night's sleep. Beautiful view of Apricale.

25/05/2025: Don't be put off by a bit of carelessness when you arrive, come in and you will find yourself in a place a bit from another time like a restaurant that you don't find anymore without frills but with a lot of substance, sit at a table near the window overlooking a beautiful view and then with the arrival of the dishes you will realize that you have not made a mistake in the place. The first courses were very good, the grilled meat was delicious with vegetables and then ..... the arrival of the hot zabaglione in a copper pot in industrial quantities. Everything was excellent, great availability and professionalism of the staff, the only flaw if I may say so, but this is subjective, the dishes were too abundant for me who usually only order half portions but here I couldn't hold back

When asking for a French menu (as we are not comfortable with ingredients written in another language), we were simply told to scan the QR code on the menu. Nothing to say until then. But at the time of the addition, a big surprise: the prices displayed on the scanned version were one euro less per dish and per cocktail than those on the “real” menu. We tried to discuss with the boss to understand this difference. His only answer: "it's a mistake". An error that nevertheless concerned almost the entire map... Of course, they didn't want to know anything, and we paid the "tourist" price. On the kitchen side, nothing beats the experience: • The burger was totally bland. • Clam pasta bathed in butter, a culinary aberration that lingers on the stomach. In short, an address to absolutely avoid if you don't want to be mistaken for a pigeon. (In Italian) A place we will never set foot in again! A real scam for tourists, especially for the French. 03/09/2025: Real Italian pizzas! Fast service, it's crowded, a little noisy, but it's worth it! The tiramisu served in an Italian coffee maker is delicious.

13/08/2025: Pizzeria da Vincenzino is a must-visit in Bordighera (how wonderful it's reopened!) Extremely rustic, with just a few pizzas made strictly in a gas oven by the owner's mother, when you come you know you'll be waiting at least an hour and a half...you can't reserve, but that doesn't matter because you'll be eating a delicious pizza, unlike anything else...a little thick, crispy, flavorful, unmistakable...and everything else takes second place. The pizzeria will always be packed...you have to come at least 6:30 pm if you hope to eat...but it's worth it!!!!
