12/11/2025: We enjoyed breakfast a couple of mornings, everything was excellent, excellent service.

27/10/2025: The aperitif was good, with good parmigiana and Ascoli olives. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The waitress, Sara, was kind and helpful. An excellent wine bar and restaurant experience.

29/09/2025: Right across from the train station is this well-maintained, bright shop with a good selection of products. Prices are truly reasonable, and the staff are friendly and immediately approachable. If I ever pass through Ancona again, this place will definitely be a stop. Highly recommended.

16/01/2026: It took a while to understand where the parking was because it wasn't marked, we had booked for 8:30 pm and we arrived 15 minutes late and we apologized. We ordered 2 first courses, 1 grilled fish and 1 salad, there were 3 of us and he wanted to know what we wanted for the second course, I replied let's see, after the first courses he came back every now and then to ask what we wanted and in the meantime my sister-in-law was eating the salad and my son was in the bathroom and I said that as soon as my son arrived we would ask for the dessert, it was 9:30 pm, then he rudely told us if you move at this rate we'll arrive at midnight, I'm here only for you, so we got up asking for the bill and he declared that we arrived three quarters of an hour ago when at 9:45 pm we were paying, then for no reason he started to insult us heavily, even on a personal level and using swear words. A rude, rude, offensive person and if he's tired because he's a certain age, he should be in bed at 9 pm instead of insulting you because no customers they give you work. don't you ask a question why your place is always empty??????

04/01/2026: I expected much more from the pizza, but I was a bit disappointed. The service was good, but the waiters were kind enough to find us a seat on an August evening. The atmosphere was fantastic, making for a different kind of evening. Avoid August.

05/09/2025: Very nice location in the main square. We waited over 45 minutes for two pizzas. The men next to us ate half an hour before us because they were friends. Not exactly fair. The pizzas were similar to those from Co-op or Esselunga, frozen. The worst pizza I've eaten in 54 years. The pizza is something else entirely...

23/03/2026: A positive experience! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and unobtrusive. The restaurant's unique decor creates a pleasant atmosphere. The menu isn't extensive, but it reflects the "few but good" philosophy: it offers four first courses and four second courses, plus appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. We chose the pork tenderloin and I was very pleased: tender, with an excellent creamy base... I must say I was also very curious to try the pork shank... There's a wide selection of desserts; the only flaw with the desserts is the slightly high price (€7). The rest of the menu is average. A very welcome note: there's no cover charge, an increasingly rare and certainly welcome thing. Recommended!

31/03/2026: A nice place with a large window, but too cramped when full. There were several tables, and it was difficult to move around. They could easily remove a few seats to make things more comfortable. The service was friendly, but too intrusive. The waiter was way too close. Furthermore, the long, unkempt beard, especially for those in the dining room, wasn't the best. Moving on to the food: the dishes were too simple and poorly crafted. The pasta with gorgonzola and pistachio was really basic: pasta, gorgonzola, and pistachio, lacking structure. It seemed thrown together, with perhaps a little cream, but not much. It wasn't very well-structured and lacked flavor. The grilled meat arrived lukewarm and quite dry. Not quite there. The fillet, which I asked to add to the grilled meat, arrived folded and not cleaned of sinew. I understand the change, but it was unpleasant to eat. An unexpected experience. We won't be returning, but thanks anyway for your efforts.

08/12/2025: We went for lunch on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The refuge is a welcoming gathering place next to a roaring fireplace, run by an all-female team, all fantastic. The cuisine is truly authentic and rooted in tradition, with generous portions to say the least. It's exactly the place you'd want to stop after a hike on one of the many trails nearby. It's our go-to place when we're in Ascoli Piceno. Long live the Rifugio Paci!

07/12/2025: Unacceptable experience. We had booked well in advance for eight people; three paying guests later joined, and despite numerous attempts to call to let them know, the restaurant never responded. Upon arrival, we showed up with a small, well-behaved dog—and this was in a restaurant where other dogs were clearly allowed. The staff's reaction was immediately hostile and unreasonable: they yelled at us that the dog was "not allowed," with no willingness to engage in discussion or inconsistency with what was already happening in the restaurant. The attitude was totally unprofessional, rude, and lacking any attention to the customer. They ruined the lunch of a group of ten, demonstrating poor management skills and a clear disregard for the quality of service. Absolutely not recommended.

15/02/2026: Friendly and very welcoming staff. Traditional food with the typical flavors of the Sila. The family atmosphere makes you feel at home. Highly recommended.

15/02/2026: 2 orders made on Deliveroo for gluten-free pizza, two orders arrived with wheat flour dough. Perhaps they didn't understand the inconvenience they create for people who don't notice the error. If you can't guarantee the service, avoid it.

21/10/2025: A little corner of Puglia where the owner makes his excellent pizzas for local regulars. Everything is calm, friendly, and unfussy. As the saying goes, it costs nothing.

17/09/2025: We had some really delicious pizzas at Pinocchio. We had a bomba (pizza without red sauce) and a vegetable pizza. Very tasty. The price/quality ratio is perfect. Drinks were included and the chef was friendly. The decor is simple, but we came for the pizza, not the furniture, right? 5 stars! A must-do if you're in the area.
