10/11/2025: Amazing place! Spectacular sea views, a relaxing atmosphere, and super friendly staff. We had lunch just a few meters from the water with truly delicious dishes: a fresh seafood appetizer, flavorful seafood paccheri, and a light dessert with cream and strawberries that was simply heavenly.
A glass of white wine, a sea breeze, and a breathtaking view... what more could you ask for?
After lunch, we also enjoyed an aperitif overlooking the sea, and it was simply perfect.
La Gavitella is one of those places where you can truly relax and enjoy the Amalfi Coast in all its splendor. ❤️

19/01/2026: I went there at the beginning of the year, it was the only one in the area open and eager to work, you can see that they are humble, down-to-earth people, a family-run place with a beautiful view and excellent food at reasonable prices, definitely recommended.

20/12/2025: Limited flexibility in editing the food items which is standard in italy but they were very kind to us as we are vegetarian. They made us Gnocchi sorrentino and it was the best italian dish I may have had in my whole life. Ate it twice in a 3-4 day stay in positano. Honestly if you are vegetarian the dish will not disappoint it is hands down created for the gods. So fantastic! The tomato sauce and the basil really shine through the dish, it is truly something special! Beautiful family! Cheers to the chef making such an extraordinary dish, yet so simple. I refuse to eat Gnocchi anywhere else because I don’t want to be disappointed. Truly hand crafted!

Friendly staff, they were very kind.
13/03/2026: A simple but welcoming restaurant. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent: a well-made modern pizza and delicious pasta al genovese. A minor drawback was the wine by the glass, which wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the restaurant. The beer was much better. Very good value for money, less than €40 for two.

Back a day later, even better! Salumi and cheese platter... some cocktails. Brilliant. Our favourite place in Napoli.

09/01/2026: I've been to this trattoria before under the previous management, and the quality and flavor of the dishes are beyond question; everything is excellent. But I have a few comments regarding the quantity and price: €20 for a plate of pasta a genovese with 10 rigatoni, €24 for a lamb main course with three pieces, and in total €180 for four people: a first course, a second course, two side dishes, a half-liter of wine, and two bottles of water. I'm not arguing with the price, given the location and the day (New Year's Day), but with the quantity of the dishes.
06/01/2026: Highly recommended. The mixed antipasto platter is generous and features typical local flavors. Vittorio is a truly attentive and genuine host. The pasta alla genovese we shared after the appetizer was also exquisite. Not to mention the lemon tiramisu, a real treat... a complimentary liqueur to finish.

16/12/2025: I went there for lunch on business and I highly recommend it. The meat is excellent. In the evening, they also serve a pizzeria, and the prices are excellent. A Margherita pizza costs €5, which is a good comparison.
15/12/2025: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance because it was the closest to where I was staying. It was a real discovery, because even though they had a large company lunch there, we had excellent service and a truly delicious meal, all for a reasonable price!

02/03/2026: This place is one of the best restaurants we've been to on our entire trip to Europe. I felt like I was at home with my family. The service from the whole team (one big family) was wonderful, and the atmosphere was super pleasant. The food was delicious and fresh. It's definitely a place we'll go back to a thousand times.

02/12/2025: This Osteria has a great atmosphere and food. The food was simple, but delicious. Wines are excellent with very reasonable prices, especially Lacryma Christi, 20 € for a bottle. Baba-dessert was highlight of our visit in rainy November evening.

13/02/2026: This is exactly what you expect when you want to eat in a typical Neapolitan setting. The place is traditional, with a limited menu of fresh products; the clams and gnocchi were delicious, as were the polpette. It just lacks a bit of a relaxed atmosphere.
12/02/2026: The pasta was very good. That's all we ordered, as there was no written menu with prices. Everything was verbal. A shame. When you can read a menu, you might be tempted by another dish, meat, fish, or even dessert. But we weren't sure we'd understand everything, especially in a touristy town, and we were afraid of getting a hefty bill with surprises or being ripped off. The bill was reasonable for pasta. We didn't want to take any more risks and finished our meal elsewhere.
