12/07/2025: Tenía muchas ganas de comer en este lugar durante nuestra visita a Santa Margherita porque parecía súper lindo y el menú sonaba apetitoso. Revisé su horario tan temprano en el día para asegurarme de que llegaríamos a tiempo para la cena. Cuando llegamos pedí una mesa para dos en mi mejor Italiano. Una mujer de pelo corto nos ofreció una pequeña mesa en la parte trasera del restaurante, justo al lado de la ruidosa cocina, pero respetuosamente la rechacé y esperé unos minutos para ver si se liberaba otra mesa. Cuando una pareja se levantó y se fue, pregunté si podíamos tener esa mesa, en Italiano, e hice una señal por si acaso mi pronunciación no era clara. Las mujeres me dijeron: “no, estamos llenos”. Le reiteré que acababan de irse y que una mesa estaba vacía, y la mujer me gritó en Italiano “¡Estamos llenos!”, nos ahuyentó y me dio la espalda. Nunca he sido tan profundamente irrespetado por alguien en el sector de servicios, nunca ni en ningún país. Terminamos yendo al restaurante de fusión Japonés al otro lado de la calle, que era delicioso, asequible y tenía un excelente servicio al cliente. Te recomiendo ir allí en su lugar.

29/06/2025: Leckeres Essen in einem authentischen kleinen Restaurant, sehr freundlicher Service. Pasta wie wir sie uns wünschen, als ob die italienische Mamma am Herd steht. Tolles FRITTO MISTO!!! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

15/11/2025: First day: €2 cappuccino. The next day: €2.50. Then, later that day: €3! 😅 Your cappuccinos are excellent, but seriously, we tourists aren't here to be ripped off. A little transparency wouldn't hurt!

10/11/2025: Two stars not for the undoubtedly high-quality cheese and cured meat platter... but for the two Spritzes we ordered, which were barely worth the €10 each. The total for the platter, certainly not generous, and two Spritzes was €36.

17/07/2025: We were disappointed. Due to a mistake in the dates, they didn't accommodate us at all, even though we asked for another date to go. I'm sorry it was our mistake, but if someone had thought of staying in a different period, perhaps the kindness and courtesy of accommodating us a little could have been used as a reference point. That wasn't the case.

03/06/2025: La ubicación es agradable. A pesar de que hice una reserva dos semanas antes de que nos sentáramos en una mesa bajo el sol, pedimos también sentarse en una mesa cercana, pero nos dijeron que es una mesa para tres. Pocos minutos después una pareja sin ninguna reserva se sentó allí. La señora gerente / propietario a cargo era muy grosero y desagradable. El servicio y la comida eran promedio, la relación calidad-precio era baja, incluso para Portofino.

27/05/2025: Después de dos comidas anteriores decepcionantes en Portofino, buscamos el restaurante más inteligente con el menú más imaginativo, en una ubicación fabulosa, para disfrutar realmente de nuestra última noche en este hermoso pueblo. O’Magazin marcó todas las casillas y nos sentamos junto al agua con personal amable, buen vino (a 20€ por copa) y una deliciosa cesta de pan con aceite. Estábamos emocionados de que nuestra comida llegara. Y entonces los buenos tiempos terminaron. Tal vez deberíamos haber adivinado cuando no nos preguntaron cómo se cocinaría el bistec. El filete llegó nadando en una cantidad ridícula de salsa y acompañado de nada ni siquiera adorno. Así que rápidamente pedimos un poco de fritas que llegaron rápidamente y apenas cubrieron el fondo del plato. El filete estaba tan duro que raspamos la salsa para mirarlo y estaba gris, casi nacarado. Con retrospectiva deberíamos haber enviado de vuelta, pero en realidad estábamos tratando de tener una experiencia gastronómica satisfactoria. Mis propios medallones de atún también fueron asfixiados en salsa / aceite con tomates y aceitunas. El atún estaba demasiado cocido y había reposado demasiado tiempo antes de ser servido. Ninguno de los dos hizo ningún progreso con nuestra comida y pagó la cuenta y se fue. El personal sonriente y alegre y la hermosa ubicación no compensaron la peor comida que he encontrado. La factura era escandalosa con frituras a 12€ por persona. Acepto que debería haberme quejado mientras estaba en el restaurante, pero la mala comida en Portofino me había desgastado. Al día siguiente la ciudad se redimió en Portofino Bistro, casi al lado de O’Magazin y estoy feliz de darle una crítica fabulosa.

22/06/2025: The wait for lunch was too long, the restaurant owner warned us, but the problem is that the first person was served while the last customer was served an hour and fifteen minutes later. What a shame!

02/10/2025: And to think that it used to be a pretty high-end restaurant... we went there one evening... there was no one there, and that already alarmed us... we ordered a pizza (good food, but nothing spectacular), and a plate of spaghetti with clams (it felt like we were eating pasta with oil). Embarrassing, to say the least...

14/09/2025: 1 month ago we had a terrible meal, the bill was too high, maybe the chef had run away... Afterwards we went to eat a sandwich.

16/08/2024: Terrible welcome from the waiter, long wait to be served a simple Spritz... The waiter seemed impatient and even annoyed that we didn't choose our dishes quickly. We got up and left without eating... Place to avoid...

15/08/2024: The food was good, it really depends on what you take… The big problem is that we’ve waited 1 hour to receive the plate. They warned us that we would have to wait a bit but 1 hour is too much ! Moreover the quantity is so tiny I had the impression to just have the right to taste a part of a plate. If you’re hungry this is not the place to be ! The staff was not the best staff you will ever encounter but it’s a normal staff I can’t critic the staff.

02/05/2025: Abbiamo preso due semplici pizze… stiamo stati malissimo. Non consiglio assolutamente. Non fatevi ingannare dalla postazione e neppure dal personale fin troppo gentile… dietro c’è l’inganno.

30/07/2025: CoverCharge to sit down not even mentioned? Hidden charges....This is a RipOff bad example of a place to visit. Go elsewhere as we had to $5 glasses of wine which is all we wanted and made us buy Caprese. Over $100 Euro. Charged $12 cover charge per person & a 10% tip on the cover charge, LOL, plus other fees. We basically paid $100 Euro for two glasses of wine & bread. Bad experience for Portofino

29/10/2025: We went in and asked if it was possible to make some pasta for our 2-year-old son... And they told us they didn't have any, but since we were traveling, we had everything we needed. The waitress immediately said it was no problem. We ordered 1 gnocco with pesto 1 gnocco with meat sauce 1 potato chip 1 sliced ​​arugula and shavings 1 bottle of still water 1 portion of Grana Padano shavings for the little one. The gnocchi arrive, everything is ok... Good, not excellent, but good... The tagliata arrives. I was expecting a fairly large slice of meat, being a tagliata, instead I received a thin slice of meat, about 100g, only with a little rocket and without flakes because I had asked for it because I am intolerant... The portion of flakes, about 100g, could be seen in the bowl for the little one... Anyway, at the end, without a high chair, the little one sat in his mother's arms. I put the pasta and baby food obviously.... The tagliata I asked for without flakes of cheese but it wasn't a tagliata but a slice for a veal cutlet... We paid 21 euros for the tagliata and 4 euros for the flakes and 2 euros for the cover charge for the child. The service was good thanks to the good manners of the waitress, even if the "owner" was rude to say the least (only for having responded to the waitress who had told him that we had ordered two flakes for the child.... And the pay is a portion of cheese) anyway I would have paid even just to have cooked my son's pasta... In conclusion I give 3 stars for the food 5 stars for the waitress's service because she was kind with her manners... 1 star environment to be taken care of and cleaned especially in the attention to the tables and bathrooms...

23/10/2025: The staff is friendly, the food is good but the meat isn't excellent. Otherwise it's not too expensive.

25/08/2025: Not reccomended, you can hear yelling from kitchen, staff is mistreated, saw food getting picked up from floor by owner when i went to the toilet, food isn't very good, just near the port for tourists, didn't recieve bill, nightmare, wrong oders delivered, and pasta that should have been yellow came out white, bathroom disgustingly dirty

24/08/2025: Costa del Sert. They were yelling in the kitchen, and the owner was even swearing at the staff. The waiter was definitely in trouble, or at least pretty out of sync. The recycling bins were inside, clearly visible when going to the bathroom (top quality). The pizzas were raw, the dough was white. We left everything behind. Never ever again! No point in talking about service, etc. Nightmare kitchen. We strongly advise against it!

05/10/2025: Squalid place. I don't even know where to begin. I'll start with the service. The people working the tables are completely incompetent, wandering around in a confused manner, while you wait for them to take your order. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, you're forced to call them yourself, otherwise you might have to wait until tomorrow. A polite customer usually waits for the waiter to take their order and doesn't shout "excuse me!" from one side of the room to the other, because they respect the people working there and recognize that they're not minding their own business, but they are, indeed, working. But here, if you don't call, no one will come. The waiters never know who's been served and who hasn't, and this is a symptom of the disorganization that reigns in this place. Some waiters are kind, if incompetent, and even seem to be trying their hardest despite the obvious difficulties. Others are unpleasant, especially the bald guy—I don't know if he's the owner or a waiter himself—who is intolerably rude and impolite. At the counter I once asked, "What drinks do you have?" and was answered with a surprised tone, "I don't know, Coke, Sprite." I don't understand what's so surprising about this request. A customer might want a drink that's a little different from the more commercial ones, and where else but at a bar can they make this request? The food is embarrassing; most of it is frozen or pre-cooked. I don't know how you can possibly serve those chicken wings and mixed fried fish you put in your aperitifs—I'd be ashamed—on top of all the rest of the stuff, which is always stale and unappetizing. The bread in the sandwiches isn't reheated and is sometimes even frozen. At this point, I don't see why I should eat a sandwich at a bar when I can get five of the same ones for the same price, if the bread isn't even slightly toasted. The prices border on theft. For example, a bag of chips and a fruit juice at the beach club cost €5. But the height of this theft is the cover charge, which is charged to those who sit down and perhaps even pay rent for the entire season. A coffee and a water are €3.30, including a 50-cent cover charge, but how can you expect a customer not to get pissed off or want to come back? The loungers are all tied together, the showers are constantly broken. We're not even ready for the beach. I'll conclude by saying that the whole thing seems very improvised: two chairs on a terrace and then everything else is more or less as it is. It seems like a sea view can excuse everything. As if the customer were a fool who could just stare at the sea for a moment and be treated like a fool. But it shouldn't be that way. Service and food should be up to par with the place, you'd earn more, and the customer would come back again. The fault isn't with the employees, who, poor things, are just clueless people who find themselves doing something no one ever taught them; the fault lies with the owners, who cut prices on everything and whose sole purpose seems to be to fleece the tourist. Go somewhere else.

28/09/2025: An experience not to be repeated. The food was average. The drinks were almost gold, a chinotto costing €4.50 and a tonic water costing €3.50. The biggest sore point is the service: 1) The waitress is rude and unhelpful, as you can tell right away when she decides to throw the placemats at you to set the table. 2) When ordering, when you ask for specifics about the type of tonic water, you're not given any information, but you're immediately dismissed with a "Hey, I'll bring you whatever's available!" 3) If you're eating a sandwich, you can't ask for cutlery because, as they quote, "you don't need it to eat a sandwich." As if the waitress should decide how you eat your sandwich. 4) You need to have a bottle opener with you because the drinks arrive unopened. (When I subsequently asked to open the door, it was promptly served, taking care not to ask the waitress but the young man, who proved to be the most friendly and helpful.) It's a shame about the truly poor service, because the view is beautiful and the food is average.

23/09/2025: Terrible place!! I went in to politely ask to use the bathroom, they told me that a drink was mandatory, so I got a glass of water. As soon as I left, I wanted to use the hand dryer and noticed that it worked, but there was no paper. I reported this, and not only was my card denied, but I was also rudely told off, accusing me of spending so little, with rather ridiculous excuses! Stay away from these stingy and dishonest people!

30/07/2025: Super nice, she agreed to let us have dinner when the kitchen closed and even offered us a dessert sold in the window, the waitress is really very very nice, I highly recommend her 👍👍👍👍👍

30/09/2025: Dirty dishes. The waitress was obviously drunk. I can't say anything about the food because I didn't dare eat it. Absolutely not recommended. The good reviews are mostly from a year ago.

26/09/2025: Eating at Monica's was a wonderful experience. A super-sweet woman who unfortunately drinks a bit too much. But she cooks fantastically. I can recommend it to everyone; just go for it.

12/09/2025: It was an unforgivable mistake to book hastily. The only positive note was the studio's sea view. The apartment was extremely dirty, and the access stairs were filthy. The studio was in a state of total disrepair. They don't provide towels, despite this being stated in the property description on their website! The cost is absolutely not worth the service. The friendliness of the reception staff is questionable. NOT RECOMMENDED
