The service was good and friendly. The surrounding buildings are a bit sad, but that's also part of the charm of the place.

23/07/2025: We went to Spadin for a special lunch and it was a fantastic experience. The location was excellent, with a breathtaking view of the open sea, perfect ventilation, shade, silence, and nature all around. The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked; the portions were generous, and the man who served us was very kind, professional, and pleasant, both in his manner and efficiency. A highly recommended restaurant for everything. Characterful and well-maintained. Excellent value: not cheap, but the fish and the location were well worth the price! The dessert was also very good! Reservations are recommended.

21/07/2025: Spend the weekend at this recently renovated hotel; great pool, rooms recently renovated. We happened to be there when they organized a dinner with live jazz music at the Terrazza. this dinner was among the highlights of our trip. Well done Monte Rosa team !

22/06/2025: This hotel really surprised me with the efficiency of all the staff. Everyone is very kind and professional. Very clean. The restaurant serves very good food and high quality products. Towels for the beach and pool are provided daily. I highly recommend it

06/07/2025: Nothing to say about the food and service, the restaurant is worth a visit. Tasty and well-prepared dishes, excellent quality raw materials. Personally, I was unlucky and had dinner with only one great desire: to finish quickly and leave as soon as possible. At the table next to ours, 3 people were dining with a dog, who for the entire duration of the meal was free to approach almost to my chair and to run around between the legs of the waitresses while they served the various courses. Furthermore, the dog was free to stand up on its hind legs and put its front paws on the tablecloth, table, chairs, etc. Finally, the dog also gave himself a good shake a couple of times and this left me quite perplexed, thinking of fleas, insects and various parasites that could have been spread around. Not everyone likes furry friends while dining... I found great disrespect on the part of the owners of the animal, and little attention on the part of the manager of the place who, despite there being several free tables, positioned us in the corridor and near the bogeyman... Last but not least, every minimum hygiene rule is gone beyond if the dog on duty has the opportunity to rub against the clothes of the waiters who enter and exit the kitchen or if, even worse, the latter pet them between one course and another, without sanitizing their hands properly.

09/06/2025: Andato due sere fa con amici che già lo conoscevano per noi era la prima volta e direi che è stata un'ottima scelta.Ambiente carino ed ospitalità al massimo gradimento con un titolare di grande gentilezza come tutto il personale.Iniziato come antipasto con le focaccette farcite secondo i gusti,una vera prelibatezza,cui ho fatto seguito con i rosticcini di polipo che in un'altra recensione erano stati criticati ed invece li ho trovati ottimi,ho chiuso con un sorbetto al chinotto veramente gustoso,il tutto condito da un rosato della casa di Luni veramente all'altezza.Prezzo equo,per cui ovviamente ci torneremo.

14/07/2025: Situato in una stradina parallela al budello principale di Cogoleto questo ristorante, dall’esterno, non vi colpirà particolarmente con insegne luminescenti o cartelli pubblicitari ma, appena entrati, vi sentirete un po’ come a casa vostra. Non posso non partire dalla signora Ada, la vera storia di questo locale. Ci accoglie come fossimo degli abituè, amici di famiglia, vicini di casa. Ed è proprio così che ci si sente dopo qualche minuto passato insieme. La spiegazione dettagliata del menù non è la solita tiritera di piatti, ingredienti o elenco di materie prime … ogni piatto ci viene descritto insieme alla sua storia, i suoi aneddoti, la ricetta, il modo di come la signora Ada (o semplicemente Ada come lei vuole essere chiamata) lo cucina a casa sua. Questa accoglienza, così diversa da qualsiasi posto che ho frequentato in tutti questi anni, mi ha fatto innamorare di questo posto prima ancora di assaggiare una qualsiasi pietanza e ho già, sorprendentemente, l’acquolina in bocca. Siamo in quattro e ognuno di noi prende uno starter diverso. Il guazzetto di muscoli (cozze per i non Liguri), il Cenonno composto da una serie di piattini con assaggi mare e monti, caldi o freddi, polpo e patate, mentre io scelgo il piatto che avevo già visto sul loro sito web: code di gamberi avvolti nel lardo d’Arnad con stracciatella di burrata, semplicemente spaziali, cotti alla perfezione, con materie prime di altissima qualità, sono entrati di prepotenza nella mia personalissima top 10 di piatti più buoni mangiati nella mia vita ! Qui Ada, ci grazia della ricetta “casalinga” di questo piatto, semplicissima, rapidissima ma con ingredienti che devono essere necessariamente di ottima qualità ! Proseguiamo questa esperienza culinaria eccezionale, con i ravioli di burrata con pomodorini, basilico e acciughe di Cetara, delicatissimi, preparati alla perfezione e cotti al dente come piacciono a me. Finiamo con la “Tavolozza di dolci” tutti provenienti dalla Campania e Sicilia, uno più buono dell’altro. Io però ho scelto la delizia al limone tutta per me e ho fatto bene in quanto era veramente troppo golosa per condividerla con qualcuno. Di una cosa sono convinto adesso, il ristorante Nonno Cuoco è sicuramente la mia prima scelta a Cogoleto.

13/07/2025: Located on a narrow street parallel to the main street of Cogoleto, this restaurant may not particularly impress you from the outside with its neon signs or advertising, but as soon as you enter, you'll feel a little at home. I can't help but start with Signora Ada, the true story of this place. She welcomes us as if we were regulars, family friends, neighbors. And that's exactly how you feel after spending a few minutes together. The detailed explanation of the menu isn't the usual rigmarole of dishes, ingredients, or a list of raw materials... each dish is described to us along with its history, its anecdotes, the recipe, and the way Signora Ada (or simply Ada, as she prefers to be called) cooks it at home. This welcome, so different from any other place I've frequented in all these years, made me fall in love with this place before even tasting a single dish, and my mouth is already, surprisingly, watering. There are four of us, and we each choose a different starter. The mussel stew (mussels for non-Ligurians), the Cenonno, a series of small plates with hot and cold seafood and mountain appetizers, octopus, and potatoes, while I chose the dish I'd already seen on their website: shrimp tails wrapped in Arnad lard with burrata stracciatella. Simply out of this world, cooked to perfection, with the highest-quality ingredients, it's now firmly in my personal top 10 of the best dishes I've ever eaten! Ada, please share the "homemade" recipe for this dish—very simple, very quick, but with ingredients that must be top-quality! We continue this exceptional culinary experience with burrata ravioli with cherry tomatoes, basil, and Cetara anchovies—delicate, perfectly prepared, and cooked al dente, just the way I like them. We finish with the "Palette of Desserts," all sourced from Campania and Sicily, each one better than the last. I, however, chose the lemon delight all for myself, and I was right to do so, as it was truly too delicious to share. One thing I'm now convinced of: Nonno Cuoco is definitely my first choice in Cogoleto.

29/08/2025: 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 I called to reserve a table on a hot summer evening, and was told there was no room outside, but inside. I asked if there was air conditioning, and was told yes (too bad the micro-split in a room of at least 90 square meters with the doors open probably wouldn't even have been enough to cool my bathroom!). The result was a sweat bath that lasted almost two hours. Yes, because at least an hour passes between when you sit down and when the first course arrives. The waiter who comes to take your order is a "Slavic gang leader" type: powerful arms covered in tattoos, a Slavic gang leader haircut, shaved at the bottom, longer on top, and the inevitable ponytail, earrings, bracelets, and maybe piercings (I was a bit afraid of him, so I didn't look at him for long). He asks you brusquely what you want, and you get the impression he's asking you what your last wish is before being executed. After exactly an hour, your food arrives—mediocre, I've already forgotten about it. You say nothing and don't order anything else for fear of the muscular guy. Then you go to the hostess at the cash register (of pre-Merlinian memory), where you pay a bill, high or low, which still sounds awful given the heat you've endured and the jitters you felt when the Balkan boss wrote your last wish in his notebook. Terrible atmosphere, terrible service, mediocre food, and the price is still wrong. To be avoided.

05/05/2025: Excelente restaurante cerca de la estación. El servicio era perfecto, comida de primera categoría. Muy ocupado (lunes por la noche) con una mezcla de lugareños y visitantes, todas las edades. Buena relación calidad-precio. Recomendar la pasta de calamatra de marisco y la pasta troife con almejas. Casa blanca perfectamente bebible.

02/09/2025: I rarely leave a restaurant feeling so happy. The kindness of the staff goes a long way, but the food doesn't disappoint; in fact, it's delicious, to say the least. The place is very well-kept and beautiful.

28/08/2025: We received a warm welcome and then enjoyed a delicious meal! All the dishes were a hit, but my partner's pasta with pesto was especially delicious (unfortunately, no photo). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was nice that they even told us a bit about the restaurant and Genoa! The prosecco and wine were also delicious. The service could be slowed down a bit to make it a real evening out. A top-notch place to dine in Genoa.
