29/12/2024: I chose this place to celebrate my graduation and was immediately enchanted by it. The location in question has an incredible view, the swimming pool is open all year round, and is an integral part of Villa Mercede, a jewel at the entrance to Frascati, one of my favorite areas of the Castelli Romani. The professionalism of the maître Nicola makes "La cucina con vista" a restaurant of great prominence; he assisted me at all times, making sure my guests were comfortable and enjoying the event, it was as if he was watching over us. All the staff are extremely kind and friendly, in line with the elegance of the venue. The refined and tasty food was the confirmation of having chosen the right restaurant and which I would recommend a million times to everyone, not only to celebrate events but also to spend a quiet evening enjoying a splendid view. Congratulations again to all the staff, well deserved. Keep it up! ❤️

01/12/2024: I give 5 stars because I don't want the review score to be lowered.. I respect all activities and people who work.. The cuisine needs to be totally improved... I thought it would be better... it's really a shame because I would go back... staff friendly, clean room with panoramic view.. Unfortunately I question the quality of the dishes prepared... tasteless and lukewarm.. My advice but it matters little.. change the menu!!

13/11/2024: Rustic and very nice atmosphere, kind and friendly staff and good food, of excellent quality and cooked really well and you can also find a good choice of wines which are recommended by the owner's son who I know has taken a sommelier course. I will happily return.

03/11/2024: We walked by by chance and grabbed a free table. After a number of restaurants where they ignore you for half an hour, a very pleasant contrast. Service at a very high level, food also great and the atmosphere of a local business. I definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quiet and authentic place full of local people.

02/11/2024: Perfect service, delicious food. To start, we were served a glass of prosecco and bread My wife ate tortellini with mussels, I ordered risotto with shrimps. The dishes were prepared perfectly. At the end, we had a perfect espresso with almond cookies. It is worth adding that the restaurant is quiet. No loud music, which often distracts and interferes with conversation. When I'm in Frascati again, I will definitely come back here.

17/12/2024: Since it was the first Sunday of the month when many facilities in Rome are open free of charge, we visited Frascati, about 30 minutes by train, to escape the crowds. The restaurant was in a cave and had a great atmosphere. My husband, who usually does not take pictures, took several photos for our memory. Their specialty is porchetta, which can be ordered in small size. The white wine we ordered with it was very fresh and nice. The staff speak mainly Italian, but they are friendly and ordering went very smoothly. For non-italian speakers, preparing photos will make ordering easier.

09/12/2024: Ha ben poco delle tipiche fraschette dei castelli. È possibile ordinare solo taglieri di salumi (niente coppiette e niente salsicce) e formaggi. Nessun pasto caldo, nessun piatto di pasta. Prezzo nettamente eccessivo per aver mangiato solo salumi e formaggi. Location molto carina, unica nota positiva.

25/12/2024: All good, trattoria with castles of the past, no particular flash of originality, but a lot of substance, even quantitatively... Rustic place, however well looked after, reasonable availability of parking, Excellent organization even when there are a lot of people, courteous staff.

12/01/2025: Good morning, we want the old management back with the fried artichokes and the real schiaffoni made with meat sauce and abundant. Now I understand why the cost of the gricia and that of the cacio e pepe are identical: because the bacon is not at all crunchy and has no personality. Furthermore, I believe that the choice of dishes offered on the menu does not fully respect the customers as it leaves very little choice. I hope this can only be a constructive criticism. Where did the previous chef go...

06/01/2025: The Simonetti winery is one of those places where any good intention to keep things light disappears in an instant. Come on, who are we kidding?! You come here to really enjoy yourself. Carbonara, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, porchetta and all the other irresistible dishes make you completely lose track of time. And yes, maybe a few extra kilos escape us... but it's really worth it, because every bite will leave you with an indelible memory of what you tasted at the fantastic Cantina Simonetti. Congratulations guys... and thank you (indeed, keep it yours 😉)!
