22/06/2025: Great music, top location — but all ruined by a toxic and superficial atmosphere. They look you over at the entrance as if you were at an audition: if you don't have the right look or the right friend, you'll be left out even if you're sober and polite. Favoritism everywhere, endless queues and zero respect. It might be cool inside, but the experience isn't worth the humiliation. A club that lives only on appearances. Over.

20/06/2025: I went to a party recently and I was sincerely disappointed: I felt sick because it was too hot, I had already finished my water that I had brought from outside precisely because I am subject to drops in blood pressure, and the staff refused to give me even a glass of water. The girl at the counter seemed sincerely sorry; on the contrary the boy didn't even answer me initially. After having waited in a very long queue to buy a bottle of water I discovered that they sell the 500 ml ones for €5. As far as I'm concerned it's absolutely absurd that you have to pay this amount to get just water to drink and above all that they don't take care to provide at least a glass of water in case of illness.

15/06/2025: We had read the comments about the “rude” service but the food being very good and we decided to try it. Upon our arrival, we realized it was only a lady and her husband running the shop and that everything was homemade. The lady at the counter was a bit cold but not rude at all, she didn’t really speak and after a few minutes we ordered. We watched her meticulously make the pasta like an Italian nona cooking at home. We had a bottle of wine and asked if we could use her bottle opener which she accepted with a polite smile. That’s when we realized the reason she wasn’t speaking was probably because she didn’t really speak English. We used google translate to tell her that the pasta looked amazing and she thanked us with the warmest sincere smile! I think people misjudge her and she is actually very very sweet! For the pasta, it was absolutely I credible. We took 4 different sauces and all of them had their own unique flavours! It was the best pasta we’ve ever had. It was very affordable too! An absolute must in Riomaggiore! Thank you for the delicious meal :)

24/02/2025: Una pausa pomeridiana per un caffè ed un tè con qualche pasta; segnalo il pasticciotto (crema ed amarena) una bontà! ed anche per la simpatia dei gestori..

02/02/2025: Ristorante vicino alla stazione, che è anche un bar e anche una pizzeria, servizio rapido la pasta viene cotta al momento. Attaccato c’è anche una focaccieria

24/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale visitando Finalborgo, pranzato all'aperto in piazza e trovato ottima la soluzione di poter scegliere tipo di pasta e sughi. Servizio veloce e personale cortese. Qualità buona, consigliato se ci passate.

16/04/2025: Tourist Trap. Personale scortese, abbiamo trovato un sasso nel piatto e quando lo abbiamo reclamato, il proprietario ci ha risposto che è normale trovare sassi nel piatto perché il pesce che propongono è fresco. Ancora non capiamo il nesso tra le due cose. Il piatto era stato mandato indietro e alla mia amica non è stato proposto di rifare la portata. Alla cassa ci hanno fatto comunque pagare anche il piatto con il sasso nonostante fosse per almeno la metà pieno. Inoltre il proprietario ci ha accusate di aver sottolineato il problema perché non volevamo pagare, mettendo in dubbio la nostra onestà. A livello di qualità del cibo mi dispiace ma nessuno dei piatti 3 piatti a base di pesce aveva un ottimo sapore ( nonostante le allusioni alla freschezza), inoltre le vongole erano piene di sabbia. Il pesto ordinato dalla 4a persona era leggermente acido. Rispecchia perfettamente gli stereotipi sulla ristorazione italiana con core business i turisti.

07/06/2025: We were going to eat here on our last night but then we read the reviews!! We called by at 8pm and there wasn't a single person in there while all the other restaurants were full, that tells you all you need to know! The owner needs to realize that people leave reviews and stop treating customers like an inconvenience. Until he changes his attitude the place will remain empty, a severe lack of professionalism. If he hates customers that much then just do everyone a favour and shut the place down!

01/06/2025: Tourist rip-off. We've eaten in Cinque Terre several times and sometimes paid a lot, but the quality in this restaurant doesn't hold up. We were also pressured to order as quickly as possible. The restaurant only survives on its well-located terrace in the village. But yes: in Cinque Terre, even a restaurant like this can survive with the crowds.

18/06/2025: New owner. Unfortunately, it's no longer comparable to the old restaurant. They serve simple pasta dishes. They taste good, but they're nothing special. The owner is going through a difficult time in her life. She was already tipsy when we arrived quite early in the evening. It's easy to see that she's trying to implement an idea for a restaurant, but it's not possible for her at the moment. I hope she feels better soon. All the best.

18/06/2025: Unforgettable experience (Don't rely on older reviews from the previous restaurant, which seemed to be of much higher quality.) The restaurant is attractive from the outside. However, we couldn't order what we were going to eat: random dishes came to us. The food was cold and the price was excessive for what we ate (remembering that we hadn't ordered anything). Payment by card is not possible, only by cash. I hope that the manager, who takes care of everything herself (reception, service, cooking, collection, etc.), will soon recover from her alcohol problems. In the meantime, this is a place to avoid.

03/06/2025: La ubicación es agradable. A pesar de que hice una reserva dos semanas antes de que nos sentáramos en una mesa bajo el sol, pedimos también sentarse en una mesa cercana, pero nos dijeron que es una mesa para tres. Pocos minutos después una pareja sin ninguna reserva se sentó allí. La señora gerente / propietario a cargo era muy grosero y desagradable. El servicio y la comida eran promedio, la relación calidad-precio era baja, incluso para Portofino.

27/05/2025: Después de dos comidas anteriores decepcionantes en Portofino, buscamos el restaurante más inteligente con el menú más imaginativo, en una ubicación fabulosa, para disfrutar realmente de nuestra última noche en este hermoso pueblo. O’Magazin marcó todas las casillas y nos sentamos junto al agua con personal amable, buen vino (a 20€ por copa) y una deliciosa cesta de pan con aceite. Estábamos emocionados de que nuestra comida llegara. Y entonces los buenos tiempos terminaron. Tal vez deberíamos haber adivinado cuando no nos preguntaron cómo se cocinaría el bistec. El filete llegó nadando en una cantidad ridícula de salsa y acompañado de nada ni siquiera adorno. Así que rápidamente pedimos un poco de fritas que llegaron rápidamente y apenas cubrieron el fondo del plato. El filete estaba tan duro que raspamos la salsa para mirarlo y estaba gris, casi nacarado. Con retrospectiva deberíamos haber enviado de vuelta, pero en realidad estábamos tratando de tener una experiencia gastronómica satisfactoria. Mis propios medallones de atún también fueron asfixiados en salsa / aceite con tomates y aceitunas. El atún estaba demasiado cocido y había reposado demasiado tiempo antes de ser servido. Ninguno de los dos hizo ningún progreso con nuestra comida y pagó la cuenta y se fue. El personal sonriente y alegre y la hermosa ubicación no compensaron la peor comida que he encontrado. La factura era escandalosa con frituras a 12€ por persona. Acepto que debería haberme quejado mientras estaba en el restaurante, pero la mala comida en Portofino me había desgastado. Al día siguiente la ciudad se redimió en Portofino Bistro, casi al lado de O’Magazin y estoy feliz de darle una crítica fabulosa.

16/08/2024: Terrible welcome from the waiter, long wait to be served a simple Spritz... The waiter seemed impatient and even annoyed that we didn't choose our dishes quickly. We got up and left without eating... Place to avoid...

15/08/2024: The food was good, it really depends on what you take… The big problem is that we’ve waited 1 hour to receive the plate. They warned us that we would have to wait a bit but 1 hour is too much ! Moreover the quantity is so tiny I had the impression to just have the right to taste a part of a plate. If you’re hungry this is not the place to be ! The staff was not the best staff you will ever encounter but it’s a normal staff I can’t critic the staff.

18/06/2025: Terrible service, highly priced at €180 for a simple lunch for 4 with just water. Refused to give a breakdown of the bill when asked, and demanded a cash tip even though the menu said a 15% service charge was already included! I just wish I’d seen these reviews before we dined here. There are so many other restaurants here, avoid this one!!!!

15/06/2025: ....un posto meraviglioso dove si respira il gusto del pesce verace....tutto accompagnato dal calore di uno staff incredibile....fatto di gentilezza e sorrisi....se si arriva in piazzetta a Portofino non si può non mangiare da Zara e Gianluca....tutto ottimo... cibo vino location e la simpatia dei loro camerieri capitanati dal Mitico Fabio Spaghetti... Top e grazie x tutto...😘😘🥂🥂

04/05/2025: God og variert meny, god mat, men fullstendig kaos i serveringen. Vi bestilte 3 retter, fikk 2. siden de skulle stenge og ryddet lokalet mens vi satt der, så ba vi om regningen. Der ville de ha 20€ for den retten vi aldri fikk. Kelneren påsto at retten var klar til oss, men vi skjønte ikke var sant og ville ikke sitte der og spise mens de ryddet for kvelden. Den siste retten ble til slutt trukket fra regninga. Siden maten var god gikk vi dit for lunch dagen etter. Da satt vi i 40 minutter og ventet på drikke, det ble nesten komisk...mens servitørene gikk fram og tilbake forbi oss hele tida uten å bry seg. Attpåtil fikk vi regning på mere drikke enn vi hadde bestilt. Den ene servitøren skyldte på sine kollegaer, men han var ikke noe bedre sjøl!

04/05/2025: En fantastisk restaurant med en flott stemning. Vi var to par som bestilte forskjellige retter. Pasta med reker som var perfekt tilberedt. Biff som smeltet i munnen, risotto med sjømat og til sitt en klassiker pasta carbonara. Selv om restauranten fylte seg opp med gjester var det en rolig betjening som passet på at vi hadde det perfekte. Dette stede blir nok besøk igjen. Selv om det ikke hadde noe utsikt, vil jeg anbefale det et besøk.

16/08/2024: It has a good location, the place is tidy and clean, and the most important thing is that it is air-conditioned, and the seating is indoors and outdoors. They have ice cream and snacks, but I did not try them. I tried the coffee and sweets. The coffee and sweets are very ordinary, and their service is a little bad. 22/06/2025: Incredible. Absurd service, cutlery and napkins are missing, we ask for them, they put a handful of cutlery randomly on the table and leave (in fact there weren't enough...) UNKNOWN hygiene, beer whatever they want, pizza... Oh well, let's forget it, no one ate it. I ask for the bill, a note arrives with the total, I ask for the bill with the specification and I receive a bill again by hand on a card, unknown receipt even if I pay with the card, we look at the prices and they don't match... We pay and leave, no point in wasting time, there is no one here capable of doing catering.

01/06/2025: Tutto perfetto.Il cibo è perfetto e buonissimo.Il personale è gentile soprattutto il ragazzo albanese.Un ragazzo molto in gamba.Io venivo da molto lontano me ne è valsa la pena per quello che ti offrono.Ti vengono a prendere e ti portino al molo gratuitamente.

19/04/2025: Bravissimi, come sempre. Tutto ottimo. Dall'antipasto, ai primi, la focaccia al formaggio sempre al top. Qualità prezzo eccellente.

12/04/2025: Eravamo in tre. Abbiamo ordinato una pizza margherita per nostra figlia (buona), alici fritte come antipasto (gustose), uno spaghetto alle vongole e un risotto alla marinara. Il cameriere ci ha consigliato di aggiungere i carciofi a entrambi i primi: scelta poco felice. Lo spaghetto alle vongole è stato snaturato, e il risotto, trasformato in un piatto al formaggio con carciofi, era immangiabile. Sul conto, oltre ai 19€ del risotto, sono stati aggiunti 4€ per i carciofi, e lo stesso sovrapprezzo anche per lo spaghetto. 8€ in più per un’aggiunta che ha peggiorato entrambi i piatti. Esperienza deludente.
