08/10/2025: A special place to visit, with waiters in historical clothing and rooms full of ancient or fake finds... In any case, worth seeing.

17/09/2025: Delicious food but poor service. Only one server, who was very fake-friendly and spoke absolutely no English. We were a large group, and she was obviously overwhelmed. The food came in batches (some finished before others). She took so long to pay that the card reader's battery died, and I had to pay in cash. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

12/10/2025: This is my second time here. The food is absolutely delicious, and the price is reasonable, considering you're just steps from Piazza del Popolo. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and they're always prompt in recommending dishes, even to foreigners (they wanted the carbonara with ravioli!!!!). I'm taking one star off only because of the long wait (about half an hour), which could be improved.

03/10/2025: We arrived late into Rome and were looking for some feel good food after a long day of travel. We normally try to use Google and search for restaurants 4.5 and above so La Taverna Del Costa would not make the cut based on it’s present rating. However to pasta Vongole and Mushroom/Sausage Penne were outstanding. With a half carafe if house red we had a great meal. We were met by the staff with smiles and great service. It was a humble yet warm environment, that just served the best everyday food. It deserves a much higher rating and is Excellent value.

30/09/2025: Interesting atmosphere with good music, popular with people of all ages. Friendly and fast bartenders.

12/09/2025: Nice for an aperitif The place is located on the terrace of the wool mill. For an evening aperitif, the location is very nice. Table service only for food, while drinks are served at the counter.

10/08/2025: As I am writing I am reluctantly complaining for a unacceptable delay in serving pizzas. On top of that there is an awful loud music that is not appropriate for a restaurant. Dreadful....ghastly...that's not the way to manage a business.

09/08/2025: Hi everyone, I went last night, August 8, at table 88. The pizza is "precise" and despite the crowd, the wait at the table was manageable. Everything was good and not to be underestimated, the atmosphere was peaceful and healthy for everyone 🌝

27/10/2025: Good morning, I wanted to write about my experience at this place where I went to eat last night with some friends and then attended a (very nice) fashion show where they had organized a fixed menu. Unfortunately, since I couldn't eat many things, I only asked for a second course (mixed grilled fish) without the menu accompanied by a small plate of vegetables (aubergines and courgettes). On the website menu I had seen that the cost was €20 for the grilled fish and vegetables. I honestly didn't pay attention but I think the price was around €6 or €5. When I got to the checkout I was asked to pay €35 just for the grilled fish with a small plate of vegetables. When I asked for clarification I was told that the price was that. So I ask, if the price on the website is €20, how come the price changes when you get to the checkout? A very nice evening thanks to the fashion show and the very kind staff, but rejected for what I wrote above.

14/09/2025: We went here for an aperitif among the vines... the view, food, and wine were excellent! Perfect for sunset... They customized the menu for both those with allergies and pregnant women. The arrangement of the pallets holding the food could be slightly reconsidered; perhaps they were too big for the available space. The staff were very kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back!!!

30/08/2025: Aperitif in the vineyard. A lovely experience, with good food and wine. You have to accept the occasional bug and a bit of dirt, but that's part of the experience, in my opinion.

The moment you walk in, the place radiates warmth and personality — the kind that only comes from real passion. I had a glass of vino bianco, crisp and refreshing, the perfect opening act. Then came the pasta… First, a cacio e pepe that was silky, peppery perfection — no fuss, just flavour done right. Then, a carbonara that could convert even the most stubborn skeptics. Rich, comforting, and authentically Roman. The owner is an absolute standout — welcoming, funny, and clearly takes immense pride in every dish. Al19 isn’t just a meal — it’s a Roman experience. One I’d go back for in a heartbeat.

05/10/2025: Very unserious, the prices differ from what they listed on the menu, you order something and you get the same dish twice without any explanation, if you try to show them, they say that's what you ordered,.....it's not worth eating at that location.

04/10/2025: They managed to ruin a perfect evening!!! The story in short: this is a restaurant where you will be scammed by the staff. The employees' attitude is deplorable, and the QR code menu provided is specially designed to inflate the bill. Terrible food Terrible staff Do not recommend!!!

24/05/2025: A place known by pure chance, but it was a very pleasant discovery. The welcoming and nicely furnished environment, entire room, veranda and in the summer also outside. The service bordering on impeccable, courteous, polite and helpful. The excellent cuisine, the fish is delicious, the fresh pasta excellent and cooked to perfection, fried calamari excellent, the best I have ever eaten, crispy and slightly greasy batter, which makes it light and not at all heavy. We recommend this place for anyone who wants to eat well and in peace. Honest quality and price

12/09/2025: Because of where I'm staying, I get free coffee and croissants. I had low expectations based on the reviews, but they weren't! The cappuccino is delicious, and the croissants are very tasty. I read there's new management, so the place is very nice, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious and looks good.
