22/08/2025: During lunch (which we paid for at 4:49 pm), our rental car was broken into inside their parking lot. Windows smashed, all 6 suitcases and 3 kids’ backpacks stolen — clothing, shoes, electronics (drone, iPads, gimbal), medicines, prescription glasses, custom orthotics, children’s toys and keepsakes. Essentially our entire trip was gutted in a single afternoon. What shocked us even more than the theft was the lack of help from management. When we told Paolo, his response was indifferent. He told us to call the police ourselves and only started showing concern once we spoke with other guests arriving. He made endless excuses about the camera footage (“owner not here,” “no access”), even though the cameras are connected to a monitor right in the lobby. It was thanks to a good Samaritan down the street — not the restaurant — that we were able to get the police to come (almost 2 hours later). Paolo eventually handed them a USB with the footage, but by then we had lost hours of our trip and had to spend the evening at the police station filing reports. The aftermath for our family was devastating: our children were shaken, my 4-year-old will probably never want to return to Pompeii, and we were forced to spend time and money replacing essentials at the start of a long trip. We later reached out to the owners, who admitted the theft happened on their property but took zero responsibility. Despite signage advertising “secure parking,” they claim it is “at your own risk.” Their idea of compensation? Three small bottles of water. Yes, the food was decent (though overpriced), but the real cost of this lunch was losing thousands of euros worth of belongings and the peace of mind of my children. My advice: Stay away from this restaurant and hotel. The owners do not care about your safety, do not support guests when something goes wrong, and hide behind excuses instead of offering help or goodwill. There are many wonderful, caring hosts across Italy — sadly, this was not one of them.

25/04/2025: Group of 5 friends passing through Salerno to go to Pompeii we stopped in this restaurant for lunch, nice clean place, very kind staff and excellent cuisine. Very honest bill. Fully satisfied

13/04/2025: Really poor food: in the starters the frying was soft and full of oil. Soggy bruschetta but the anchovy was good, various tureens with various preparations all full of oil. Honorable mention to the courgette flowers in which there was a thorn that stuck in the palate of one of the guests (we didn't know they were fish, no one pointed it out). Mediocre firsts. Not excellent service: the first lady who approaches the table from whom we ask for information, shouts and calls her colleague (because we asked if some dishes were suitable for pregnant women) saying: "you see, the ladies here are pregnant" all in a loud voice and with the room quite full. All in all, a nice location but without a view. Clean room and toilets. I count in the norm.

17/08/2025: The frittatina is still excellent (the price has doubled in 7 years), but the rest is just not so good. What a shame.

25/08/2025: Everything was good but a little expensive for the pizza, we spent €113 and there were 4 of us, 2 children, 2 adults, so really just for this reason I won't go again.

21/08/2025: A charming place, and that's all I have to say about the fond memory. The fish menu seemed to be fine and standard, although when I got home I felt quite ill eating a simple spaghetti with clams, where the only flavor was lemon. As for the fried food, it's fine. As for the meat, we ordered 1 kg of T-bone for around €80. The poor slice of meat wasn't cooked, but brutally cooked. It was left whole because it was inedible. Poor service, rude staff. Shocked that a slice of stewed meat was cooked for a child, an endless wait. I don't recommend it ❤️

19/08/2025: A quality restaurant nestled in the heart of one of the most beautiful towns in Cilento, Castellabate. Local products and raw materials in general treated with respect and cooked to perfection. The raw fish was phenomenal, the fish was incredibly fresh. The first courses were also exceptional, such as the spaghetti with clams and lemon, an explosion of flavor. The ravioli alla Luciano were also delicious, a must. The scialatielli were excellent. I noticed the chef's skill, especially in cooking the freshly caught fish. In fact, we tried a grilled sea bream, which many people overcook, drying it out and making the meat too dry. Ours, however, was moist and perfectly tender. The house Fiano was good. The desserts were excellent. The staff were friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. The owner was very elegant, helpful, and attentive. In short, we had a truly wonderful time; we truly enjoyed the dinner and it was a good value. We will definitely be back.

16/08/2025: THE WORST PLACE I'VE EATEN IN A LONG TIME. I don't like to kill you with reviews, but it was a real disaster. All the waiters were arrogant and rude. I politely asked them various questions, and they were always arrogant. I had to eat two dishes because the first one, the ravioli, was served with a portion of only three. A real disaster. They almost hit you when they took the dishes away.

01/08/2025: Very good pizza and friendly staff, but it's a shame that when you order takeout they don't make it right away, but only once you get there. And on peak days you have to wait a really long time.

28/05/2025: Pizzas made well without burning under very kind staff but above all fast because there are many who work in production. There are several rooms also for receptions a beautiful parking lot and a beautiful garden very well kept outside but you can also have lunch outside there are tables. All away from traffic and city smog.

06/08/2025: Per la seconda volta in una settimana abbiamo cenato con la mia famiglia allo Sparviero e consiglio vivamente questo ristorante per i seguenti motivi: 1)Location centralissima e fronte mare. 2)Il personale soprattutto la manager che si occupa delle prenotazioni e il sig.Mario sono 2 PERLE RARE!! Veri professionisti del settore gentili,veloci,discreti,ottimi conoscitori di vini (ci hanno consigliato un prosecco eccellente) 3)Risotti alla pescatore tra i più buoni che abbia mai mangiato in quanto perfetti nella cottura,porzioni abbondantissime,e pesce freschissimo.A seguire fritture di calamari eccellenti arrivate in tempi brevi. Siamo solo stati sfortunati con i dolci in quanto essendo VERAMENTE di produzione propria a km.zero siamo riusciti a degustare soltanto la caprese all’arancio e la sbriciolata in quanto gli altri dolci erano esauriti. A questo punto Trovo sia inutile menzionare il prezzo perché dove c’è qualità,professionalità,massima attenzione al cliente(cosa molto rara al giorno d’oggi)il prezzo a mio avviso è relativo! 03/09/2025: A bad experience is an understatement. The staff was friendly, but completely understaffed for the number of guests. I repeatedly asked the owner about the wines, but he initially seemed lost, then told me, "You can find everything on the wine list." We decided to order a fish of about 1 kg, and it arrived already cleaned in mini portions... I asked to see it and also for the head to be brought to the table so I could at least see it, but they said nothing. I'm shocked by this superficiality. It's unfortunate that I had this bad experience, especially since the bill was 60 euros each.

31/07/2025: A charming place, with incredibly fresh and well-prepared fish, and excellent first courses with just the right amount of seasoning that adds flavor to the dish, far removed from those oil-soaked first courses that rival only plain pasta. Compliments to the chef. Friendly and courteous staff. Excellent value for money... what more can I say? Highly recommended, we'll be back soon.

02/05/2025: Pizze particolari e molto gustose in questo locale umile ma accogliente a pochi passi dalla stazione di Napoli! Se abitassi qui sarebbe sicuramente la mia pizzeria da asporto di riferimento!

01/05/2025: Gita con amici per 4 giorni; trattoria scelta dopo aver consultato recensioni Tripadvisor. In un ambiente semplice, ci siamo trovati talmente bene che abbiamo pranzato e cenato solo lì per tutto il soggiorno, piatti molto buoni e prezzi eccellenti. Da segnalare spaghetti con gli scampi, polipo alla griglia, gnocchetti alla sorrentina, parmigiana di melanzane e pesce spada ai ferri. Apprezzabile la cordialità e disponibilità del personale, preparato anche a spiegare la preparazione di alcuni piatti. Consigliato!

13/03/2025: Ho organizzato un pranzo con le mie amiche in questo ristorante centralissimo nella splendida piazza, difronte alla chiesa di Santa Sofia. Nonostante fossimo in 15 la proprietaria e il suo staff ci hanno offerto un ottimo servizio, veloce, senza lunghe attese nonostante le ordinazioni tutte diverse. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo sia la carne che il pesce e la signora Susanna ci ha anche omaggiato di una piccola bottiglia di limoncello. Ci siamo trovate benissimo e soprattutto abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo che ci abbiano dato la possibilità di apparecchiare la tavola personalizzandola con i nostri colori. Lo consiglio vivamente
